Get your Pinterest boards ready Maharanis because this reception and Indian bride deserve boards all to themselves! Maharani Navneet slayed in a light pink and a navy blue lengha that she designed alongside Sarika Jain from Tantra Fashions.  Her necklace and bangles stopped me right in my tracks and this is one Maharani who knows about jewelry. And, speaking of accesorizing, spruced up by Abhishek Decorators I don’t know if I have ever seen The View on the Hudson look prettier. This was one spectacular reception as Moghul Caterers were on bites while Bollywood DJs were on beats.  Our hats are off to  Platinum Guide VendorMehndikalogie, for sharing this with us, and relive all the wonderful moments in the gallery!

More behind the scenes with Maharani Navneet :

What did you enjoy most abot the process of planning your dream Indian wedding?

I planned our wedding myself which proved a great challenge as I was still living in London when many of the important decisions such as venue selection had to be made. Amit moved back to New York a few months before me so he visited the venues we shortlisted and I joined via Facetime! On top of that we were having a Hindu ceremony and I had never been to a Hindu wedding in my life!

Did you and your Raja have a special song that you danced to as your first dance? How did you choose it?

Our first dance was to a Ed Sheeran cover of Wonderwall by the British band Oasis.

Did family or friends help out with certain special details that really added to the event?

Our friends and cousins were an amazing sounding board. From helping me select a make up artist to making me an entire playlist for the DJ! They also put together an phenomenal UK vs USA dance off which was hilarious and definitely the highlight of our reception.

See all you Maharanis tomorrow!
