Following our newlyweds' incredible day, Peter Nguyen Photography takes us to a magical Sheena and Amir's reception space that came alive with simple yet sophisticated decor by Kumba Events! I simply love the beautiful peacock feathered pattern of the sweethearts' stage! Maharani Sheena took the dance floor in a gorgeous emerald green lehenga along with an adorable hairstyle by Boldface Beauty. While Raja Amir posed next to her in a deep purple tuxedo jacket. This time the charming bridal entourage joined the bride in glorious purple lehengas they twirled all night long. The night was filled with vibrant entertainment and fabulous feast catered by Mantra. Peter Nguyen Photography beautifully captured the evening's most memorable moments, from the couple's gorgeous first portraits to their memorable dances! Follow me to the gallery for all the wonderful scenes.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met on Tinder. The special part is that we technically met by mistake, a glitch in the geolocation of the app, but the glitch was life-changing! Amir was traveling to Los Angeles from Maryland for work. He popped up on my Tinder while he was in LA, but did not get back on there himself until he was back in Maryland..so I never should have popped up on his account. Once he landed back in Maryland and hopped on the app, swiped right on my profile, the app crashed! It somehow saved our match and we were able to start chatting from there.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He disguised it as a late Valentine's Day date as we were both so busy with work and hadn't gotten the chance to celebrate on the actual holiday. He surprised me by picking me up from work mid-day and we went on a gondola ride in Huntington Beach. Mid-way through the ride I came across a floating message in a bottle. I thought it may just be a cute Valentine's Day note but as I opened it up and read the sweetest message, he got down on one knee to propose! I literally did not know it was happening until it just was. After that, he had planned a dinner for what I thought was just the two of us, but when I walked in to the restaurant, both of our families were there waiting! His family flew all the way from Maryland to LA to be there with us which was so special and fun. I thought we were still discussing ring designs, little did I  know he was entertaining the conversation when everything was already done!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted my bridal lengha to be a little different than the traditional red and gold, so I came up with the ombre idea of white/pink/red so I was able to have a little bit of the traditional color mixed in to my own unique idea. Working with Heeral at Sari Palace as great, she really helped me with creating the vision I had in my head, my dress turned out exactly as I wanted it!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I honestly enjoyed the whole process. I told myself at the beginning to always remember this whole thing was being planned for a happy occasion, so the process should should mirror it. I didn't want to be too stressed out or unhappy like I heard many brides say, so I gave myself 1.5 years to plan. My parents were EXTREMELY helpful, I could not have done this without them. Seeing your relatives and family come together to really help out for such a big day is amazing, it truly shows how much people care.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our dance floor! Amir and I both love to dance as do our friends..so it really made all the guests feel comfortable to get out there and stay there all night! I have never been to a reception where the dance floor stays as packed as it did all night, we truly had the best time seeing everyone enjoying themselves.

See you ladies tomorrow
