From the bride, on the wedding style:

"I wanted it to be simple and elegant. I love how the use of color can make a room look very rich yet elegant without the need for tons of crystals or gold. Accordingly, I wanted the colors to be deep and rich, and we both liked the combination of teal and purple."

On the lengha:

"My reception lengha was a custom Satya Paul. I worked with their store in Toronto to have one of their designs changed to match our colors and had the blouse designed to the look that I wanted."

On the hair & makeup:

"I knew I wanted my hair up for the ceremony and down for the reception. From there, I worked with my stylist to pick final styles. I also told my stylist what type of makeup I wanted and she did a couple trials and we then worked together to pick final looks."

On special details:

"My sister coordinated a "family flashmob" to Jai Ho which 20+ family members performed at our reception. She ran practice for 6 months with family from across the USA, Europe and India. It was so much fun and we loved it!"

On the jewelry:

"My ceremony jewelry is the same jewelry my mom wore for her wedding. I had it polished and loved how nearly 40 years later, it still looked beautiful."

On the cake:

"We are both pretty big sports fans and wanted to incorporate that, but it was difficult without ruining the elegance of the evening. We ended up including it with a custom cake topper from Etsy which was perfect."

On a special guest of honor:

"The real guest of honor was our dog, Chester. Our venue was so wonderful about allowing him to be present which was very important to us. We got him a custom "kurtha" made in India, and my sister designed a "chariot" for him to be pulled down the aisle in. He absolutely stole the show!"

That's just too cute for words! Hope you enjoyed this, dolls!
