Middleburg, VA Indian Wedding by Marshall Arts Photography

If there’s one thing Middleburg knows how to do well, it’s understated luxury—and Sona & Allan’s Indian wedding embraced that energy flawlessly. Set against rolling hills, manicured gardens, and timeless architecture, their celebration at the iconic Salamander Middleburg felt refined, intentional, and beautifully rooted in tradition, with just the right amount of modern flair to keep things exciting.

Bringing that vision to life was Swoon Soiree Weddings and Events, whose planning and design expertise ensured every moment felt purposeful and personal. Their ability to balance Indian wedding traditions with a clean, sophisticated aesthetic made the celebration feel both timeless and fresh. The décor, crafted by Sophie Felts Floral Co., was nothing short of breathtaking. Soft, romantic florals layered with refined textures framed the mandap and reception spaces, creating an atmosphere that felt organic, romantic, and perfectly suited to the Virginia countryside.

Sona was a vision of modern Maharani elegance. Her bridal looks featured a curated mix of couture from NDNY US, Ave India Design NY, Nazranaa NJ, Seema Gujral Design, and Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika—each ensemble reflecting a different side of her personal style. From regal ceremony looks to playful, fashion-forward moments, her wardrobe told a story of confidence, individuality, and impeccable taste. Completing the look was flawless hair and makeup by Malia's Make Up Artistry, who delivered a polished glow that photographed beautifully from every angle.

The celebration came alive once the music started, thanks to Desibeatzs Entertainment, a Platinum Guide favorite that knows exactly how to read a room and keep it buzzing. Between packed dance floors, energetic baraat moments, and a lively photo booth experience, the energy never dipped. Choreographed Bollywood performances and interactive moments by Spinning Canvas added an extra layer of entertainment that had guests fully engaged—and occasionally attempting moves they definitely didn’t rehearse.

Lighting by Lighting and Sound Co. transformed the evening as the sun set, creating a warm, romantic glow that elevated the reception atmosphere. Thoughtfully curated rentals from Curated Events DC., Social Supply Design, and SM Thing Vintage, paired with luxe linens by Nuage Designs Inc., completed the look with layers of texture and sophistication.

Every unforgettable moment—from quiet, emotional exchanges to full-on celebration—was beautifully captured by Marshall Arts Photography, whose storytelling lens preserved not just how the day looked, but how it felt. Their imagery allows Sona and Allan to relive the laughter, the emotion, and the magic of the day for years to come.

Sona & Allan’s Middleburg wedding was proof that Indian celebrations can be both grand and grounded, luxurious yet deeply personal. It was a celebration where tradition met elegance, where every detail had intention, and where love was the undeniable centerpiece of it all.

Costa Mujeres, MX Indian Wedding by Gareth Davies Photography

If destination weddings had a personality, Kinjal & Kushal's wedding in Costa Mujeres, Mexico would be that effortlessly cool couple who somehow look flawless in every photo and still make everyone feel like family. Set against the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean, this celebration was equal parts tropical escape, cultural richness, and joyful extravagance—topped off with a hashtag that deserves its own standing ovation: #KinjonthatgoodKush.

From the very first event, it was clear this wedding was designed to impress while keeping the vibe fun and heartfelt. Planet Hollywood Cancun served as the backdrop for every major moment—from the high-energy sangeet to the deeply meaningful ceremony and a reception that felt like a full-blown celebration of love, laughter, and late-night dancing. The resort’s ability to host multi-day Indian weddings seamlessly is exactly why it continues to shine as a destination favorite, delivering everything from scenic venues to polished catering with ease.

Behind the scenes, JC Castillo led planning and design with a steady hand and a creative eye, ensuring that every event flowed beautifully while still allowing the couple’s personalities to shine. Complementing that vision, Zuñiga Deco Cancún layered the celebration with lush florals and thoughtful décor that felt vibrant, romantic, and perfectly suited to a beachfront Indian wedding. Every space felt intentional—elevated without being overdone.

Kinjal was an absolute vision in bridal fashion by Rasaya World, bringing timeless elegance with a modern edge that photographed like a dream. Her look was completed by the talented Sara Tamargo, whose hair and makeup artistry kept Kinjal glowing from the first ritual to the final dance. Kushal matched the moment in groom’s fashion by Kora by NM, proving that classic style and destination flair can coexist beautifully.

One of the true unsung heroes of any destination wedding is logistics—and Indian Destination Weddings, Inc., a Platinum Guide member, delivered flawlessly as the travel concierge. From coordinating guest travel to ensuring everyone arrived relaxed and ready to celebrate, their expertise made the destination experience seamless for guests and stress-free for the couple. This is exactly why they’re trusted leaders in the destination wedding world.

Entertainment took center stage thanks to MVP DJs, who kept the energy high and the dance floor packed, while Ronak Amin Studio captured the celebration on film with cinematic storytelling that brought every emotion to life. Mehndi moments were beautifully handled by Rang Henna for the bride and Loto Mehndi for guests, adding intricate artistry and cultural depth to the festivities. And when it came to cuisine, Planet Hollywood Cancun and Patravali delivered a flavorful experience that blended destination luxury with beloved Indian flavors—because no great Indian wedding is complete without unforgettable food.

Documenting it all was Gareth Davies Photography, whose storytelling approach captured every laugh, tear, and celebratory moment with warmth and artistry. His images don’t just show what the wedding looked like—they let you feel it, from quiet, emotional glances to full-on dance floor joy.

Kinjal & Kushal’s wedding was a reminder that destination Indian weddings can be luxurious, meaningful, and incredibly fun—all at once. It was a celebration rooted in tradition, elevated by design, and fueled by pure joy.

Voorhees, NJ Fusion Wedding by WSS Weddings

Urja & Alexander’s wedding was the perfect reminder that when two worlds collide, the result can be nothing short of spectacular. Their multicultural celebration was a whirlwind of vibrant colors, emotional moments, and dance moves so fierce they could power an entire baraat. This wasn’t just a wedding—it was a production that celebrated love, family, and the joy of blending traditions in style.

The festivities began with a sangeet at The Palombaro Club, where guests kicked off the weekend with laughter, choreography, and that signature pre-wedding energy that says, “We’ve officially entered the no-sleep zone.” The décor was a sensory delight thanks to RnR Wedding & Events and Saga Events, who transformed the space into a floral wonderland. From cascading marigold garlands to twinkling fairy lights that danced across the room, every corner felt dipped in celebration.

When it came time for the main event, The Mansion on Main Street became a palace of love. The elegant architecture and manicured grounds provided a regal backdrop for Urja & Alexander’s ceremony and reception, creating the setting every couple dreams about. The ceremony was heartfelt and timeless, guided beautifully by Dapper Pandit, who infused warmth and humor in equal measure—proving that spiritual moments can still come with a side of personality.

Urja, who took on the role of planner and designer herself, brought her creative vision to life in the most stunning way. Her bridal looks were nothing short of show-stopping, featuring dazzling ensembles from Walk in Style and Rudra Boutique, paired with exquisite jewelry by the same store and Maa Shakti Boutique. It was the perfect balance of tradition and trend, with every outfit making its own fashion statement. The glam squad had their work cut out for them, and they absolutely delivered. Glam Studio by Sanjida, Makeup by Marium Emrul, and Anthiroxxhair collaborated to create flawless, camera-ready looks that highlighted Urja’s radiant joy and natural beauty. And speaking of artistry, Alfaaz Henna adorned her hands with intricate mehndi designs that were so mesmerizing.

The reception, catered by Moghul Caterers and Colonial Market, was a feast that delighted every palate. The evening’s sweetness was topped (literally) by Sunflour Bakery, whose confections were as gorgeous as they were delicious. Bringing the beats, lights, and pure energy to every moment was Vibe District (formerly Kurani Studios), renowned for transforming celebrations into experiences. From electrifying DJ sets to live music, dazzling lighting, and even a fun-filled photo booth, their team made sure not a single guest left without a dance, a laugh, or a selfie to remember. Their rebrand may have brought a new name, but their signature magic—the ability to turn any wedding into a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle—remains unmistakably theirs.

Every smile, tear, and twirl was immortalized by WSS Weddings, whose photography and cinematography turned fleeting emotions into timeless memories. Their artistry brought Urja & Alexander’s love story to life through breathtaking imagery, each frame brimming with emotion, elegance, and that indescribable spark that defines Maharani moments.

From the grand entrances to the final sparkler send-off, Urja & Alexander’s wedding was more than an event; it was an experience drenched in love, laughter, and a touch of glamour that only true maharanis (and maharajas) can pull off.

Puerto Vallarta, MX Indian Wedding by Jagat Studio

Serena & Harsh’s wedding was the kind of celebration that makes you want to pack a suitcase, grab a dhol, and crash the party. The couple transformed the lush coastline of Mexico into a South Asian wedding wonderland, and let’s say, every guest left with sun-kissed skin, sore feet from dancing, and enough memories to last a lifetime.

The festivities began at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa, a true gem that set the stage for every moment of their magical weekend. This Platinum Guide venue is no stranger to grandeur, but for Serena & Harsh, it pulled out all the stops. From the sangeet that lit up the night with laughter and choreography worthy of a Netflix special, to a seaside ceremony where the mandap framed the Pacific like a living postcard, to a reception that shimmered under flawless lighting, they delivered at every turn.

No South Asian wedding ever “comes together,” and that’s where the dream team of vendors worked their magic. Nirali Shah Events was the maestro behind the planning and design, orchestrating a flow so seamless you’d think she had a magic wand tucked into her planner. From stationery to event design, her touch was everywhere, polished, purposeful, and impossibly chic. For blooms, Ale Magaña – Art & Flowers spun romance into reality, with arrangements that looked like they were plucked straight out of a fairytale.

The glam squad knew how to make an entrance, too. Ilume Artistry Co gave Serena her bridal glow, handled every draping and styling detail with grace, and left guests whispering, “Is it possible to look this flawless for three days straight?” On the mehndi side, Loto Mehndi brought intricate designs that guests admired almost as much as the bride’s jewelry by Sokora Jewels—pieces that gleamed like heirlooms yet felt refreshingly modern. Serena’s bridal fashion, courtesy of Seema Gujaral via Panache by Sharmeen, was a showstopper in every sense of the word.

Food and music are the heartbeat of any desi wedding, and this celebration had both in overdrive. Daawat Catering brought a menu that was a love letter to every guest’s taste buds. Meanwhile, DJ Jusi kept the beats pumping while Drums in Paradise set the baraat on fire—figuratively, of course, but the energy was as electric as it gets. By the time the dance floor opened, even the shyest uncle was channeling his inner Bollywood star.

And let’s not forget the groomsmen, suited to perfection in Gariani Menswear tuxedos, or the guests striking hilarious poses in Golden Photo Booth MX, ensuring that the memories were equal parts glamorous and goofy. For the behind-the-scenes artistry, Jagat Studios, another Platinum Guide powerhouse, captured every tear, twirl, and toast with the kind of detail that turns a wedding album into a cinematic treasure. Their photography and cinematography painted Serena and Harsh’s love story against the golden glow of Puerto Vallarta, and trust us—it’s one for the books.

Travel logistics? Handled. With Diana Germán Macedo as the travel concierge, guests arrived and departed without a single “lost luggage” horror story. Instead, they focused on cocktails by the pool and prepping for the next event on the calendar. This celebration was a masterpiece of culture, luxury, and unfiltered fun.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Harsh proposed on Sunset Beach in Dubai in December 2023! He told me we were just going to watch the sunset, but he secretly had a photographer waiting to capture the moment. When he got down on one knee with the Dubai skyline behind us and the sun setting over the water, it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. We even did a little photoshoot afterward, and if you know me, you know I’m a total sucker for sunsets, so it was everything I could’ve dreamed of.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I actually had so much fun planning my wedding! I had a clear vision for each event, which made the entire process feel organized and intentional. I didn’t want anything to feel too minimal or overly extravagant, and in the end, we had the perfect balance between decor and entertainment across every celebration.

I worked with Nirali Shah Events, and they were with me every step of the way throughout the year-long planning process. While wedding planning can definitely get stressful, Nirali always had an answer for everything and seamlessly coordinated all our vendors. Thanks to her and her team, everything came together even better than I imagined.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I worked with Panache by Sharmeen in Houston, Texas, and Sharmeen’s collection of bridal lehengas and event outfits is absolutely stunning. I ordered each one of my outfits from her. I originally thought I wanted something in pastel tones, but when I tried on an ivory Seema Gujral lehenga, I instantly fell in love. My mom had her heart set on pink or red, so we found the perfect balance: the ceremony decor was done entirely in shades of white, ivory, peach, pink and red, and our close family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen all wore pink to tie it together beautifully.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Working with Nirali Shah Events was truly the highlight of our entire planning process! Nirali and her team are one of a kind. They redefine what luxury means. I trusted her completely at every stage, even when it came to selecting our vendors, and that trust paid off in every possible way. Thanks to her meticulous attention to detail, every aspect of our wedding came together seamlessly, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy each event!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the aisle and seeing the sun shining on the mandap, with my parents right across from me, is a moment I’ll never forget. It looked and felt absolutely ethereal. And of course… the first look with my husband!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our welcome party, we wanted a desert tropical vibe, relaxed yet vibrant, with everyone dressed in tropical chic to kick off our beachside wedding weekend. Harsh and I played the shoe game with both families hollering who they thought we would pick for each question. It was a great way to break the ice with everyone! By the end of the night, it turned into a full-on dance party, with everyone so excited to celebrate together.

Our Haldi was set against such breathtaking views that the scenery itself became the main decor. We just added a touch of charm with roses and beautiful pom seating to complete the setting. My family eventually tore off Harsh's shirt as tradition with "Turn the TV Off" by Kendrick playing in the background, specifically the "Mustard" part of the song. It was a hilarious touch by our DJ, DJ Jusi.

Our Sangeet was bright, colorful, and full of energy, complete with disco balls, a decorated shot wall with a custom sign stating "Masti and Mojitos", a checker board, pink and white dance floor, and a beautifully decorated head table. It was my favorite event of all, from the family performances to the garba that everyone ended up participating in and dance party, every moment flowed perfectly.

For our reception, we shifted the mood completely. With bold red and black accents, it was dramatic and refined. It was truly a stunning contrast to the vibrant, colorful events that came before. The change surprised everyone in the best way. We also had sparklers added during our entrance and our first dance, and that made the pictures pop!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
If you’re debating whether to hire a day-of team, do it! You want to soak in every moment of your wedding, not worry about logistics. Having people you trust to flawlessly execute your vision is the best gift you can give yourself.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I seriously can't give more props to our team of vendors. We were blessed with the best team of vendors!

Bridgewater, NJ Indian Wedding by WSS Weddings

Some weddings feel like a perfect duet; Bhoomi & Charan’s was a full-on symphony—Gujarati roots, South Indian grace, and a crowd that stayed on beat from “welcome” to “we did it.” The Bridgewater Marriott—yes, a trusted Maharani Weddings Platinum Guide venue—showed exactly why it’s a favorite for multi-event celebrations: airy foyers perfect for baraat staging, a ballroom that flips from sacred mandap to high-glam dance floor in record time, guest rooms an elevator ride away for lightning-fast outfit changes, and a banquet team that runs like a backstage crew on opening night.

At the podium, Events By Srishti conducted it all with white-glove precision and designer instinct, weaving cultural protocols into a minute-by-minute run of show, smoothing every transition, and layering thoughtful hospitality touches (hello, intuitive signage and seamless seating) so 200+ guests felt like VIPs. Effortless to attend, spectacular to watch—just the way a wedding should be. Tradition and Trends wrapped the setting in lush florals and sculptural décor so each scene looked as good in person as it does in the album (and yes, you’ll want an album).

If you’re wondering why the photos look like movie stills, meet WSS Weddings. Their team captured the emotional crescendos and the quiet exhale that followed—the tender glances, the shared laughter, the ceremonial details that cross generations. It’s cinematic storytelling with documentary heart, the kind that makes you feel like you were in the front row even if you were running in from valet.Glamorous Vibes kept Bhoomi’s beauty camera-ready from first look to final hug—think luminous skin, defined eyes, and hair that stayed elegant through every greeting line. Henna By Tejal etched an intricate love note on her hands, and BenBaa’s bridal fashion brought regal structure with modern sparkle that played beautifully against the décor.

Then the percussion section arrived. Platinum Roadshow handled baraat and reception like pros—sound that hugged the room, transitions that never broke the mood, and a playlist that convinced even the “I don’t dance” uncles to reconsider. Moghul Caterers served a feast that had guests plotting seconds before dessert, while Mr. Paanwala’s station became the late-night love language of the dance floor. Rentals by Felix rounded out the production so every vignette—entrance, stage, lounges—felt intentional and photo-ready.

What lingers is the harmony: two cultures, one promise, and a vendor team that knew exactly how to honor both with style and joy. Dive into this feature and enjoy!
