Hello, my darlings! Aria Fine Art Films brings us a romantic Indian wedding that takes place at the palatial Eaglewood Resort and Spa in Illinois. Maharani Dimple met her Maharaja Neal during speed dating! Even though both were skeptical to try it, their respective mothers pushed them to do it! Yet another reason to always listen to your mothers, right ladies?! Now these two lovebirds will become man and wife. Dimple looks radiant as she gets all dolled up by hair and makeup gurus, Nadia Tikki and Sonu Patel. Her sleek and classic updo is fabulous and pumped up with a lot of volume which I am going nuts for! Her eyes are beautifully defined with black charcoal liner and her eyebrows are perfectly shaped, shaded & lined. Kamini's Mehandi beautifully decorates her hands and feet with a gorgeous henna design. Oh, and the beaded to perfection, red & green lengha is designed by AsoPalav. Her groom, Neal, is looking quite dapper himself, as he rides in like a Bollywood hero on his dynamic horse, provided by Maharaja Farm. Don't go anywhere because there is plenty more to come from this momentous day which is planned by Shaadi Creations, but for now, follow me to the gallery for more wedding fun!

From the bride, on how she met her groom:

"Neal and I met at a speed dating event. During the event, we had to make a list of people we enjoyed chatting with and he was definitely my #1! He will tell you differently if you ask him his version! It was something neither of us thought we would ever do nor have a successful outcome but both of our mothers made us go to it. I looked for every excuse in the book to get out of it but am glad I met because I found my Prince Charming that day!"

The proposal:

"It was the weekend before Halloween and Dimple's cousins were visiting Atlanta from Chicago. Neal, being a Georgia native, had planned a trip to Stone Mountain, to show them a beautiful panoramic view of the city from the top of the mountain. But all along, his plan had been to pop the question here since this was the location of one of their first dates! Of course the Modi cousins were part of the plan and once the three of them had scoped out the perfect private location, Neal signaled their departure with the code words, "My, what a beautiful view!" Finally when alone with Dimple, Neal got down on bended knee and asked for her hand in marriage. "YES!" she said as tears of happiness streamed down her face. And this is the beginning of our life-long journey...."

On the hair & makeup:

"For the garba event, I wanted to have a classic braid but wanted a different twist to it. I worked with my stylist to create a braid which was unique and different but still keep with the traditional garba look. For the wedding, I wanted to wear a special wedding tikka across my part as well as forehead but wanted an elevated hair style to wear my veil on my head. For the reception, I wanted a loose, carefree style so I let my hair down and hit the dance floor!"

On the jewelry:

"I wore jewelry that has been worn for at least 3 generations of brides in our family!"

On the lenghas:

"My parents and I took a whirlwind trip to India and worked with multiple designers in India to pick out a color scheme so that the bride and groom's outfits coordinated. I wanted all the glitz and glam that I could pack in since this was my once in a lifetime opportunity to shine in the limelight as the bride."

On planning:

"The most enjoyable part was having the entire extended family be very excited and involved in the planning! From parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, nieces and nephews - we had involvement from 4 generations of family! Everyone showed their love and support through all the hard work they put in and the hours they spent to make our magical weekend so special!"

On the wedding style:

"I wanted to maintain the traditions of a very classic Indian wedding but add a modern spin to it. For the wedding, I wanted to have a royal and elegant look with golds, reds, and maroons but added a splash of color with some purples."

Reception images are still ahead!
