Today we're at the The Westin Jersey City Newport, where bride-to-be, Anajali, is celebrating some pre-wedding festivities to kick off her and her Raja, Jay's, wedding weekend! Lightyear Studio caught up with the happy couple for some portraits that showcase their pre-wedding fashions and excitement. Maharani Anjali is rocking a vibrant marigold lengha that dazzles in the light of the setting sun, and Jay brought in a pop of chartreuse to the party with his handsome sherwani. Maharani Anjali on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Jay:
"Jay and I had a mutual friend (Lakshmi) - he went to high school with her and I went to college with her. After we graduated from college, we all ended up in New York, and Lakshmi and I were roommates. Through her, Jay and I were at the same dinners and bars every once in a while, and I always thought he was super sweet. When Lakshmi's birthday was coming up, I reached out to a few of her friends (including Jay), to help me orchestrate a surprise party. He showed up early to help (with pineapples in hand as I requested), and that was the night it all started! Looking back, it's hard to identify the exact day or moment where I knew he was the one - I must've known all along."
