We’re thrilled to share a film from the Windy City today! Chicago is one of our very favorite destinations and was the perfect backdrop to Preenu and Sobin’s wedding film created by I Do Video by Leo. The video begins with the radiant bride preparing for her ceremony in an angelic lace gown, glittering jewelry, intricate henna by Hennaz Art, and glamorous hair and makeup by Beauty by S & S. The bride and groom, both from Kerala, had a traditional Christian ceremony, surrounded by their loved ones. We enjoyed watching the couple pose for their wedding portraits in a sunny meadow, with the magnificent Chicago skyline framing the background of each shot. Dhani Laine Photography captured stills from this gorgeous affair, and we can’t wait to see more photos from the events! Preenu then changed into a dazzling sari, and the newly married couple made a grand entrance to their spectacular reception hall at Pazzo's @ 311, which is located in the heart of Chicago, directly adjacent to the iconic Sears Tower. The space was elegantly decorated by Poonam Creations, with gorgeous pink bouquets and lavender uplighting. The loving twosome then cut their delectable pink cake, which looked fit for a princess! This film featured some of the most energetic dancing we’ve ever seen at a reception - It seemed like each and every guest was on their feet rocking out the music by Do it All Entertainment. This wedding looked like an absolute blast from beginning to end, and we’re so happy for the newlyweds! Check out their wedding film below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the One?”

We had been friends on Facebook since 2009 and went to the same church, same university and even had the same last name. We started chatting in 2014, and I realized the One was just under my nose! We hit it off right away and knew that our connection was something special.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Sobin arranged to have all my family and friends waiting for us at Navy Pier. He told me we were going to get drinks with his brother and sister-in-law. It was one of the last warm days of the summer and we walked down the pier together. I saw a bench decorated in lights, rose petals, and that's when he knelt and asked the biggest question of our lives. After I said yes, our family and friends came out of their hiding spots. It was amazing having the moment just be the two of us and then being surrounded by our family and friends. Afterwards, Sobin organized an event on a rooftop lounge where we could all enjoy the night.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Planning the wedding was challenging for sure. We wanted a romantic and elegant feel, while at the same time making sure our guests had a blast! We had glow sticks, an AWESOME DJ, sparklers and a glass ceiling during the event. We definitely had the wedding of our dreams!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

Picking our venue in the heart of Chicago and talking to our vendors was my favorite aspect. We got to tour so many historic and beautiful venues in Chicago and got to imagine our wedding vision at each one, until we found Pazzo's @ 311 and we knew everything was falling into place.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

Our venue, the views of the city and the Sears Tower, the music, and the food were all things we kept hearing rave reviews about :).

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Walking down the aisle to my groom and our first dance are moments I replay all the time. Also, we danced in the streets of Chicago! What a bucket-list kind of memory!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Stay calm and keep your vision in mind. Many people will have opinions and requirements and sometimes you'll have to compromise, but know at the end of the day, this is your wedding and a day you'll truly treasure.

We'll see you tomorrow Maharanis!
