When Dhwani & Vineeth said "I do" in Cabo San Lucas, they didn't just take the plunge—they took flight! This spectacular celebration wasn't just a wedding—it was a cinematic escape full of culture, glamour, and a little unexpected turbulence (spoiler alert: a helicopter made a guest appearance). If you've ever wondered what it looks like when modern romance meets traditional flair under the Mexican sun, this is it. Buckle up, maharanis—this is one wedding journey you'll want to stay seated for.

The iconic Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos served as the stage for Dhwani & Vineeth's dreamy beachfront bash. With the waves crashing in the background and sunlit skies above, this Indian destination wedding had all the ingredients of a Bollywood blockbuster…minus the dramatic villain, thankfully. (Unless you count the wind messing with dupattas during the photoshoot.) From the moment guests arrived, Events by VaishaliJulie Premji, and Yes In Cabo orchestrated an unforgettable multi-day celebration with precision and flair. Think color, rhythm, luxury, and just the right amount of chaos that makes every South Asian wedding legendary.

Now let's talk about the magic-makers behind the lens. Aventography Photo & Video Studios didn't just capture the weekend—they made it timeless. From sun-drenched portraits to the swoon-worthy drone shots and cinematic storytelling, their team truly brought Cabo to life. Every candid smile, stolen glance, and choreographed dance move was documented with artful finesse. And yes, they somehow even made a helicopter fly-by look romantic. Dhwani was a vision of bridal perfection in outfits that made her look as if she had stepped right off a couture runway and into the arms of her groom. Paired with flawless hair and makeup by Cabo Styling and Raffitagm, she brought regal elegance to the beach. Her mehndi, delicately crafted by the experts at Styling Trio, was an actual work of art—and let's be honest, probably got more compliments than Vineeth's dance moves (sorry, Vineeth).

Highlight of the ceremony? Dhwani's grand entrance, of course. The aisle, dressed with blooms from Zuniga Deco Cancun and Emporio Arte Floral, was as vibrant as it was fragrant. The music, courtesy of G2 Singh Music and Desi Junction DJs (with a set by Paras Khara that probably blew out a few sandals), kept everyone dancing late into the night. And let's not forget the epic lighting and AV by Inspire Mexico, which turned the reception into a full-on festival. Oh, and about that helicopter—yes, Fly Cabo delivered a jaw-dropping aerial moment that had jaws dropping and phones recording. Because nothing says "we've arrived" quite like flying in on your wedding day.

This wedding redefines destination weddings with heart, glam, and just a bit of aerial drama.

Boston, MA Fusion Wedding by Ptaufiq Photography

What happens when a chance meeting on Newbury Street turns into a cinematic romance? You get Shaloo & Timothy—a couple whose love story is as beautiful as their wedding celebration. With three unforgettable days of events, from turmeric-dusted laughter to skyline views, their Boston-based wedding honored South Asian traditions while breaking new ground with unapologetic authenticity.

Their journey began with a haircut, but not just any haircut. Shaloo walked into Timothy’s salon for a trim and left with butterflies in his stomach. Over time (and a few expertly styled fades), the connection blossomed into something undeniable. Years later, Shaloo proposed high above Manhattan at The Summit at One Vanderbilt, surrounded by clouds and cheers. Timothy’s tearful “yes” was just the beginning. The festivities started with a bright and playful Haldi at the InterContinental Boston, where guests were coated in love—and turmeric! Timothy & Shaloo, both in vibrant yellow, were surrounded by close family, laughter, and petals galore. Intricate henna by Henna Cafe, glowing string lights, and joyful dancing followed their Mehndi night.

And then came the Sangeet at the Sam Adams Boston Tap Room—a night of music, dance, and surprises. The highlight? A choreographed dance performance from both families that turned the dance floor into a Bollywood blockbuster set. Boston had never seen a baraat quite like this. Shaloo & Timothy made history with Faneuil Hall Marketplace’s first-ever same-sex baraat, arriving in style with a New Deal Horse and Carriage. The joy was infectious, and the energy unforgettable.

For the State Room—A Longwood Venue wedding ceremony, the couple wore matching ivory sherwanis designed by Rivesse Clothing, a nod to tradition with a modern, tailored twist. O Luxe Design, brought to life by planner Soraya Events, transformed the space into a floral dream with crisp white blossoms and floating floral columns. Makeup artists from Glamour Cosmetics, Shimmered Beauty, and Weddings by Kashmir ensured the couple glowed—inside and out—for every photo, captured flawlessly by Ptaufiq Photography. Known for their ability to tell stories through a lens, the Ptaufiq team didn’t just document the events—they felt them. Every candid laugh, every teardrop, every tender glance was framed with artistry and emotion. From the golden Haldi to the soaring skyline ceremony, their photos transformed fleeting moments into timeless memories. Whether it was a quiet first look or a wild dance floor moment, they brought the soul of the celebration to life in every frame.

The couple’s custom cake by I Dream of Jeanne Cakes was stunning and delicious, reflecting the attention to detail throughout. Signature drinks (Espresso Martinis and Old Fashioneds), a lively photo booth from The Party Fun, and exquisite stationery from Rohan & Aparna Invitations completed the experience. They chose to stay true to their story, tossing aside the pressure of doing things the “right” way in favor of doing it their way—and that’s exactly where the magic unfolded. Cheers to a celebration as bold and beautiful as their love!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met on a Friday morning on Newbury Street in Boston. I was a busy professional in need of a haircut; he was the charming stylist who stole my heart the moment I sat in his chair. It felt cinematic, like time paused when our eyes met. I didn’t understand what I was feeling at first, but I knew it was something real. After a few haircuts and plenty of flirtation, I realized I wasn’t just getting a new look—I was meeting my person. I knew he was "the one" when our conversations made time disappear, and I couldn’t imagine a future without him.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We had been together for four years and had already talked about marriage, but I still wanted to give him a moment to remember. I proposed at The Summit at One Vanderbilt in NYC—ninety floors above the city we both love, with a breathtaking skyline around us. I arranged for a hidden photographer and had a speech planned, but I honestly blacked out from nerves and emotion. Timothy said yes through tears and laughter, and the crowd around us applauded. It was magic.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We knew we wanted a wedding that honored both our cultures and personalities. From the start, our goal was to create an inclusive, joyful, meaningful celebration. Our planner, Soraya from @soraya_events, was instrumental in helping us bring that vision to life. We hosted a three-day celebration with vibrant Indian traditions and Western elegance.

The Haldi was held at the InterContinental Boston, the Baraat wove through historic Faneuil Hall (marking their first same-sex Baraat ever!), and the ceremony and reception were hosted at the State Room, with Boston’s skyline as our backdrop.

Our hair and makeup teams (@shimmeredbeauty, @weddingsbykashmir, @glamourcosmeticsofficial) made us feel our absolute best. Each outfit by @rivesseclothing was custom-designed to reflect the meaning of every event. The decor—bold, elegant, and symbolic—was handled by @oluxedesign and @jddesignsboston, from the floral mandap to the custom black-and-white dance floor that embodied our “Yin-Yang” theme.

How did you select your wedding attire? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Timothy and I collaborated with Rivesse Clothing to create matching ivory sherwanis that honored Hindu wedding traditions while reflecting our personal style. For the reception, we wore opposite black-and-white tuxedos to symbolize balance and harmony. We chose colors that reflected cultural meaning and personal flair—yellow for the Haldi, deep blue for the Mehendi, ivory for the ceremony, and bold black-and-white for the reception.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most joyful part was dreaming it up together. Sitting down after work, wine in hand, throwing out ideas for playlists, outfits, or food—it felt like a creative project of the heart. And collaborating with our incredible planner and vendors made it all feel smooth and exciting.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
So many guests told us they loved how every detail reflected us. The fusion of Indian rituals with heartfelt vows, the vibrant colors, the signature drinks (Espresso Martinis and Old Fashioneds), and the incredible DJ (@teambsl) had everyone dancing all night. Many also said it was their first time attending a same-sex South Asian wedding and felt honored and inspired to witness it.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment we saw each other during our first look. We were standing on the balcony overlooking Boston—just the two of us—and it felt like time stood still again, just like the day we met. That, and the Milni ceremony, when our families met and embraced for the first time. It was emotional, healing, and filled with love.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our Haldi was vibrant and intimate—held outdoors with turmeric, laughter, and music.

Our Mehendi evening featured intricate henna by @hennacafe_designs, live performances, and joyful dancing under string lights.
The Sangeet was pure fun. Our families surprised us with a choreographed dance that brought the house down!

At the reception, the black-and-white theme continued with bold floral installations, mirrored tables, and moody lighting by @jacobco_creative. The dance floor (by @jdrentalsllc) was the heartbeat of the night.

Do you have any words of wisdom for other couples planning their wedding?
Stay true to your story. Don’t feel pressured to do things the “right” way—do them your way. Be intentional with what you include, but also give yourself space to let go and be present. The best memories come from moments of authenticity and joy, not perfection.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
We’re so grateful to all our vendors who made the experience unforgettable. The cake from @jtcakesboston was both delicious and stunning. The photobooth (@thepartyfun) was a huge hit. Our baraat horses (@newdealhorsecarriage) brought the wow factor, and @blackstonequartet set the mood during cocktail hour with elegance and soul.

And most of all, we’re honored to have celebrated our love in a way that was deeply us and hopefully inspiring to others. Representation matters, and we hope our story shows that queer, intercultural love deserves center stage.

Every detail—from the music to the mandap—reflected their story, beautifully planned and shared.

Riviera Maya, MX Indian Wedding by Pixan Photography

Under the warm Riviera Maya sun, where the turquoise ocean met pristine white sands, Saloni & Kerren embarked on their forever journey. El Dorado Royal provided the perfect stage for this incredible Indian wedding, where every moment looked straight out of a Bollywood movie scene. Drums in Paradise delivered an unforgettable experience. As Kerren made his way to the ceremony, the beats of the dhol echoed along the Riviera Maya coastline, creating an infectious rhythm that drew everyone into the celebration. Looking regal in red, Saloni peeked from behind her vibrant bridal attire, flashing a smile that could light up the coastline.

As the ceremony began, guests were treated to a feast for the senses. Aisle Plan Your Day ensured every detail was on point, blending tradition with a modern twist that spoke to the couple's unique style. And if you're wondering about this dream's soundtrack, Alex Corbanezi's artistry in hair and makeup brings a distinctive touch of elegance and sophistication to every bride, and Saloni is no exception. In these photos, Alex's work elevates her natural beauty, adding a radiant glow suited for each setting of her wedding day.

But it was the reception where the magic truly ignited. Enigma London filled the air with beats that kept the energy high, seamlessly blending traditional tunes with modern hits that had guests of all ages on their feet. Saloni & Kerren's grand entrance was a whirlwind of color and sparkles, setting the tone for a night of dance and laughter. The couple took to the floor, moving in perfect harmony as confetti rained down, creating an enchanting scene that felt like a page from a fairytale.

In the captured moments of Saloni & Kerren, Pixan Photography masterfully plays with natural elements and light to create a sense of magic. Each shot is a blend of artistic framing and personal intimacy. Whether it's a romantic embrace under the shade of palm trees, a couple bathed in the glow of ambient light, or the quiet elegance of Saloni's bridal portraits, they find a way to make each image feel like a frame from a beautifully scripted romance.
