I am going a little extra today. Extra glam. Extra Indian bridal wear. Extra everything. With Maharani Sita and Kunal's ultra elegant Indian wedding; this is not a very hard feat. Project Bride DC was given the task of delivering Sita's vision and they handed it to her in a lustrous, bedazzled gift box. Every ounce of this Indian wedding was dripping with Bollywood flair intermixed with modern sophistication and the results are what made this Indian wedding one of my favorites. Photographick Studios was there to witness all the magic that you can find in our specialized gallery

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We actually met online! He was living in Michigan and I was living in Pittsburgh at the time. It turned out that we had a few friends in common and even had lived in the same cities but at different times. He eventually drove four hours to Pittsburgh just to take me to dinner! We had a great time at dinner and the rest, as they say, is history!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We had just driven all the way from Pittsburgh to Boston to move me in. That Friday, Kunal suggested we go out to a nice dinner in Boston to celebrate the big move. It was right before Christmas so he took me around the city to see the lights! After he walked me to this beautiful spot on the waterfront and before I knew it, he was down on one knee! I may or may not have told him to "Shut up!" before I said YES! Afterward, he surprised me again with our families waiting at a nearby restaurant!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I knew I needed a wedding planner to help me plan since I was living in Boston and getting married in Maryland. I had a really good feeling after I spoke with Neeva (from Project Bride DC). She was integral to setting the timeline to get things done in a timely manner (we only had 9 months to plan). With Neeva's help, I realized the more time I gave my vendors (scheduling trials and site visits) and the clearer I was with my vision, the better the end result would be. This was especially true for outfits. I selected my outfit in March for a September wedding. That gives the vendor enough time to send it to India if needed, and any additional alterations that may be needed.
