Nirali and Ajay’s wedding film by Aaroneye Photography is pure magic! Set under the glorious California sunshine of Long Beach, this cinematic delight will make you forget all your worries! The celebrations kicked off with a spirited sangeet at Amaya, where guests left their inhibitions at home and showed off their most creative dance moves for Nirali and Ajay. Next was the main event, an outdoor Hindu ceremony at the The Westin Long Beach. The space was airy and fresh, and decorated expertly by the planning, design, and floral/decor aficionados at BEL Event Productions. The mandap was draped in gauzy coral fabrics and tropical florals, creating such a refreshing ambiance! Ajay’s bharat kicked off in front of the hotel, and guests had the time of their life rocking out to the dhol from Fusion Sounds. Factor in the sunshine and windswept palm trees surrounding the commotion, and it made for one unforgettable baraat! Meanwhile, the main attraction, Maharani Nirali, was busy preparing herself for her much anticipated walk down the aisle. She was a vision in an apple red lehenga and glowing hair and makeup by Nida Gazi, and Ajay couldn’t tear his eyes away from her as she made her way to his side. After the effervescent ceremony, the giddy couple was thrilled to finally be pronounced husband and wife! They, and their guests were ready to party for their decadent reception, which took place inside The Westin Long Beach. The lux decor and florals by BEL Event Productions and lighting and music by Fusion Sounds helped add to the mood of utter joy inside the space. Hit play to revel in all the love, dancing, and sparkles of this reception extravaganza. What a fantastic weekend!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

My husband and I met on Coffee Meets Bagel and we thought it was appropriate to have our first date at Portola Coffee lab because we both love coffee and second because of the name of the dating app, obviously. I can't recall an exact ahh ha moment where I knew he was the one. But I think the fact that we lived far away from each other and somehow still managed to see each other 3-4 times a week was clearly a good sign. On our third date I feel like I had a good feeling about him mainly because we went mini golfing and we bet watching a Bollywood movie (mind you he is not a fan of Bollywood movies whatsoever). He ended up losing and on our 4th date he stayed awake through a full 3 hour Bollywood movie. He was a keeper from then on...

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

AJ (my husband) came up with all sorts of stories to get me to a park in Irvine where he beautifully decorated a gazebo at sunset which overlooked the lake. For some reason I just wouldn't go to the park. So he finally told me that his car broke down and asked if I could come by. My response was "you have an electric car...plug it in!" Finally I made it to the park and it was just so beautifully set up. He had made a book and we read it together and he proposed at the end of the book. The ring was gorgeous he had designed it from my three favorites. I love my ring because it was created by my husband and unique to us. Luckily there was a photographer there to capture our special moment. The next day we met with both set of parents for lunch. And when I thought the surprises ended he surprised me again with an endgame by party with our friends and family. Definitely a weekend we both will never forget.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

We honestly didn't know where to get started with wedding planning. After we got an average headcount from both sides we started venue hunting. Luckily in this process we met with Atrina and Morgan from BEL and they were amazing. We did some research and talked to a lot of friends getting married and came up with an amazing vendor list. We loved al of our vendors and really appreciated how calm and collected they each were which made a huge difference in our special day. I loved my hair and makeup for all the events by Nida Gazi. We just finished our final proofs with Greycard photography and just watched our wedding video by Aaroneye. Our reception was catered by Jay Bharat and our Sangeet was at Amaya. One thing that really stood out to us was instead of telling each of our vendors exactly what we wanted and how it needed to be done, we went into each vendor meeting trusting the vendor to do their best with no specific dos and don'ts and no specific rules and we loved the product!! Our wedding day was exactly what we wanted and truly specialized for us as a couple.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

We went to 11 weddings last year, including our own, but there were a few things our friends and family still tell us they loved about wedding. My husband and I used to go every Tuesday for taco Tuesday at a different locations in OC/LA. So we wanted to incorporate tacos into our wedding. BEL helped us bring our vision to life. We hired a person to dress in an ice cream man outfit with a ice cream cart handing out Choco Tacos( my two favorite things chocolate and tacos :)) the guest loved the uniqueness and the simplicity. And we loved that it was totally US.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

I'm not going to say don't stress because c'mon every girl is going to stress. In hindsight I would say that make your wedding special to you and your husband so that you guys remember what made you laugh and smile that day. Also, I would say trust your vendors they are experts in their industry and they wish to give you a special day.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

My mehndi was done by Masu Patel and she was amazing. She is so young and her work is just impeccable.

I designed my wedding lengha at Dream Collection. I used a lot of inspiration from Pinterest. It was definitely an amazing dress that created many memories for my mom and I while we were designing.

So amazing right Maharanis? See you all tomorrow morning with another lovely film!
