We are at Bhavna and Alok’s wedding celebration at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Coast, awaiting for the bride to make her grand entrance. A rich gold Ganesh statue was perched in front of the ballroom that the wedding ceremony was to take place in. Most brides choose to have the Ganesh statues in the entryway as this holy god symbolizes protection for all those who enter. Utsav Planners Inc. not only provided direction to the wedding event but also served as the main decorators. Instead of opting for pillars, a lavish backdrop was created in tones of orange and ivory. Surrounding the drapery was a gold, intricate structure that wrapped all the way across. The ceremony was officiated by Pandit Doobay who blessed the couple on their new journey in life. After the ceremony ended, the wedding party took it outdoors for a creative photo shoot with Colin Lyons Photography. Guests dined on traditional Indian cuisine that was provided by Krishna Catering and Restaurant.
