Hello, my darlings! We are headed off to San Ramon, California for this lovely Indian wedding by the highly-talented Wedding Documentary Photography & Videography! Feast your eyes on the beautiful bride, Roma, getting ready for her big day. First off, her hair & makeup, all thanks to Christal Clear, is flawless! I love the gold & coppery-toned eye-shadows coupled with the glossy-finish rose lip. Oh, and don't even get me started on the hair-do! That intricately pinned-up do is fierce & fabulous! Speaking of fab, Keyuri's decorates the Maharani's feminine hands & feet with a beautiful mehndi design. Upon mentioning design, I adore the traditional red & gold lengha by Aombray, who I hear provided the fashions for the groom as well. And finally, I can't help but go gaga for the stunning, bright gold jewelry that Roma is draped in! It gives the complete look a jaw-dropping pop! As the blushing bride kisses the envelope holding the love letter to the man of her dreams, we await to see the ceremony! Make sure to check back because delish treats by none other than Milan Catering is coming up! And wait until you see how the Vintage Carriage Company presents the groom to us! Until then, see even more getting ready images in the gallery!

From the bride, on how they met:

"Tapan had seen a photo of me on Facebook through a mutual friend. After months of insisting we be introduced, we met at a birthday party in Bodega Bay. We spent the whole night talking, exchanged numbers, and we have been inseparable since."

On the proposal:

"Following a grueling academic semester, Tapan had a surprise trip planned for the two of them. When they got to the airport it was clear they were headed to Los Angeles, also known to Roma as DISNEYLAND! Upon landing, the cab driver took them to the Grand Californian hotel where they checked in for the weekend. As this hotel was part of California Adventure, it only made sense to use the first day at this theme park. They had made it through only one ride before Tapan started getting antsy, insisting he had heard "the Sleeping Beauty castle is amazing" and that they must go see it at "dusk." After much insisting, the two rushed across the park to enter into Disneyland. As they approached the castle, Tapan suggested getting pictures taken by one of the Disney photographers. After just a few clicks, Tapan got down on one knee and popped the big question, and the Happiest Place on Earth became even happier…"

On the hair & makeup:

"I had a hair trial with Christal Caladaio a few months before the ceremony, and I loved my looks at the time. The makeup was flawless, even at the trial. However, days before the wedding I found other hair styles that I fell in love with and knew I wanted for my events. I showed these to Christal hours before each event, and she went above and beyond to match and top each of the looks I selected. I would trust her with any and all hair and make up styles."

On the bridal fashions:
"I did some brief internet research before I was connected with a designer in India. With his help, I was able to design my outfits for the garba/sangeet, ceremony, and the reception. I designed Tapan's outfits for the garba/sangeet and the ceremony with this designer too."

On a special detail:

"My mom insisted I wear real gold for the ceremony, and she added a special touch of giving me jewelry she wore for her wedding over 35 years ago (something borrowed and something old, all in one!) It was very special for the both of us."

That is incredibly sweet. Pre-wedding portraits are up next!
