There is something just so serene and comforting about candle lit rooms. I have always loved curling up with a good wedding magazine and a warm blanket next to my fireplace. But, this Maharani has completely reinstated my love for lights and luxury. We return today to showcase the over the top cinematography from our friends at Memory Films. Both the wedding and ceremony was created for a Goddess at the Marriott Las Colinas, which was wreathed in perfection by Prashe, who handled all the floral and decor. K.I. Weddings did a stellar job in planning all the events at the prominent hotel. Guests were treated to dessert from Celebrity Cake and tunes fromDJ Riz. Our beautiful bride looked stunning with makeup and hair from Ishnae & Co. One of my favorite aspects of this wedding was the lengha Megha wore on her reception night. She absolutely radiated with every move. Everything in this wedding looked so perfect. Down to the décor, to the flowers and the absolutely stunning candle lit venue, I can honestly express to you all that I watched this video several times. The love between Megha and Tejas is one that is truly unbreakable. Read on as Megha gushes about her nuptials down below! If you want to take a peek at this Maharani's wedding extravaganza, see all the featured images by MnMfoto we showcased in the past here!

Maharani Megha spills the details on her special day!

How did you meet your Raja and when did you know he was "the one"?

Tejas and I met at a party in Baltimore through mutual friends. I was introduced to Tejas 5 times by 5 of these different friends. It was very much like a scene from "How I Met your Mother" with his friends constantly asking " Haaaave you met Tejas?". Tejas immediately gave off a sweet, light-hearted and calming vibe that I was instantly attracted to.

Tell us about your wedding style. When you sat down to really figure out how your dream wedding would look, did you start with one central color, a palette of colors, or a theme that served as your inspiration?

I love candlelight and knew I wanted that to be the central focus throughout the wedding. I love how candles can both brighten and soften a space. When I met with my decor professionals, the incredible Prashe Decor, they were able to create the most beautiful mandap made of candles, embellished with cherry blossoms and light draping. The reception centerpieces were surrounded by candle treatments. It was the most perfect and stunning setup that truly made me feel like this was a dream wedding.

What did you enjoy most about the process of planning your dream Indian wedding?

I loved that I had an excuse to visit Texas so often and spend quality time with my parents!

Looking back, was there a really special moment that you remember from your wedding that stands out as the most magical?

Too many to choose from! My favorite moment was at the Sangeet when Tejas and his friends ripped off their white dress shirts to their undershirts, which were these hideous t-shirts with Britney Spears face plastered all over (I am a huge Britney fan). Tejas also surprised me by playing the guitar and singing "Forever" by Jesse and Rippers from Full House. This was a laugh/cry moment for me, because we always joked about the cheesiness of the song and how awful/amazing it would be if we incorporated it in our wedding. It was hilariously sweet and creative, and it made me the happiest knowing that Tejas would be my partner in crime for life.

Did family or friends help out with certain special details that really added to the event?

It takes a village, and we had the best village possible. We had a dream team of vendors that went above and beyond, and friends that volunteered their time and expertise. Much credit goes to my mother who was extremely detailed oriented throughout the planning process and truly made it an unforgettable event.
