Cambridge, MD Indian Fusion Wedding by Akbar Sayed Photography

The lovely Cassie and Kishan wrapped up the festivities with fun dances, elegance and joy all packed in a memorable night! Before the excitement of their last event, Akbar Sayed Photography snapped all the glam these two exuded in their evening attire! Maharani Cassie opted for a stunning Sue Wong Gatsby-like feather dress styled with a sparkling design that allowed her to flaunt the fantastic mehndi creation that Mala Amin designed in her arms. The honorable guests were delighted with a sumptuous menu from IndAroma which made everyone’s palette sizzle. As the attendees walked into the hall they could appreciate an exceptional decor design that transformed the hall of the Hyatt Chesapeake Bay into a unique setting. L'Ambiance Inc. added colorful florals and billowing fabrics that surrounded the guests as they hoist the bride and groom high above the crowd to the fun and exciting rhythms of DynastyAV and an energetic live performance by Bachelor Boys Band! Enjoy all the highlights of this charming multicultural affair in our complete gallery!

Columbus, OH Indian Wedding by SIA Digital Studio

Where to even begin talking about the amazing wedding of Puja and Amey? The bliss, the love and the unforgettable moments were part of their main events! Surrounded by bright lights and their dearest ones, these soulmates celebrated their extraordinary Sangeet at the splendid Hilton Columbus at Easton. The memorable night was a visual treat with lots of pop color drapery, a vibrant dance floor encircled by flashy umbrellas designed by B3 Event Management. Our sweethearts assembled the most beautiful Sangeet outfits we have ever seen! A gorgeous pink floral lehenga skirt paired with a golden choli blouse was Puja’s choice while Raja Amey celebrated with a seriously elegant royal blue Sherwani with an exquisite golden embroidery work on the neck and wristbands! SIA Digital Studio saw these two dancing and having the time of their lives in the evening of their big day and have for us a sneak peek of the joyous festivity in our full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my groom through online dating. I knew he was the one when we couldn’t stop talking to each other. We would text 24/7 and could talk about literally anything without getting bored!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal was such a surprise! I was out to brunch with a friend and when I came back to the apartment, there were candles and rose petals all over. After he proposed, he surprised me with a video of all my family & closest friends sharing their congrats. We spent the rest of the day celebrating with our friends. It was perfect!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning an Indian wedding is always stressful based on the number of events there are but everything turned out perfect! Since I work in the creative industry and already had a vision for how I wanted everything to look, it didn’t take me long to find vendors who could make it all come to life. I wanted a jewel tones decor & floral theme that was unique from what other people have done. I also wanted palm trees running down the aisle which turned out amazing! The most important details for me were the food and the DJ- which both turned out amazing!!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
All of my dresses came from India and I wanted colors that would coordinate well with my decor for photos. I chose burgundy and gold for my wedding outfit & my groom's and navy for the wedding party. Although I loved my wedding outfits, my favorites were my Sangeet and reception dresses. My Sangeet dress was a pink floral lehenga from Mahima Mahajan and my reception dress was custom made from Gaurav Gupta.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable parts of planning for me were the small creative details that really made our wedding special and unique. We made a giant movie poster backdrop & banners with our photos on them for the reception, funny Snapchat filters, creative signature cocktail signs, custom place cards, fun bridal party gifts, etc. that really helped set our wedding apart. (all from The Girl in Tulle)

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Based on what our friends and family have told us, everyone especially loved the food at all the events and how smooth and organized the entire weekend was. Everything was perfectly on time and all the dances and speeches were fun and ran pretty quickly!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The most memorable moment of the wedding for me was walking down the aisle with my dad. It was so surreal seeing all my family and friends in the same room and it made everything finally feel real. I also loved the reception after party we had. My sister planned for a huge buffet of food for everyone (including chips & queso- my favorite) and it was so much fun just relaxing and being able to hang out with all our family and friends.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
My favorite decor for the weekend was the Sangeet. My decorator and I had spent the least time discussing it but it turned out so amazing and we even had a bike trolley to take photos with. We also had dances and singers perform at the Sangeet which was so much fun! I also loved our reception cake. I had found the exact cake I wanted on Pinterest & Short North Piece of Cake was able to duplicate it exactly!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don’t stress about the planning! Have fun with it and let the little things go because you won’t even notice them on the day of and everything will turn out great!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I absolutely loved the venue we used. (Hilton Easton). The guests loved how they could walk to so many restaurants, shopping, etc. and we had so much fun working with our contact. (Karen)

Wait for the return of this glam affair in our next feature!

Roselle, IL South Asian Wedding by Sapan Ahuja Photography

We’ve witnessed so much style and glamour in Miral and Nikul’s South Asian wedding soiree, that it’s no surprise that the reception was pure perfection as well. Back at the Pearl Banquets & Conference Center, the creative decor team from Elegance Decor was busy as bees transforming the spacious ballroom with vibrant fuschia and blue decor. Large, hanging orchids, oodles of fragrant blooms, sparkling crystal garlands, and lavender luminescence elevated the space into a tropical paradise. Meanwhile, Omehabiba Khan was busy transforming Maharani Miral into a modern day princess. A sleek updo, striking makeup, and a gorgeous blue anarkali gown completed this lovely bride’s look. Swirling henna designs by Henna Moments and statement earrings provided the perfect finishing touches. As she and her dapper hubby Nikul made their grand entrance to the reception party, jaws dropped at their radiance! With beats by Dhiraj Gupta from JSM Entertainment rocking the dance floor, guests couldn’t wait to get up and gyrate. The bride and groom cut a towering, fondant wedding cake baked by Delish Cakes - Bloomingdale and danced the night away surrounded by their elated loved ones. All the fab wedding moments were captured by Sapan Ahuja Photography, so peruse the photos in the full gallery for plenty of bridal inspo!

Roselle, IL South Asian Wedding by Sapan Ahuja Photography

Welcome back everyone! We’re in Illinois recapping Miral and Nikul’s wondrous South Asian wedding bash at the Pearl Banquets & Conference Center. We must say, we’re swooning over all the color and pizzazz bursting from these sensational photos by Sapan Ahuja Photography! The floral and design team from Elegance Decor decorated the indoor space in varying hues of gold, pink, and sky blue, which brought an ethereal spark of glam to the soiree. The draping in the stage area was uniquely beautiful, and we’re loving the way the blue tones contrasted so strikingly with the neutral, blush decor. Miral dazzled in a decadent Sabyasachi lehenga on her special day, and she told us, I knew I was going to be a Sabyasachi Bride the day I came across his collection online. I had always wanted to wear a regal, maroon and gold outfit, and Sabyasachi was the perfect fit! Adding to her beauty were the hair and makeup gurus from Omehabiba Khan and mehndi artists from Henna Moments, who gussied up our Maharani with shimmering makeup and swirling henna designs. Miral and Nikul couldn’t have been happier as they recited their sacred vows to each other, and guests cheered with delight as the two were declared Mr. and Mrs. The photographers from Sapan Ahuja Photography captured all the joy, so hurry over the full gallery to enjoy all the precious snaps.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my husband on a dating app called OkCupid! I think I knew he was "The One" when we went on a 7 day cruise together after dating for only 1 month!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Our Proposal Story was a truly a fairytale. My husband, Nikul, proposed with the most beautiful ring in my favorite place, Florence, Italy!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I was going to be a Sabyasachi Bride the day I came across his collection online! I had always wanted to wear a regal, maroon and gold outfit, and Sabyasachi was the perfect fit!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Delegate tasks! On the day of your wedding, forget about everything else, just focus on being in the moment.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My mehndi was one of my favorite things during the pre-wedding events! I worked with my wonderful mehndi artist to create a personalized mehndi design that included a beautiful replica of the Duomo (in Florence, Italy), important dates in our relationship, my husbands name and a portrait of him and I! She did a phenomenal job!

Ceremony deets coming right up!
