How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
My husband and I met through mutual friends who decided to play match maker and encouraged us to go on a date with each other. We instantly clicked and continued to go on several dates after, but I truly knew he was the one on a korean bbq dinner date. What seemed to be a great time, quickly took a turn when I ended up choking on a piece of duck. My now husband quickly went in to action and performed the heimlich maneuver on me at the restaurant. He saved my life. Literally. :)

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
It was a rainy cold saturday in October and my husband really wanted take me to a ballet at Lincoln Center. It seemed a bit odd to me considering he is the ultimate sports buff but I went along with plans. After the ballet, he lead me to a small park where mini easels were set up on each bench with pictures of our many past dates. It lead up to the fountain right in front of Lincoln Center where he got down on one knee and popped the question.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I knew I wanted a clean timeless look to the wedding from the color scheme (blush pink, gold, white, and black) to the decor. I wanted the color scheme to be a focal point of the entire day from the saris my mom and aunts wore to the dance outfits my bridesmaids wore during the reception. I mainly chose vendors through word of mouth or first hand experience from the past. Responsiveness was very important to me with vendors and it really helped in bringing every detail of what I envisioned to life.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted the color of my lehenga to fit in with the color scheme which is why I chose champagne gold. I wanted it to be monochromatic so that the kundhan and emerald necklace and earrings I chose would stand out. These were purchased from Mumbai (Roopkala).

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Choosing vendors we could ensure our trust in to get the job done and take the weight off our shoulder in order to focus on other things.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
My 3 main goals of the night was to make sure everything ran on time, the food was great, and the entertainment was amazing. My guests loved how everything ran on time (thanks to Eventify event planning and DJ USA) and how the food was nothing but amazing at the Westmount Country Club.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The couple of minutes I got with my husband alone right after we walked out of the church before we re-entered for pictures and greeting our guests. It gave us a chance to soak in the moment and realize we just got married.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I went with an all white sleek look (hydrangeas &orchids) with a white and gold floor wrap because the pink amber lighting at the Westmount would complete the look I was going for.
I wanted to dance to be a sequence of multiple songs with different groups of people most important to us from our parents and extended family to our entire bridal party. It was great to see the entire audience entertained by our performance.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The day will go by in a blink of an eye and every past bride had told me to enjoy every minute as much as I can. And I'm so glad I did.

Have an awesome weekend, darlings!
