“I tried to look all over for the perfect place on Earth to propose, but I couldn’t find one, so I took to the sky…;” we swear those are not made-up words! Our Raja Aaron proposed to his ladylove, Ahalia, on a hot-air balloon and since then, the two were thoroughly invested in planning their wedding! They worked with Platinum Celebrations to host a sublime ceremony at The Swan Club, and every element perfectly coordinated with each other! The Swan Club has been aptly described as a “photographer’s paradise”, so that combined with the incredibly talented MaxPhoto NY resulted in some of the best keepsakes! Ahalia wore a classic red bridal lengha made by her aunt Mini, and paired it with a tulle red dupatta, both finished with floral appliqué embroidery. Makeup by Khadija emphasized Maharani Ahalia's eyes through a rendition of the Blake Lively inner eye-shadow, and gave her great eyebrows, and a sculpted face. Ahalia donned some of the most exquisite pieces of jewelry we’ve come across - the juxtaposition between the rubies on her neckpieces, and diamonds on her hand jewelry was stunning! The Mehndi by KAYA Herbal Beauty Salon beautifully offset the jeweled tones. On the other hand, Aaron was having a ball getting dressed (read: chilling with his squad); he opted for a traditional white and red sherwani by Rehana’s Exclusive Design. The Baraat put together by Ponies Will Travel, featured some fun shots of the groomsmen, who coordinated the sherwani bottoms and dupattas! The couple in their coordinated ensembles made for poster-worthy photos when they first met eye-to-eye during their first look. The picturesque outdoors of The Swan Club, along with MaxPhoto NY’s skillful play with the lights, made for the perfect set for their wedding film, also shot by MaxPhoto NY. We love us some puns so when we learned that this star couple has a website titled How I Met My Other, we were super excited to know about their story! More on that in the upcoming posts, along with a complete rundown on their Hindu ceremony!
