"There are so many moments but when Rishad choked up while reading his vows to me... it took my breath away. He was talking about how the long distance in our relationship was finally over and how saying goodbye to me each time was so hard for him while we were dating. He loves me to the moon and back. I love him more! =)"
On special details from family and friends:
"All of Rishad's family came to Dallas to marry us... from all over... Chicago, Canada, Phoenix, Pakistan, India, Houston, California and so many other places. My friends and family prepared welcome baskets for all of his family by putting together into a cowboy hat a bunch of snacks, an itinerary, useful items and other goodies. It was a personal touch welcoming everyone to Dallas, Texas. Although our wedding wasn't a rustic theme, I'm proud to be a Texan and say 'y'all' all the time =). Also, Rishad's mom personally made each and every wedding favor for the reception... which was a rose looking stem filled with an after-dinner-sweet.
On personal touches:
"Rishad and I put so much of our personal touch into this wedding. We personally drafted, designed and assembled so many wedding details...the wedding program and the personalized water bottles at the civil ceremony, the lace cones for each chair at the civil ceremony, the backdrop at both of our mehndis, the center pieces at our pithi, the menu cards at the reception and so much more. Our love was in it all."
