Huntington Beach, CA Indian Wedding by Balerina Films

When you picture a dream wedding, do you imagine golden California sunshine, oceanfront vows, and a bride in velvet red lehenga royalty? Well, Shivani & Dhruv didn’t just imagine it—they delivered it. This Huntington Beach wedding at the iconic Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa was the celebration that made even the seagulls pause in awe. Yes, really.

From the moment guests stepped onto the perfectly manicured lawns of the resort—met with ocean breezes, champagne smiles, and marigold-drenched mandaps—they knew they were in for something spectacular. The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach deserves a standing ovation for offering the perfect blend of breezy luxury and spacious elegance. With endless ocean views and venues transitioning from serene ceremony to show-stopping reception, it’s no wonder Shivani & Dhruv chose it as the setting for their forever.

Where do we begin? Was it the floral fantasy by Kismet, where cascading blooms made the mandap look like a scene straight out of a romantic daydream? Was it 3D Sounds DJ Nitro setting the baraat beachside on fire (not literally, don’t worry) with dhol beats that made you want to dance barefoot in the sand? Or maybe Balerina Films captured every candid, twirl, tear, and tender glance in cinematographic perfection. (Seriously, someone gets these frames into Vogue Weddings.)

Let’s talk fashion. Shivani turned heads and stopped hearts in a breathtaking red velvet bridal lehenga that channeled regal goddess energy. We’re talking intricate gold embroidery, layers of jewel-toned elegance, and enough sparkle to power the chandeliers at their reception. Dhruv matched her royal glow in an ivory sherwani embroidered with a precision fit for a maharaja. When these two stood side-by-side, you knew you were witnessing something from a Bollywood period drama—except this love story is real.

Shilpa Patel Events was behind this masterpiece of matrimony and orchestrated every detail with style and precision. From timeline coordination to transforming spaces, Shilpa’s team ensured everything from mehndi to marriage went off gracefully (and with zero stress). Dolled Up by Lulu made sure Shivani looked effortlessly flawless through every outfit change and emotional moment—because, let’s be honest, good makeup artists are basically superheroes. If your Pinterest board just caught fire, don’t worry—you’re not alone. Shivani and Dhruv’s wedding was everything we adore: heartfelt, stylish, meaningful, and full of laughter.

Aventura, FL Indian Wedding by Joshua Kane Photography

If you've ever wondered what happens when old-world tradition meets modern luxury before the sun even rises, allow us to introduce Divya & Sasikant's jaw-dropping wedding in the heart of Miami. This radiant couple didn't just tie the knot—they rewrote the rulebook with a 2 AM ceremony (yes, you read that right), a sea of gold and red silk, and enough sparkle to make even the chandeliers blink twice.

Divya, the epitome of bridal grace, looked like a goddess straight out of a temple fresco—wrapped in a stunning red silk saree adorned with traditional gold zari work: her radiant smile and regal poise made every frame by Joshua Kane Photography an editorial-worthy masterpiece. Sasikant, dashing in an ivory sherwani with classic embroidery, mirrored elegance with just the right amount of groom swagger. Their wedding seamlessly blended tradition and luxury, with two completely different style vibes for their ceremony and reception. In the morning, the couple was immersed in rich reds and golds, while the evening was swept in soft blush and ivory glam, a literal day-to-night transformation worthy of a Vogue spread.

If you're still Pinterest-ing venues, go ahead and make a new board labeled "Divya & Sasikant Goals."The JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa provided a canvas of elegance and versatility—from the serene, sun-dappled gardens to the ballroom that turned into a glimmering fairytale. Whether it was the early-morning rituals or the high-energy reception, the venue offered a setting so stunning, guests may or may not have forgotten to check their phones (a miracle in itself).

Here's a fact: a good DJ keeps the dance floor full. A great DJ? They ignite it. DJ Pavan Events brought the house down with an epic soundtrack that had aunties, uncles, and millennials throwing down side by side. With a seamless blend of classics, high-energy remixes, and feel-good favorites, Pavan took the celebration to another dimension. If music is the soul of a wedding, this one had a platinum-plated one.

The décor by Suhaag Garden transformed each space into a sensory dream—mandap shimmered in mirrored detail, while blush-toned florals created a delicate, ethereal vibe that balanced tradition and trend. The aroma of decadent cuisine by Fifth Element lingered lovingly through the event. Trust us, their menu deserves a standing ovation. No wedding is complete without that first "wow" moment—and for guests, that was the invitation. Betel Leaf Co created the invitation suite as a luxurious nod to culture, featuring marigold tones, traditional motifs, and just enough gold to make your mailbox blush. Beyond the glamour, what made this wedding truly unforgettable was how deeply personal it felt.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
It was a beautiful New York evening, the Manhattan skyline twinkling by the Hudson River, I felt a warmth that seemed to settle in right away. There was something gentle and genuine about our encounter, like we had stumbled upon a quiet understanding. Our conversation flowed easily, weaving together stories of our favorite city spots, food, family and life’s aspirations. It was more like two friends hanging out together, and catching up on all the recent life adventures. I just remember laughing a lot. He had a great sense of humor, the kind that was so comforting and exhilarating. In that moment, I knew I wanted to explore more of life with this person by my side.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our wedding was a traditional South Indian Brahmin wedding. From the day we decided to tie the knot, we sat down with our parents and learnt about all the rituals and their significance. Several FaceTime calls later, we came up with a date! We started looking for venues in Miami. JW Marriott Turnberry is a beautiful resort, and it was a perfect blend of contemporary and classic architecture. Design and decor were very important to us, we put in a lot of thought into what captures our essence and culture, but also to keep it very modern and romantic. All the colors and aesthetics really complemented our outfits and fit the overall regal-romantic theme very well. All the time we spent with our families to understand the customs, we shared those insights with our guest on the ritual cards, so they could also follow what was happening and the relevance of it, In a way our guest could be a part of it and share those sentiments with us in that moment. We went to several tastings for food, we wanted to serve a wide spread of food, that everyone could enjoy. We curated the menu in a way that it would have some south indian dishes on the menu, some north indian and a few fusion food items.

The ceremony was in the early morning, before the sunrise, and yet so much energy, high spirits, contagious smiles and joy all around, and of course lots of coffee & snacks. We both were dressed in tradtional silk outfits. As I bride, I was adorned in temple Jewelry and some heirloom jewelry that has been in the family for over four decades. I had a long braid that was coiled with strings of jasmine flowers under the gold veil that was draped over the head, which completed the bridal look. The smell of jasmine is also a core memory now, and it somehow takes me back to our wedding day! But as the sun was rising, we walked around the holy fire and soon we were officially Mr & Mrs. After a late night wedding the live dosa station and south indian Breakfast catered by @the fifth element was cherry on the cake.

The sangeet- was the evening after our wedding. We wanted it to be an after-wedding event once all the serious stuff was done, we wanted a more fun, relaxed time with our guests, to enjoy music, food, and dancing. We chose our outfits accordingly, so we could really dance our hearts out. I wore an Archana Shah lehenga that was bright, beautiful, and easy to carry. We had a unique mix of Hindi, English, and Telugu music, and had a great time celebrating our love. Every dance performance was so unique and had a personal story behind it, which made the night even more special. Our hearts were exploding with all the love and joy.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
As a traditional South Indian bride, I knew I would wear a Kanchipuram saree. The madhuparkam- essentially a white saree with Red border, I knew I wanted to do something different for both of us. I picked an ivory gold and lavender silk saree from Gowri Signatures. As for the first bridal saree, I had a red saree in mind. To make it different from the madhuparkam, I opted for a red meenakari saree from a local weaver in Hyderabad with floral patterns and birds on it.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning was learning about all the rituals and understanding their significance, what they meant to us and our families. And being a designer myself, I truly enjoyed designing every little detail of our wedding with Betel leaf Co.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our wedding was a small, intimate family affair. We had our families and both of our closest friends attend our events. It was filled with so much joy and everybody coming together from all over made it a lot of fun. Everybody enjoyed the decor and food that reflected our true Hyderabad essence. Our venue was JW Marriott Turnberry, and the ballroom was reimagined as a beautiful, palace-like, intricate mirror work structure with blush flowers, chandeliers, and candles. It was a perfect blend of Modern and traditional design. We worked closely with @Suhaag Garden.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I think a moment that is etched prominently in my memory is the "Panigrahanam" ritual from our wedding ceremony. The anticipation on either side of the curtain around the time of Panigrahanam and Jeelakara Bellam unfolds like a timeless poem for us. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, but the moment Sasikant's hands clasped mine from the other side, it was our first day of forever. Everyone and all the chaos around us faded away, as we looked at each other and promised to love, respect, and laugh a little bit more each day!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
I always wondered why weddings are so emotional….As a bride, you are standing at the cusp of the past and the future. So you pivot. It’s like a beautiful tapestry of love and heritage. It is natural to get overwhelmed, and get hung up on some small details, customs or missing the most important person in your life. What's important is to ask for help, delegate, or simply take a break from the planning and go on a nice date and enjoy.

It was clear this wasn’t just a celebration, it was a love letter to their families, and to each other.

Riviera Maya, MX Fusion Wedding by Saptapadi Studio

Raina & Sebin's wedding was a masterclass in blending heritage with contemporary style. Set at the breathtaking El Dorado Royale, the venue provided the perfect canvas for their love story. Every detail was carefully curated from their jaw-dropping outfits to the dazzling decor. Raina stunned in a bridal ensemble that exuded grace and modern sophistication, while Sebin matched her energy with an equally regal look—because what's a king without his queen?

The couple's chemistry radiated in every frame, and we have to hand it to Saptapadi Weddings for capturing it all with cinematic brilliance. The artistry behind every shot made us feel like we were flipping through the pages of Vogue. Whether it was an intimate glance exchanged during the ceremony or the electrifying dance floor energy, their photography and cinematography team ensured every emotion was immortalized.

Sebin stands with anticipation, adjusting his embroidered sherwani, heart pounding. As Raina approaches, dressed in sheer perfection, he turns around—and boom, the world stops. A few happy tears (and a lot of "awws" from the bridesmaids) later, the couple shares a moment that reminds us why first looks are a must-have! When Desi DJ's Riviera Maya took over, the reception turned into the ultimate dance party! From classic Bollywood beats to chart-topping hits, the night was a blur of twirls, lifts, and some impressively choreographed performances. Oh, and let's talk about that Vogue-style photo booth—because if your wedding doesn't have a paparazzi moment, did it even happen?

From the lavish floral arrangements by Essenza Riviera to the flawless coordination by Beloved Planners, every vendor played a key role in making this wedding a masterpiece. And let's not forget Shaadi Destinations, who made the entire travel experience seamless for guests flying in from NY and FL!

Before the grand festivities began, Raina's mehndi ceremony was a vibrant prelude to the celebrations. With intricate henna designs by Loto Mehndi, her hands and arms were adorned with breathtaking patterns that told a story of love and new beginnings. Alex Corbanezi worked his magic with hair and makeup, ensuring Raina looked effortlessly radiant, while Jennifer Reyes brought stunning event design elements to life.

Dearborn, MI Indian Wedding by Killer Creations Photography and Films

Some love stories start with a grand romantic gesture, but Megan & Raj’s began with a simple Facebook message—one that would unknowingly change their lives forever. Suggested by mutual friends as a perfect match, their instant connection sparked a love story that led to a stunning, joy-filled wedding in Dearborn.

From the moment guests stepped into The Henry Hotel, they were transported into a world of elegance, tradition, and a touch of Bollywood magic. Marigold Wedding Planners outdid themselves, crafting a breathtaking ambiance filled with soft golden hues, regal floral arrangements, and intricate décor that made the entire setting look like a scene from a royal Indian wedding.

No South Asian wedding is complete without a stunning mehndi design, and Radhe Henna delivered intricate, story-telling artwork on Megan’s hands that was nothing short of mesmerizing. The celebrations began with an intimate Haldi, followed by a high-energy Mehndi night filled with games, fireworks, and a grand welcome banner for Raj’s family (because this wedding was all about the details!). Let’s talk about Megan’s glam! Thanks to the dream team of Amanie Mokdad and Hair By Rochelle J, she looked effortlessly radiant from the first event to the last. It was all about that perfect blend of tradition and modern bridal beauty.

Speaking of firsts, Megan & Raj’s First Look was one for the books. As Megan approached Raj, the anticipation was palpable. With a gentle tap on his shoulder, he turned around, and their jaws dropped in perfect sync. Killer Creations Photography & Cinematography didn’t just capture this moment; they transformed it into a cinematic masterpiece. Their keen eye for emotion, impeccable lighting, and artistic composition turned a magical second into a frame-worthy memory.

For their grand finale, Megan & Raj opted for an elegant reception with gold and white décor, creating an atmosphere of timeless sophistication. The night was filled with heartfelt toasts that had everyone reaching for tissues (both from laughter and happy tears) while DJ Genesis kept the dance floor packed with an epic Bollywood-American fusion mix.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Our story began in 2016 when Raj sent me a Facebook message out of the blue as many mutual friends had suggested to him that we'd be compatible -- it didn't take long for sparks to fly.

From the first date, I felt I could be completely myself around Raj. He inspired me to be my best, and we discovered a deep compatibility, tackling everything from the mundane to the momentous with ease. Most importantly, Raj immediately appreciated and reciprocated my off-beat wit and playful sarcasm – a clear tell to me that he was "the one".

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
During the Holidays in our sixth year, I came home planning to attend Raj's company Christmas party...or so I thought!

Raj took me to the same spot where we had our first Valentine's day, and decorated the hall with the help of our family and friends. When we first walked in, I thought we were intruding on someone else's proposal -- little did I know!

With our favorite song playing in the background, Raj got down on one knee to propose to my surprise -- Afterwards, we had an unforgettable night celebrating with our close family and friends!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
When we began planning our wedding, our top priority was creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests while still bringing our dream wedding to life. Knowing how overwhelming wedding planning can be, we took it one step at a time, breaking down the process into manageable pieces. Things fell into place beautifully from there.

We started with the venue and were lucky enough to find one that perfectly balanced our needs with the elegant atmosphere we envisioned. Next, we hired a wedding planner whose expert guidance proved invaluable. She connected us with a fantastic team of vendors, including a hair and makeup artist, caterer, DJ, photographer/videographer, and of course, a talented decor specialist.

Choosing my bridal outfit in Toronto with my family was a truly emotional moment. It was then that it really hit me – this was actually happening!

For the decor, I had always envisioned a simple yet elegant, almost regal, theme. My planner perfectly captured this vision and offered wonderful recommendations to bring it to fruition.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
At first, I envisioned a traditional maroon velvet lehenga for my wedding. However, when I found my ultimate outfit, all my preconceived notions vanished. Even though it was different from what I had imagined, it felt absolutely perfect. Wearing it, I felt like royalty -- In that moment, I knew my bridal outfit was decided.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of planning our wedding was the way it brought our families together. It truly takes a village to pull off a wedding, and we all had the same goal. Working together, we were challenged to have meaningful and honest conversations, which helped break down barriers and formalities, ultimately uniting us as one family.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Since our wedding, we've been so touched by the feedback from our guests. They especially loved the vibrant and warm atmosphere at every event, from the Mehndi to the Reception. We made it a point to keep the energy high and smiles on our faces, hoping that positive vibes were contagious and that our guests felt it, too.

We've also received rave reviews about the food. Even though we primarily served Indian dishes throughout our various events, our caterer did an incredible job of adding unique touches to each meal, keeping everything fresh and exciting!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The special moment that replays in my mind is the First Look before our wedding. After getting ready for the ceremony, our photographer escorted me into into a private area where Raj was standing with his back turned -- from there, I tapped Raj on his shoulder, and with his back to me he slowly turned around and we had the same exact reaction, of pure excitement and jaws dropped --this has easily become my favorite picture from the wedding.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our wedding celebrations began with an intimate Haldi ceremony with close family and friends. This was followed by a vibrant and eventful Mehndi party at my family's home, officially kicking off the wedding weekend. Raj and I had a joint Mehndi, a wonderful opportunity to welcome our families and informally introduce them to each other. We played games to engage all our guests and exchanged gifts. My parents worked tirelessly to transform our home into the perfect event space, adorning it with colorful, fresh flowers to welcome everyone. We also had fireworks and a large welcome banner for Raj's family.

The Sangeet was all about vibrant color and high energy, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere. we even incorporated custom-made Bollywood posters, replacing the actors with our our faces, like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai." We had live food stations serving Indian street food, and a jam-packed program filled with dances from our loved ones, including a surprise performance from Raj and me.

For our reception, we chose a more sophisticated theme using neutral colors like gold and white. Heartfelt toasts from our best friends and moving speeches from our parents brought both tears of joy and laughter to our eyes. Finally, our DJ took over, and with an incredible Bollywood-American fusion mix, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
While wedding planning can be challenging and demanding, it's important to take it one step at a time. This is a unique opportunity to create a truly special event, bringing together all the most important people in your lives. Prioritize what YOU want out of the experience and try to enjoy the process.

It's also essential to find a team that shares your vision and values. I was fortunate to have a strong support system to step in when needed and vendors who expertly guided me through navigated uncharted waters.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Early in the planning process, I sometimes questioned the value of hiring a wedding planner. Now, having gone through the experience, I can confidently say it's absolutely worth it. Especially when you're overwhelmed with the details, like timelines and itineraries, or even need expert advice on things like hair and makeup (which, as a first-time bride, I definitely did!), a good planner is invaluable.

Their path led to a breathtaking wedding celebration where every detail reflected their unique story.
