We have a darling Indian wedding film celebrating the love of Priya and Chintan and after you hit play, you will fall in love all over again! Our Maharani and her dashing groom are the epitome of true love and have mastered the art of long distance love. We started off with the garba night at the Arabia Shrine. Chintan loves Garba and his kediyus! (Gujarati outfit for men). The groom wanted a modern version of the kediyu tailor made for him from Mumbai that would go well with Priya’s outfit. Dream Decors Design House ensured that the various events were full of so much cultural glam! We especially loved how garden like the garba night was - this is one theme you don't see often in Indian weddings! Glam Team USA ensured that our bride was picture perfect in each frame, and this bride made glam look effortless. Hit play for Epique Cinema's specialized film!  The gallery hosts more pics waiting for your perusal captured by Bella Lumi Photography. We chat with the bride down below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

We met in 2012 in Toronto, Canada when Chintan flew up there for the day to see a childhood friend of his and I happened to be there. We became friends and kept in touch with almost daily skype sessions. We became good friends, but had no romantic feelings for each other or had even brought it up as we just lived too far apart and in two completely different worlds and never did we spend any time together in person. However, as fate would have it Chintan spontaneously decided to fly down to India and I happened to be in Mumbai. We met up and spent some time just exploring the city. It was then, we both realized that our friendship had bloomed into something different altogether. We started dating and the bonus was he got along really well with my family, on top of being caring and supportive. That's when I knew he was "the one".

I lived in Toronto and Chintan is from Houston. But he made it a point to come visit me in Toronto every two months or so. Each time he visited we would explore a different part of this city. This time we decided to explore High Park, which is a well-known spot in Toronto for those who enjoy the outdoors. We are strolling through the park taking pictures and making our way to the lake, when we come to a small grotto overlooking the lake. And in the grotto is a lady playing a violin – one of my favorite songs - A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. I had no idea Chintan has planned this and I as I was enjoying the song, turn around and Chintan is on his knee with a ring! It was completely unexpected and to top it off, he had gathered some friends and there was a group of tourists that just happen to be passing the spot. Everyone was cheering and I couldn’t contain my surprise, excitement, and tear of Joy.

Being new to Houston, I decided to do some research first. I checked many blogs including Maharani Weddings to get a list of vendors and then set up meetings with each of them to get an idea of their pricing as well as working style. Instagram and Pinterest were my best buddies to narrow down my hair & makeup styles, decor theme and outfit colors. We wanted to play with pastels, floral and candles along with an open mandap setting. Staying within budget was very essential and once I knew which vendors I would go for, I decided to hire an event planner for the day of the event who would make sure everything went by smoothly without having my family or friends run around. This was the best decision I made which made our wedding day so perfect and hassle free.
