A great ceremony can only lead to an exceptional party that turns into a timeless evening! And that is exactly what Sejal & Chirag planned for their big night! Teresa Gaspar from the Hanover Marriott's planning team helped the bride and groom build their dream wedding, while Abhishek Decorators decorated the central spot of the wedding reception with fascinating pillars and an elaborate royal blue and golden drapery. Leading DJ, Jay Dabhi, took over the turntables to make everyone enjoy the best music during the night and for the good-looking couple to have their romantic first dance. I’m seriously crushing on Sejal’s astonishing golden evening look that completed the groom’s iconic black tuxedo, the lovely couple was portrayed by The Pros Photography who brilliantly snapped the newlyweds’ reception glow. Rasoi’s fine Indian cuisine delighted all of those who attended the grand celebration right after the couple cut a majestic white wedding cake to honor the traditional sweet part of the wedding! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met on OK Cupid. I knew he was the one after dating for just 1 month.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He took me for dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant on Thursday, July 7, 2016. We’ve always wanted to do an escape room together. He took me to one and had a recording going on in our room that I had no idea about. It was just us two and at the end of the escape we solved it- I found the key, opened the drawer and there was a note in the drawer that said: “will you marry me?”

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I was fully satisfied with all of my vendors. My guests still talk about Rasoi who was our caterer. Amazing food! My make up artist GlowZee, was phenomenal! We had a royal blue and ivory theme for our reception. Our wedding colors were pink orange for bride and pistachio for the groom, Kal Ho Na Ho Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan wedding inspired. The venue Hanover Marriott was amazing as well. They were so perfect with the organization of our wedding all the way until our reception.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My bridal lengha was from Pinky Chopra a vendor on Long Island. I modeled for GlowZee and for one of my modeling gigs I wore this bridal outfit. I am pinky Chopra two years later if that dress was available and that same piece I modeled with two years earlier was hanging in her shop just for me!!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was spending time with my fiancé and getting to know each other. Planning for us was quality time with each other.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They loved the food and the venue!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My first look and the reaction on my husbands face when he saw me as his bride for the first time.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Simple is success! It looks elegant and classy. Don’t go heavy on your decor. Let your guests embrace the beauty of just simple decor without overwhelming them. Make Pinterest your best friend for ideas. We sure did! Rely on each other for opinions- after all this is just the beginning of it all!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
At the end of the day only you know the itinerary and if anything goes wrong. And even if things don’t go as planned, embrace the moment. My father in law was fighting for his life in the hospital on an oxygen tank as we were taking our pheras around the fire. At the end of the day, all you have is each other and this day will never come back. Enjoy every second of it and make the best of what you have. The wedding is only the celebration to start your journey to marriage. Marriage is what the real deal is.

Another great wedding story and more to come tomorrow!
