Happy Wednesday dear readers! Today we are being honored with the grand Indian wedding of Shri and Deepak, an incredible celebration photographed by Regeti's Photography! This clever couple brought in SW Events' professional planning staff to tailor their big nuptials that kicked off with a joyful Sangeet night! Among the many bright highlights from the evening, we love the beautiful drapery that served as background for the sweetheart swing as well as how the venue was brilliantly decked out in the vibrant pre-wedding decor by the creative L’AmbianceMOD Girl Studios made our Maharani the prettiest bride-to-be thanks to a glowing and fresh makeup and made her updo look extraordinary by adding some tropical flowers as hairpieces! The colorful blooms on her hair matched her peach color choli and dazzling fuchsia lehenga skirt she twirled as she danced with her prince Deepak who also donned an elegant Silk sherwani in blue! We are about to unveil the ceremony grandeur but first, make sure to peruse through all the dance performances, the multicolor decors and more in our complete gallery

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met the love of my life at James Madison University(JMU), Harrisonburg, VA. We got to know each other through common classes and friends and that’s how our life long journey begins. After we both graduated from JMU, we got into the same medical school where we continued our journey together. I knew he was the one from the moment we met; there was a special charm that we both fell for each other which I knew would keep us together forever.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
My handsome husband proposed to me on the auspicious day of Baisakhi 2017 at Great Falls Park in Virginia. It was a complete surprise for me. We were casually enjoying the park and walking through the trails until he found a romantic spot with a splendid view of a fall where we sat down to take a break from our walk. Little did I know that he was planning to propose to me within the next few minutes of our date. When he finally did propose I was astonished but was so happy to move forward in life with my best friend and love of my life.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We had the help of a wedding planner, Sagina Wahi, which made our wedding planning process organized. We were able to discuss with our planner exactly what we wanted and she was able to provide us the options and resources available. Our venues were river creek clubhouse for sangeet and Westfields Marriott for wedding and reception. Both of these venues were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better. My hair and makeup was done by mod girl studio and she was an amazing person to work with. Our outfits were custom made by professional designers both in India and the United States. Our decor theme complemented our outfits perfectly by L’Ambience which went way beyond our expectations.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process would be planning all wedding activities together such as decor, first dance, selecting different outfits for each other & families, coming up with songs and dance performances and creating our pre-wedding video. It gave us an opportunity to bring both of us close to each other’s families as they were equally part of all the arrangements.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I have to say that guests love our wedding because we were able to show two Indian cultures coming together. My husband is Punjabi and I am from Hyderabad background but born in Washington D.C. As Punjabi touch brings lots of Bhangra, dance, music which brought a lot more energy and enthusiasm to the wedding. Both sides of the families enjoyed traditional Indian food and drinks. We had many diverse performances from both sides that were enjoyed by everyone.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
1. During our Sangeet, our guests were part of our grand entrance while holding sparklers. This was really special for both of us as this was something we always wanted.
