Maharani Sejal, on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Mayur:

"Mayur and I met on Match.com. After a few phone calls back and forth, we met for dinner one night in New York City. We had great chemistry and I completely lost track of time in our conversations. After our 2nd/3rd date, I knew there was something very different and special about him compared to other guys and kept wanting to spend more and more time with him. The rest is history."

On Raja Mayur's memorable marriage proposal:

"Mayur and I both like the movie "Aladdin" and I had been bothering him to go to the NYC Aladdin Broadway show for a few months after it premiered. On the day of my residency graduation, he presented me with tickets to the show. One month later, we went to the show which was amazing! After the show ended, we went to Belvedere Castle in Central Park where Mayur proposed to me on our very own "magic carpet" with my ring on a genie lamp. I definitely said yes to starting "a whole new world" with my prince."

On their wedding style:

"For the wedding, we wanted a traditional red, white, beige colored theme. Mayur's name means "peacock" so we ended up adding a peacock flair to our wedding ceremony with a crystal peacock mandap set-up from Rangoli Weddings."

On her most memorable wedding moment:

"The most special moment for me was walking down the aisle to see Mayur for our first look. I was so nervous to see what Mayur's reaction would be when he saw me all dolled up in my wedding outfit. As I was walking, I just remember that time felt like it was standing still and my heart was beating so fast. When I finally saw his smiling face, I knew that everything was going to be ok and we were going to have the best day of our lives."

On her hair and makeup:

"I had an idea of what I wanted but I really left it in Pauline Noble's hands (Flawless Beauty by Pauline). She created my hair styles pretty much on the spot and my makeup was flawless. She's an amazing artist."

We'll be diving into Sejal and Mayur's spectacular reception details, next, so make sure to check back in soon!
