Every detail was so lovely, and if you are wondering who was responsible for the marvelous decoration that enhanced the beauty of this spectacular venue, it was none other than the talented team from Square Root Designs! They delivered nothing but utter perfection, and we loved it to the fullest! Divya, our gorgeous Maharani, stole everyone's attention with a marvelous look. She made the right call by choosing Dolled up by Lulu to take care of all of her beauty needs. The night turned into an epic party, and everyone enjoyed the reception, dancing at the phenomenal beats played by Special Occasions DJ & Lighting, who created a festive environment. Nik planned a surprise trip to the Bahamas! I didn't know where we were going until we got to the gate at the Airport! All I knew was the climate of the location we were going to. Nik rented out a private cabana at The Cove Atlantis. Outside the cabana, there were candles in the sand that said: "Div, Will you Marry me?". There was also a private chef and a saxophonist! A truly special and romantic night.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
From our family to our vendors, we were lucky to have an all-star team making #DivNik a reality. Each vendor brought their specialized expertise and helped create a truly unique and unbelievable experience.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted a very modern bridal lengha. Red is one of my favorite colors to wear. I fell in love with Sabyasachi's designs.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Traditionally, many Indian weddings have between 500 and 1000 people attend. For us, it was important to have a close, intimate experience with our guests. In total we had 200 people attend our event. Almost every person knew each other at the wedding. This close vibe really made the weekend special.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our first dance will be in our memory forever. We danced to "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis. We practiced ballroom dancing for weeks! The dance was absolutely perfect. It felt as if it was just us two in the ballroom dancing. At that moment, we were married, done with wedding planning, and ready to enjoy our next chapter!
