Welcome back Maharanis! We're returning with part two of Swati and Pete's South Indian fusion wedding celebration, this time held at the Detroit Yacht Club! For the first look portraits, taken by Brandon Rais Photography, our South Indian bride wore a long, white high-waisted gown. Our bride's classic look, featuring subtle makeup and retro curls, was by Bridal Beauty Detroit On-Location Makeup & Hair. At the reception after the non-denominational ceremony, our bride was chic in a lovely magenta lengha. Throughout the day Melissa Marie Events took care of every detail, making sure the whole celebration was as elegant as envisioned by the newlyweds and flawlessly executing the couple's vintage floral theme. Even the cake -- by Love and Buttercream -- was perfectly coordinated with the flowers! Meanwhile, Top That! Event's beautiful decorations brought an air of refinement to the soiree. Check out the full gallery to see the entirety of this sophisticated shaadi!
From the bride on choosing her reception lengha:
"I spent hours on the internet and then eventually just went to Jackson Heights in Queens, NY and bought the first lengha I liked."
On the most magical moments of the day:
"Our vows and our introduction as husband and wife into the reception where all of our family and friends celebrated our union."
On their first dance song:
"We actually had too many special songs so we decided on 'You're the One' by The Black Keys."
See you tomorrow for an exciting collaboration with Project Nursery!
