From the bride, on the wedding style:

"For the wedding day I initially started out with the stage layout I wanted. Once I found that I had the input of the design production team at Design House Decor. They suggested many different color combinations, in the end we went with pink, white, gold hues. The flower arrangements were beautiful ranging from tall to small on different tables allowing variation. Since Sameer is a Texas Longhorn fan I definitely wanted to incorporate some burnt orange (longhorn team color) in the mehndi decor to personalize it. I went with a Moroccan theme with beautiful lanterns and pillows alining the dance floor. Design House Decor once again exceeding my expectations!"

On what she enjoyed most about planning:

"I had a red binder which I called the "Ultimate Wedding Binder". It had all my thoughts and ideas written down from my dream cake to the wedding stage. After months and months of piling all these thoughts and endless "to do lists", to actually see the end product was the most enjoyable. I was taken back at how perfect it all turned out. It definitely surpassed my expectations. Seeing my friends and family all together on this special day is something I won't ever forget."

On the venue:

"Oheka Castle was the venue of my dreams. They were so accommodating and made the wedding day itself a breeze. Everything was set up perfectly and the staff was so organized. Since the weather was beautiful they suggested to have cocktail hour outside as well, something we did not even think of! The cake was made by the pastry chef from Oheka. The alternating layers of chocolate ganache and pistachio were unique."

On a special moment:

"Obviously with having the wedding of our dreams, there are many special moments that stand out. One that particularly does was the photo shoot prior to the wedding reception. Our photographers had us each cover our eyes and brought us to the same room. At their count, they let us see each other in full wedding attire for the first time. I can't describe how special the feeling was."

On special details:

"My family definitely helped out a lot. My mother ran around as crazy as I did as the wedding approached. The best was when my nephew's came out as the ring bearers. My friends and younger brother did a combined dance which was amazing, they ended up pulling Sameer and I to the dance floor at the end which ended up getting the party started."

See ya next time ladies!
