There is nothing quite like being in sunny California with a celebration decorated and designed by Deepti's Floral Designs & Mandaps and coordinated by Shilpa Patel Events. Pair that with the ambiance of a bustling fusion Indian and Chinese wedding and you are in for a total visual treat. To kick off the monumental morning, Karishma Beauty brought their overflowing makeup bag to glam up the bride. Ruby red lips, rosy cheeks, and perfectly arched eyebrows set Aneri up for her big entrance at the Westin South Coast Plaza ceremony venue. Her green, champagne, and red lehenga and coordinating jewels were total bridal goals, and she was a vision of beauty as she reunited with her handsome beau Christopher for their first look. We are obsessing over their gorgeous, outdoor couple portraits under swaying palm trees. Such vibrant snaps! Hurry back for more ceremony loveliness, when Aneri and Christopher recite their vows under an open air mandap designed by Deepti's Floral Designs & Mandap. We have tons more photos of this grand event in the full gallery captured by Aaroneye Photography, so take a look. And make sure to scroll below for our behind the scenes interview with Aneri!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

My husband and I initially met through mutual friends right after we graduated college. We were mere acquaintances for a few years. However, we both randomly ended up at the same grad school and re-connected! After being just friends for awhile, we finally started dating. What really made us a strong couple was that 2 years of our relationship was spent long distance - LA and NYC. When we both ended up back in LA, we really saw our relationship grow even stronger, and couldn't imagine our lives without one another. Chris is loving, patient, and kind, and always treats me like a princess, and it was a no-brainer that he was "the one" for me!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

My husband Chris rented out a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles. He told me we were going to a friend's event at this venue. It turned out he had the entire rooftop decorated with flowers, candles,  and pictures of us together. He timed the proposal and asked me to marry him right at sunset! It was beautiful and perfect, and well planned out!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

I started my wedding planning by choosing a venue which had experience with Indian weddings, and was open to accommodating our headcount, and requests. For all other vendors, I got a bunch of names from friends and family who had previously gotten married, and also looked on several websites  (such as Maharani Weddings!) for recommendations of vendors. We chose the vendors who I got the best vibes from and those who were willing to be flexible and work with me for certain ideas. I went in open-minded, and had the vendors actually suggest tips to me, such as color schemes, song choices, or even timeline of events. Everyone was so helpful, especially my coordinator, Shilpa Patel - her team really helped bring everything together!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

Our guests had a unique experience at both our wedding and reception. It was special for them to see a union of two different cultures. They loved seeing Chris' energy during his bharat and dancing to the upbeat Indian music. And they loved that we really tried to incorporate both the Chinese and Indian cultures at our reception. We had amazing Chinese lion dancers, Bollywood dancers, and I even wore outfits from both countries during the course of the evening. It was our perfect fusion wedding!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

As a bride to be, it's important to be organized, and to remember to not stress out! Everything falls into place, and at the end of the day, the important thing is that you get to marry your "one," and nothing else should matter. However, with the planning process, it is okay to lean on friends and family for support, and to not be shy to ask for help from those who are close!

Thank you Aneri! Stay tuned for so much more ceremony beauty!
