For Maharani Geetika and Dhananjay it was all about the glam details. To ensure they had their dream come true wedding, this bride and groom brought on the planning and design team from Electric Karma International and the decor masters from Mandap Creations to make theirs an event to remember. And of course, all star beauty team is a must, so Chamak Cosmetics arrived bright and early with their makeup mastery to transform this bride into a goddess. A side swept ‘do, shimmering eyelids, and a ruby red pout completed Geetika’s beauty look. For her bridal attire, she went with a showstopping, floor length turquoise, purple, and gold anarkali that perfectly fit with their royal peacock theme. Such a fashionable and unique choice! The venue was utterly decked out in hues of blue, green, and gold by the mavens at Mandap Creations. And make sure to take a moment and take note of the lux tablescapes featuring twinkling candles, lush florals, golden plates, and so many more dazzling touches! The night soon descended into the dance party of a lifetime as Karma DJ's started their pulsating beats. There’s so much wedding inspiration to take away from this once in a lifetime bash, so take a peek at the full gallery where Biyani Photography has captured the magic perfectly! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Back in 2014, at a Halloween party, I was dressed as Harley Quinn and he was dressed as a penguin (not the comic character, the actual animal). His costume served the functional purpose to help stay warm with the Chicago cold. A mutual mutual friend introduced us that evening; one thing led to another and here we are 2.5 years later, married!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

As cliche as this sounds, it was the perfect proposal! He knows how much I love Cali, the beach, sweets/dessert and my passion for guitar.  What better way to incorporate all those items in a proposal than during a sunset picnic at La Jolla Beach in San Diego with a guitarist playing our favorite jams and a spread of sweets and appetizers!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Since we reside in Chicago and with our work schedules while planning the wedding, we felt it would be best to go with a planner from the very beginning. Even though the wedding was going to be held in my hometown (Sugar Land, Tx),  it just made sense to use somebody well informed of all the vendors, and has built a reputable relationship with them Not to mention, my husbands and my parents travel for their business,  it was preferred to have somebody local to attend vendor meetings when it wasn't feasible for us to.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

My family went to India, specifically, Jaipur where my mom's family is partially from to get my outfits. I wanted to have some traditional aspects of our wedding, therefore, went with red. The intricacies of an outfit and something that is a classic with a modern twist is what I was going for.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The food and cake tasting and hair/make trials. My husband and I are BIG foodie's so really enjoyed tasting the various dishes and brainstorming creative ways to display them at our wedding festivities. I enjoyed the hair and makeup portion because...who doesn't like to be glammed up for fun?!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

The food, music (our DJ/MC got LITERALLY everybody on the dance floor), the venues, and the timeliness of it all.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Yes...getting ready for the wedding ceremony with my mom, our first look and our first dance.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

Our Sangeet was held at country club, the venue overlooked a beautiful golf course. It was Rajasthani inspired with lanterns, bright colored pillows and colorful lights!

Wedding: Enchanted Garden Themed- Purple, Green, and Blue were our color themes with ivy, candles and a chandelier on the mandap.

Reception: Full Peacock themed. Our color theme inspired us to bring out the peacock theme.

Hope you loved this wedding lovelies!
