It's time to head to the glorious Marriott Hartford Downtown to reveal Pooja and Ameesh's Indian wedding ceremony! Manish and Sung Photography captured stunning photos of every incredible moment, from Maharani Pooja's grand entrance with an impeccable look by A Radiant You by Crystal Razor, to the couple's exit via a carriage from Cedar Knoll Farm! We also loved seeing Abhishek Decorators' fantastic ceremony decor; the candlelit aisle decorations gave the event a romantic, ethereal feeling! Maharani Pooja on choosing the first dance song:
"Ameesh and I danced to the song '10,000 Emerald Pools' by BORNS. Shortly before our wedding, we attended a BORNS concert in New York City with Ameesh's cousins. I wasn't very familiar with the band, but Ameesh had seen the band perform at a music festival earlier that year and was convinced I'd enjoy the concert. The concert was a perfect pre-wedding getaway, and during the performance of 10,000 Emerald Pools, Ameesh and I turned to each other and knew it would be the perfect song for our first dance; romantic, personal, and us."
On her hair and makeup:
"For my hair and makeup for the Wedding and Reception, I worked with Crystal Razor and her team to create the perfect look. For my makeup, we settled on a more natural look for the wedding and a slightly more dramatic look for the reception. For my hair, I let Crystal do her magic and create unique, timeless looks, complete with one-of-a-kind, crystal hairpieces for both the wedding and reception. For my Sangeet and Garba, I used a local stylist, William, and his team from Hairdresser on Fire to create fun, bright, and fresh looks."
On the role her family and friends played:
"Family and friends were responsible for all of the details that made our day special. From making sure Ameesh and I were well-fed and having fun during the day, to ensuring that the other guests were also having a great time, our family and friends (and our wedding planners and their teams, who I also consider friends) went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, period."
