Such an exciting day today!  Our new blog, R A N I S, is up and running and we are featuring one of the prettiest weddings I have ever laid eyes on.  A great way to kick off the new year!

Renee and Nick's wedding goes down as a Maharani Weddings favorite because the beachy elements of this wedding are just spectacular. We choose Nikki Khan, of Exquiste Events, to be a Platinum Guide member because her weddings always have a cohesive look of understated glamour & elegance. We just love what Nikki and Renee created together!

From Nikki : Renee and Nick’s love for the ocean was apparant in the fact they chose the wedding location that had uninhibited views of the Pacific. We decided to bring the ocean theme in her design and therefore the two colors that were chosen were white and aqua blue.

Here is a great idea to add a little something special to your beach themed Indian wedding. The event designers did a great job bringing the ocean into these centerpieces.  A little pop of the shells and star fish adds the perfect thematic touch.

A bit more from Nikki : Renee handmade the menus with sea shells around, place cards and gift boxes.  We created a magical setting by keeping the flowers at minimum in order to truly enhanced the ambiance of the venue.  The tables were scattered with sea shells, star fish, and the flowers that ran across the entire table length like a runner.  There were large arrangements of willow branches, sea shells and white flowers in between the tables.  After the ceremony, guests sipped the blue cocktails overlooking the ocean while a jazz band played beautiful music.  The dinner area was enclosed with hedges and was "revealed " once the guests were ushered to the dinner area.  Tables were set in a U Shape with a rectangular white high gloss dance floor in the middle.  Dinner was served family style and in between courses, guests enjoyed dancing while the dj played nostalgic Indian songs.  Once bhangra music started, everyone was on the dance floor having a great time.  Wine bottles were given to each departing guest that were selected by the groom.  The night was enchanting and guests left experiencing a very unique Indian wedding.
