Happy Wednesday, ladies! Guess what? It is time for a new film! And we are beyond excited to share Malavika & Jai's wedding with all of you. So don't think twice, our a glass of your favorite beverage, and get ready to enjoy the mesmerizing film captured by the talented and highly experienced crew at Hakim's Studio. Every scene of this wedding is beautiful as inspiring, and it certainly is the best way to start this Wednesday off with the right foot. Although everything was fantastic, nothing compared to the captivating look of our gorgeous Maharani Malavika. She was a vision of beauty, and we loved her bridal look so much that we are still sighing over it. The traditional and fashionable Saree from Sakhi Boutique, the exquisite makeup by Makeup with Veena, and the sleek hairstyle designed by Femme Beauty by Bhavna were all a perfect combination of beauty and traditional flair. But that is not all! She took her fashion game to the next level with the fabulous Mehndi outlined by Forever Beauty by Manisha. And we cannot stress how much we loved it! If you don't want to miss any detail of this lovely wedding, hit the play icon below, and get ready to have a great time. You will love it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met at a pizza shop in Tallahassee, Florida. (You can see our story with pictures on our website!)

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Jai told me that we were attending a work party. I was tricked! Once I got to the top of the SCAD building in Midtown, Atlanta, I was surprised with a outdoor path of milestone pictures. Our siblings (my sister and his brother) were there as well with signs.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning a wedding and then replanning during a pandemic was difficult! It had its ups and downs. We had all of our vendors booked and all decisions made by the first week of March... right before everything shut down! So we had to be creative and replan.

We ended up hiring vendors for photography and videography, food, and hair/makeup/mehndi... nothing else! Everything else was DIY based on visions we had for our bigger wedding but down to scale. We did decor, music, everything else!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted to do red because it was the most transitional. I ended up wearing a sari because it’s the most custom in Konkani culture (I am Konkani and Jai, my now husband, is Gujarati)

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I think it was the most enjoyable planning the little details such as wedding favors (I.e custom popcorn box we made for the attendees, personalized masks and mask bags). It felt very personal and unique, a way to bring out or personalities and maybe something we might not have been able to do if we had a bigger wedding as previously planned.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think the guests were pleasantly surprised about a couple of things. 1) how intimate and fun the wedding was due to size because everyone was involved in some way and connected through the whole ceremony 2) the personalized favors as mentioned in the last question

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I think just the ceremony in general, having everyone in that small room pay attention, laugh along with us... it was so intimate and I would not trade it for the bigger wedding.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
No matter how much you plan, there will be random last minute things that do not go according to plan. Take deep breaths, reach out to support, and remember that at the end of all this, you will be married and it will be worth it!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Every vendor listed here was AMAZING in hearing our needs, working with us, and being flexible through the pandemic wedding journey (even pre-pandemic). I genuinely highly recommend each vendor listed here.

We are preparing somehting extra special for you tomorrow, so make sure to join us.
