Welcome! Welcome! What an explosion of Indian weddings to land on our desktop at Maharani Weddings thus far. I absolutely love gazing at the beautiful galleries, lenghas and the overall spirit of wedding season and today, this Indian wedding out of Santa Barbara has added more fuel to that fire. It really is all in the details and I absolutely love the flair and glam of Maharani Nikita and Karthik’s blockbuster wedding event. Before we jump into the gorgeous beach side wedding, let’s take a moment to talk about a Maharaja moment. Blatantly, Karthik’s proposal. The whole ordeal was a celebration throughout the bay with a mixture of scavenger hunts, memorable places, and one of my favorite places to photograph, The Palace of Fine Arts. What led after was a series of events that united two families together at the gorgeous venue at the Fess Parker Hilton. Dolled up by Lulu rolled up her sleeves and with a dash of her magic wand, transformed Nikita into a blushing pink bride. On her sangeet night, held at the Fess Parker as well, Henna Me Beautiful, stood up to her name and bedecked the bridal party. Known for using organic henna paste that is home-made and all natural, it is no wonder that this Maharani’s mehndi came out so gorgeous! The bride looked charming and whimsical in a non traditional pink and gold embroidered lengha draped in cut-out patterns.
