Purvi and Hiren’s Indian ceremony set-up at The Marigold was chock-full of bridal inspiration. We are big fans of mixing sunset hues with golden Indian accents, and Abhishek Decorators combined these two concepts seamlessly for the ceremony decor. The royal furniture and hundreds of flickering candles against pink and orange chiffon draping was a gorgeous contrast. Guests jumped for joy at the emotional affair when the couple were declared Mr. and Mrs. Purvi was a vision in a beautiful white and red lehenga, with amazingly ornate jewelry and picture-perfect beauty details by Makeup by Anita. After the sweet ceremony, Purvi and Hiren were ready to get the party started at their reception soiree. The newlyweds were a breathtaking couple, with Hiren in a fitted tux and Purvi in a diaphanous peach gown. Again, Abhishek Decorators created stunning reception decor in hues of purple and white. Guests had a fantastic time noshing on bites by Chand Palace and rocking out to music by Premier Entertainment. Kudos to the planning masters from Tum Hi Ho Events for organizing every detail to perfection. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Hiren and I met while working at an investment bank in NYC. We like to joke that we fell in love over our mutual love for excel formulas. Every morning we would go grab coffee together in Grand Central Station. Little did Hiren know that I didn't really like coffee but I liked the company! Our friendship soon turned into a romance.

I knew Hiren was the one from very early on. I don't have a specific moment where I feel like I knew but rather it was a the feeling that just kept growing. I could not picture my life without him. He was always so calm, cool and collected. I was the opposite, always worrying and worked up over things. He just had this way of calming me down and supporting me in every way. Hiren is the ying to my yang and I knew that I wanted him around forever!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

On December 5th, 2015 we went ice skating at the Rockefeller Center in front of the Christmas tree! I was so excited to finally go and it was even more special because we were celebrating an anniversary. We skated around the rink soaking in this already magical moment. The rink started to clear out but Hiren would not let me leave. He was adamant about getting a picture of us in front of the tree on the ice (the funny part is he never asks to take pictures when we are out). Suddenly John Legend's All Of Me started playing and Hiren got down on one knee in front of our family, friends, and hundreds of total strangers. Might I add that he managed to do it smoothly in skates without falling! It was a magical moment!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I went to India in search of my bridal lengha. I knew going in I wanted an all white dress with a bit of red somewhere. Prior to leaving for India I searched online for different styles and ideas but was never really able to find what I wanted. On the first day of shopping it was the first dress I saw in the store. I didn't want to get too excited because it felt too surreal. How could I have found my dress so quickly. I continued to look at different ones but kept going back to the first one. It was an all white lengha with gold details a red dupatta. As soon as I tried it on I felt like it was made just for me!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

We have heard so many great things about the venue! We picked Marigold as our wedding venue when it was still being built. All we saw were renderings of the finished product but it was just the type of venue we were looking for. A modern style banquet hall with elegant and glamorous finishes. I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't nervous about how it would turn out but the place was even better than I pictured and all the guests loved it. There was a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour space with fountains and a gazebo, perfect for pictures. Our guest really enjoyed experiencing a brand new hall! I can't wait to attend a wedding there so I can experience what they did at ours.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

I always think back to our reception. DJ Ambition had the crowd going the whole time and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor. I loved watching Hiren enjoying himself and dancing the night away. This is a rarity as Hiren is always reserved when it comes to dancing. But not that night! I remember him having a huge smile on this face and breaking it down! At the end of the reception DJ Ambition was announcing the last song of the night and everyone on the floor kept chanting "one more, one more". He did not disappoint and played a few more tracks!

Have a magical weekend Maharanis!
