When Punarvi Patel, creative director of PUNARVI, and Arjit Mehta, a strategic consultant, first met they had no idea their fate was in the hands of a flat, round piece of dough topped with marinara and melted cheese (that’s right, pizza!). Not only did they share common interests, but they also shared the same true love - Lucali’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn. This is where the #AMtoPM (Arjit Mehta to Punarvi Mehta, get it?) story began. Maharani Punarvi's wedding to Arjit took place in the historic town of Natchez, Mississippi. And in fact, it was more than just a wedding - they celebrated with a three day fete showering their guests with southern hospitality and taking them back to the whimsical times of the Mughal era. "It was a no-brainer that the charm and uniqueness of Natchez made it the perfect location for our wedding," says Punarvi. The design-minded bride expertly curated every fashionable detail with the aid of an Indian wedding dream team, including planning and design from Urvashi Mishra, Wedding & Event Planner and floral and decor from Decor One by Nalini. Over the course of the multi day affair, the bride and groom hosted a number of pre wedding events such as afternoon tea, a raucous masquerade soirée, and a welcome dinner at King's Tavern, the oldest standing building in Mississippi. You'll want to hurry over to the full gallery of photos by Midnight Chai Photography to witness the creativity that went into pulling off this Bollywood Royalty meets Southern Charm soiree. We’re drooling over each and every major fashion moment designed by Punarvi! Let’s take a breather, and when we return we’ll dive right into Punarvi and Arjit’s delightful ceremony deets.
