Ontario, CAN Indian Wedding by Tiltin Tripod

When it comes to redefining the phrase “backyard wedding,” Nidhi & Jignesh have officially raised the bar — and then some. Their Indian wedding in Ontario was a masterclass in transforming a familiar space into a jaw-dropping, dreamlike landscape bursting with color, culture, and charm. From the first radiant glance to the final twirl under twinkling lights, every moment was magic.

The day unfolded under the masterful planning of Kesarii Events, which also served as event designers, orchestrating every detail with intention and flair. From logistics to aesthetic decisions, their hands-on approach brought cohesiveness to the multi-day celebration, allowing Nidhi & Jignesh’s personalities to shine through. The cherry on top? The incredible work of Silver Turtle Decor, whose floral and stage designs gave us bold elegance with a hint of fairytale romance. Think lush red blooms, dreamy canopies, and intricately adorned mandaps that looked like they leaped out of a royal garden.

Nidhi was every bit the modern Maharani in not one but two stunning looks—her regal wedding lehenga by Vani Vats and an elegant second bridal ensemble by Debyani. Each outfit was a tribute to craftsmanship and tradition, and paired perfectly with her radiant smile and heirloom-inspired jewelry. Jignesh stood tall beside her in a crisp ivory sherwani with soft floral accents, bringing old-school royalty into a modern lens. The ceremony itself was a deeply spiritual and emotional affair. With red floral garlands draped around their necks and hands folded in prayer, the couple honored age-old customs with a quiet reverence that made every heart in the room pause. The detailing—the intricate kalire swaying from Nidhi’s wrists, the custom mehndi design etched with symbols of love, and the traditional rituals photographed in perfect symmetry—each added to the larger story unfolding across the frames.

As the sun set, the vibe shifted, and the celebration lit up—literally. Enter DJ Nsane, who turned up the energy. From epic first dances to non-stop bhangra beats, the reception turned into a full-on dance fest that had every guest on their feet. Universal Floor Wraps added a polished finish to the dance floor, while Bar 26 kept spirits high with custom cocktails and endless cheer. The reception stage was nothing short of a showstopper—think chandeliers, glowing candles, velvet red blooms, and all the royal vibes. Nidhi looked right at home, exuding newlywed elegance against the stunning setup. From the lively sangeet to the heartfelt ceremony and glamorous reception, every moment was a labor of love, brought to life with style and soul. With Kanny Films capturing it all on film, this wedding story now lives forever in motion.

Let’s pause for a moment to talk about Tiltin Tripod, whose photography didn’t just document the day—it elevated it. Their images are lush with detail, light, and emotion: the bride’s luminous bridal glow, the joy of a roaring sangeet, the serenity of the wedding rituals, and the dazzling charm of the reception décor. Whether it was a soft smile exchanged during the ceremony or a windswept moment under the bride’s red dupatta, they managed to preserve it all with grace, storytelling, and timeless artistry.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Kethan back in 2006 during our high school orientation. We were placed in the same group and ended up having all the same classes freshman year. We quickly became close friends. Although we didn’t officially start dating until our senior year, I had a huge crush on him by junior year. I remember telling one of my closest friends at the time that I could actually see myself marrying him someday. It was typical teenage wishful thinking. But
as it turns out, I was right!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Kethan and I are big hikers, so it was no surprise when my older sister asked if I wanted to go on a post-Thanksgiving hike. Of course, I said yes! We planned a group hike with both my family and Kethan’s family.

As we made our way to the summit, I actually ended up getting a little lost with my nephew while everyone else waited at the top. When I finally reached the summit, Kethan took me to the edge of the cliff to take in the view, and that’s when he proposed. I cried like a baby!

Afterward, we all headed back to my mother-in-law’s house, where more family and friends were waiting to celebrate.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
It was important for us to celebrate both of our cultures across three days. We started with a Filipino Christian ceremony at the Westfield United Methodist Church. Afterwards, we had an intimate gathering with close friends and family in a beautiful tented setup in my mother-in-law’s backyard. I wore a romantic corseted white dress, and Kethan honored my culture by wearing a traditional Barong.

For our main venue, we knew we wanted something surrounded by nature and a reception hall that would be able to accommodate our guests. I didn’t really enjoy the look of traditional ballrooms and wanted something that was different. We ultimately landed on Snug Harbor, a dreamy venue with lush gardens and a grand reception hall with vaulted ceilings and unique wooden details.  As big fantasy nerds, we went with a whimsical, Lord of the Rings-inspired theme, complete with moody candlelight, mossy details, and even a Middle-earth seating chart. Kethan walked down the aisle to “concerning hobbits,” and I walked down to an Elvish song. To help with cost, we DIYed most of the decor, including fun personal touches like custom napkins with our dogs’ faces on them and signage.

I chose vendors who made me feel seen, safe, and supported, especially Natalie from Lace and Rose Events, who helped bring our vision to life.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Since my husband’s family is from South India, I knew I wanted to honor that by wearing a Kanchipuram saree. I’ve always loved bold, bright colors, so I went in thinking I’d choose something in the pink or orange family.

While we were visiting Chennai, Kethan’s aunt took us shopping to find the perfect saree. At first, nothing really spoke to me until we walked into Mokshaa. One of the salesmen showed me the most stunning iridescent coral pink saree with intricate gold zari detailing. In the light, it shimmered with different tones and felt vibrant, elegant, and completely me.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Making the Lord of the Rings-inspired décor was one of my favorite parts. I love hands-on projects, so it felt more creative than stressful. Plus, it gave me a chance to hang out with my sisters and best friend while getting things done.

Clothes shopping with them was also a highlight, especially seeing them try on Indian outfits for the first time. It was fun, a little chaotic at times, and a really memorable part of the process.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The food, hands down. Everyone raved about it. The team at Relish did an amazing job putting together a diverse and delicious menu that people are still talking about.

Another big highlight was our vows. They were really personal and emotional. There were definitely a lot of tears in the crowd.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our vows. I’m not someone who’s usually very expressive with my emotions, but that moment gave us the opportunity to truly solidify our commitment to each other. It felt vulnerable, powerful, and full of so much love.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Our second day of events included a mehendi brunch followed by the sangeet that evening. Kethan’s family put so much effort into transforming the backyard that it was absolutely stunning. The décor was bright and festive, filled with vibrant yellows and pinks.

For my mehendi outfit, I wore a mustard pre-draped saree from Ritu Kumar, while Kethan wore a maroon kurta. Dinner was a mix of Indian and Filipino food, including a big lechon that was quickly devoured by our guests.

That night at the sangeet, I changed into a sequined purple lehenga from Mokshaa, and Kethan wore a sequined navy kurta set. The evening was filled with incredible performances. My bridesmaids and I danced to “What Jhumka?” and Kethan and his cousins brought the energy with “Chaiyya Chaiyya.” To represent my Filipino roots, my sister and I performed the tinikling, a traditional folk dance using bamboo sticks.

Arjun and the Luxe Team MC’d the night and kept the music and energy flowing until the very end.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t crash out before the party starts. Eat something, stay hydrated, and give yourself grace. As per the words of Kethan, “Everything is going to be okay.”

From forest vibes to fusion vows, this wedding was a true celebration of heart and heritage.

East Northport, NY Fusion Wedding by J’adore Love Photo & Cinema

When Vishwani & Wyatt began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a day that would honor their South Asian heritage while capturing the modern, fun-loving essence of their relationship. And let me tell you—this couple delivered in spades! The morning of the wedding was a flurry of excitement. Vishwani, resplendent in her richly embroidered Chahat Couture lehenga, was a vision of poise and elegance. She chose a deep, regal red that complemented her warm smile and the intricate henna by Henna by Pallavi. As she adjusted her dupatta, she confessed, “I wanted my outfit to reflect the powerful woman I’ve grown into while staying rooted in tradition.” And it did exactly that.

Wyatt, meanwhile, looked every inch the suave groom in his tailored tuxedo from Knot Standard, blending classic style with the spirit of the day. As he waited for his first look at Vishwani, he admitted to a few butterflies fluttering around. But the moment he turned around to see her, time seemed to stop. Their eyes met, and it was as if the world hushed to watch this beautiful moment unfold. The couple’s chosen venue, The Larkfieldwas transformed into an enchanting floral wonderland by the talented team at Exclusive Events NY. Think lush garlands, vibrant blooms, and a dreamy ceremony arch that framed the couple’s vows perfectly. They truly pulled out all the stops, infusing each corner with color and magic, making it feel like a scene from a fairytale. The ceremony was a blend of laughter and heartfelt emotion. As Vishwani and Wyatt exchanged vows, the love in their eyes was palpable. They shared quiet glances and sweet smiles that spoke volumes, even as the world around them seemed to melt away.

A. Merisier Events, working in collaboration with WMF Floral & Design, orchestrated a seamless day of celebration. From the mehndi night—where guests admired the intricate henna patterns on Vishwani’s hands—to the lively baraat, where Wyatt arrived in a flower-adorned BMW that could only be described as the ultimate “Wow Factor,” the entire wedding was a testament to impeccable planning. Speaking of the baraat, let’s pause for a second. Picture this: a convoy of guests in colorful attire, waving smoke bombs in the air, and Wyatt riding in style. It was the kind of entrance that made everyone stop, stare, and start dancing. Honestly, who needs a horse when you have a luxury car decked in blooms and a groom with a megawatt smile?

The evening continued with an epic reception where DJ Gudah and Finer Touch Entertainment kept the beats flowing and the dance floor packed. Vishwani, twirling in her lehenga, glowed under the lights as Wyatt beamed at her. Their friends and family joined in, making sure the dance floor was never empty and the joy was infectious. Not to be outdone, the couple’s four-legged ring bearer—courtesy of the Royal Dog of Honor—stole a few hearts and a few selfies. The sweet tooth in the room had its moment of bliss, thanks to the delectable treats from Chaiwala Cart NY.

J’adore Love Photo & Cinema captured it all—the quiet, tender moments, the bursts of laughter, and every dance move in between. Their lens didn’t just document the day—it told a story. From the teary-eyed first look to the electrifying energy of the baraat, every image reflected the heart and soul of the celebration. The artistry in their work is undeniable; each frame feels intentional, vibrant, and full of life. They have a remarkable ability to freeze raw emotion in a single click, so much so that looking through Vishwani & Wyatt’s album feels like reliving the wedding all over again. The composition, color, and storytelling style speak to the expertise and passion of a team that genuinely understands the rhythm of South Asian weddings. Enjoy it!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
To my surprise, Wyatt proposed on Sunday, September 5, 2021. As foodies and frequent explorers of new and exciting restaurants, Wyatt arranged a dinner for us at the famous River Cafe in Brooklyn. The hope was/is that for decades to come, we will return to the River Cafe to reminisce about this special moment in our relationship. Coupled with dinner, Wyatt informed me that his job had organized a boat ride as a “work event.” This second and post-dinner component would be the cover Wyatt needed to get me alone. As we approached the Pier, the captain of the small boat informed us that the rest of Wyatt’s co-workers had either canceled or were running late. That was the moment when I knew. Indeed, it was either the suspicious solo boat, the bottle of Dom Perignon that Wyatt insisted we bring since the “work event” was BYOB, the pre-arranged assortment of chocolates, or the overly large engagement ring box protruding from Wyatt’s pocket since dinner. We quickly set sail with a pre-arranged playlist that reminded us of our dating years, including a summer road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. When we reached the Statue of Liberty, Wyatt approached me, got down on one knee, and asked me to make him the luckiest man on the planet. The rest is history.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For my bridal lengha, I wanted a traditional look with a twist: an elaborate red and white gold lehenga with pops of color to stand out.

For my wedding dress, I was open to trying every style and option out there, so it took me a while to make a decision! I didn’t really have a vision of what I wanted to wear (whenever someone asked me, I told them I just saw Wyatt down the aisle and not what I was wearing!) I visited multiple (probably 10+) salons over months to find the perfect dresses, and was very happy I took the time to figure out my vision! Viero Bridal was an absolute pleasure to work with.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Guests loved to see all of our family and friends come together to celebrate our love and the blend of cultures. For the traditional Hindu ceremony, most guests wore traditional attire, and Wyatt and his closest friends and family even surprised me with a Bollywood performance!

Cheers to the newlyweds—a love as timeless as their beautiful and meaningful wedding day.

Miami Beach, FL Indian Wedding by Diego Stuart Films

Shimmering waves, golden sand, and the gentle hum of Miami’s ocean breeze meet the vibrant colors and joyous chaos of an Indian wedding. Yes, we’re talking about Aarthi & Aidan’s unforgettable celebration at the iconic Eden Roc Miami Beach.

The welcome party kicked off with a gorgeous sunset and the most beautiful Amalfi coast-inspired decor arranged personally by the amazing planner, Marianne of Tres Chic Event Planning. It was stunning—the drinks were flowing, and the vibes were sky-high! The next event was the Hindu wedding, and so many guests raved that the decor was the best they’d ever seen, thanks to A Creation by Mario. Marianne recommended him, and, oh boy, did he deliver! The final day’s Christian beach wedding and reception somehow topped even that, with twinkle lights over the dance floor and the perfect tablescape. Marianne worked her magic again, finding just the right vendors to bring Aarthi’s vision to life. “Best weekend of my life,” Aarthi said, “and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing planner, florist, DJ, photographer, and all the other vendors who turned our dreams into reality!”

If there was one element that kept this party pulsing like a Bollywood blockbuster, it was the unstoppable beats from Pavan Events. From the joyous Baraat that had Aidan channeling his inner Maharaja on the Miami sands to the reception dance floor that could have powered the entire city grid, they brought the ultimate ‘let’s get this party started’ energy. The transitions between Hindi bangers and American chart-toppers were seamless, like watching an expertly choreographed dance of cultures in every beat. Let’s be real: we’re still recovering from those dance-offs!

Aarthi, the absolute vision of a modern Maharani, radiated in her stunning ensemble (if you’re wondering, Marz Makeup and Hair gave her that goddess-level glow). Her bridal draping and sari tying were flawless, thanks to the artistry of Blush by D, which truly draped her like a goddess stepping out of a Bollywood dream. And let’s not forget the striking mehndi by Henna by Sumaiya Waheed, each swirl and pattern telling a story of love and luck. Capturing every laugh, every twirl, and every tender glance was the incomparable Diego Stuart Films. Their cinematic magic turned the wedding into a reel of unforgettable memories. From the playful sparkle in Aidan’s eyes during the couple’s first look to the heartfelt speeches at the reception, Diego Stuart’s team didn’t miss a single “Wow” moment. Their film is a living testament to how love truly conquers all (and looks fabulous doing it in Miami).

Love, laughter, and endless dancing—this wedding was truly a Miami Beach masterpiece!
