It is only natural to be swept off your feet after your future prince charming aptly asks you, “Hey Cinderella, did you lose your shoes?” after you take off your heels to hit the dance floor. This was just the beginning of Maharani Rachita and Sameer’s fairy tale. The couple put a lot of thought and precision detail into their series of events with the help of a dream team vendor list. Elaan Events led the charge for the planning and design of the series of events. When it came to decor, there was no better design team than Decor One. The stellar team envisioned a mystical mandap that was full of Indian charm and fresh, colorful blooms. Guests were struck with wonder and we can certainly see why! The elegant and timeless reception party was brimming with elegant ambiance and with DJ Riz Entertainment handling all the lighting and sound, guests were kept entertained on the dance floor. Epique Cinema captured all the live action with so much wedding inspiration, we must urge you to hit play immediately! If you are still reeling from this wedding, check out our very special feature snapped by Vek Photo that you can find here!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Sameer planned an incredible centered around our time in Austin and my passion for architecture and design. He rented a beautiful house overlooking the hill country. I had thought we were celebrating a good friend's birthday that weekend, and we were all sharing a house together.

When I arrived to the house, Sameer surprised me and took me on a "house tour" where each room represented a different memory we shared. The living room had our friend's reenacting our first time meeting at the South Asian award banquet. The kitchen replayed out first emails we sent to each other (Sameer even printed the original emails on a giant foam board!). The dining room was set up as the day he asked me out in a small Italian restaurant in Austin.

Finally, Sameer took me upstairs to the balcony overlooking the hills where he proposed to me. When I came down the stairs, his parents and my parents came out and surprised me! It was a magical evening, and something I will never forget.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

Our guests particularly enjoyed the field day we hosted the day before the wedding with our family and closest friends. We played various field games such as tug of war, three legged race, and various creative competitions such as twerking dance offs. It was a blast! It helped break the ice for a lot of our guests who had never meet each other because 80% of our families don't live in the same state, let alone the same country as we do.

Thank you for joining us today Maharanis! See you tomorrow.
