The stunning couple, Sonia and Ashish, were married in chic, big city style, and we think you'll love reliving their special day! We absolutely love unique, creative weddings, and this one definitely was! The festivities were planned to perfection by Preeti Exclusive Event Planning with floral and decor by Gracious Decor. The ceremony and reception took place on a yacht from Yachts for All Seasons, on a picture perfect NYC day. Maharani Sonia was a vision in her dreamy petal pink and sunshine yellow lehenga and princess-esque hair and makeup by Ridhima. The joy on this darling couple's face during their ceremony is a joy to witness - It is obvious how much they love each other! The ceremony was full of emotional moments, and we wish this couple so much happiness as they embark on this new journey together! New Yorkers Sonia & Ashish had their special day in big city style. With the mehndi taking place in Sonia's NYC apartment and welcome dinner/bridal shower hosted at Beauty & Essex (a hip restaurant hidden behind a pawn shop), you knew the wedding was going to have just as much city style.
The wedding day was beautiful, with not a cloud in the sky. Guests boarded the yacht and witnessed a sweet and simple ceremony with Sonia's dad's picture and Ashish's mom's picture lovingly next to them in spirit.
After the ceremony, the boat set sail on the Hudson River for cocktail hour and the reception dinner. While guests enjoyed the beautiful views, they listened to emotional and loving speeches, feasted on Bukhara food and toasted with delicious cocktails. Right before the dance floor opened up, the guests were able to take pictures outside as the yacht sailed past the Statue of Liberty. The dance floor was on all night. In fact, after the yacht docked and the reception came to an end, guests stayed on the boat for another hour.
