Happy Monday, Maharanis! We're kicking off another week of spectacular shaadis with a stunning South Asian wedding at The Richard Nixon LibraryKayla Vie Events marvelously took care of planning for the occasion, and we can't wait to show you the incredible decor! For now, though, we're taking a look at the dazzling portraits Jim Kennedy Photographers captured! Our Maharani Khatira was gorgeous as can be in a breathtaking white wedding dress, with flawless neutral makeup by Danielle Evans and a magnificent hairdo by Jazzmyne and Maria! Her bridesmaids and groom Ahmad were also super stylish, and we can't get over how cool they all look in every portrait in the full gallery!

Maharani Khatira on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":

"I met him at my brothers house in 2010. He reached out to me on social media and we started to just talk. I told him from day one that I wasn't looking for a relationship, I just wanted to be friends. He was my friend first and then became someone I developed strong feelings for. The man would not take no for an answer. He was always there for me and showed me he wasn't going to go anywhere. I knew he was the one after months and months of just talking and being friends. We talked for 6 months before I gave him a chance to take me out on an actual date. We've been together for 5 years and it honestly gets better every day. I love him more every single day. He still gives me butterflies."

On the romantic proposal:

"We dated for 3 years and he would always tell me he's going to marry me. I told him if he asked I would say no. This man seriously does not take no for an answer. I told him numerous times never to even think of proposing because I didn't want to disappoint him. I was committed and I wanted to share my life with him but I didn't think I needed a ring to prove we were lifetime soul mates. He took me out to a beautiful brunch at the St. Regis in Dana Point and got me a little too buzzed from the mimosas. We took a beautiful walk on the beach and he got down on one knee and proposed. I didn't even have to think about it, I just said yes. Best decision ever!"

On her wedding style:

"We started with the size of the wedding. That was the hardest part of planning the wedding. I didn't want a big wedding and he wanted the whole wide world there. We finally agreed to have a 'small' wedding and picked our venue. We wanted an elegant venue that had class and pure sophistication that would be great around winter time. We finally decided on the Richard Nixon Library and it was perfect! We love white and wanted to keep things clean and add some gold because it went so beautifully with the venue. We picked white and gold but my bridesmaids wore dresses of bold colors. I wanted their dresses to pop and they looked fabulous. I think our style was more classic and elegant."

On her favorite part of wedding planning:

"I enjoyed collaborating with my husband. He was so fantastic and so helpful. We really planned this together and it's something we'll always cherish and remember."

We're off to the wedding when we return!
