Welcome back, darlings! Our next Filmy comes to us all the way from Ontario, Canada, courtesy of r5 Vibe, who was in charge of everything from cinematography to the planning to the decor to the lighting! Maharani Pallavi was highly impressed with how r5 Vibe mastered every detail of this Hindu-Sikh ceremony and said everyone was in tears because they were so touched by the whole event! I also hear that Nimboo Photography did an amazing job of capturing every detail of every day with their incredible photographic skills! The captivating ceremony takes place at the Grand Victorian Convention Centre, which I know is popular for its 24-foot coffered ceilings, imported marble foyers & wondrous waterfalls! Sounds like an ideal venue to me! Maharani Pallavi looks like a living doll on the big day! Sara Shakir of La Sara MUA flew in all the way from D.C. just to make sure the bride looked like perfection during her ceremony  & reception. I must add that this blushing bride has beautiful taste in bridal fashions, provided by Frontier Raas, including the coral & silver sparkling sensation of a gown she wore at the reception! Oh, and her hairstyle was fierce! Her good friend, Amy Putens magically mimicked the style from a 2013 Delhi Couture Week fashion show! I hear the bride also looked like a dream during her sangeet, thanks to the makeup artistry of Bridal Elegance by Suman Khosla! I also would be remiss to mention the gorgeous mehndi design provided by Bhavna’s Henna and Arts, who leads in the mastery of henna art! And ladies, this bride's bling, courtesy of Zari & Zevar, is out of control! I just go gaga over her show-stopper of a tikka she wears as she dances the night away with her new hubby! What a statement piece! Speaking of dancing, word on the steets is that DJ Poojan brought the house down with his booming beats! And last, but definitely not least, if you're wondering who created that tremendously elegant 3 tier cake, it's by Fine Cakes by Zehraa Toronto-based baker extraordinaire. See it all and be as enchanted as I am!

From the bride, on how they met:

"We met at the wedding of a childhood friend, who happened to be getting married to Ricky's best friend."

On the proposal:

"Few weeks before proposing, Ricky said he'd be ready to get married in 2-3 years. As a result, I had no idea that he'd propose when he told me he's flying us to Rome, Italy for our anniversary. A hop, skip, and flight later -- we were in Villa Borghese and I asked a man in the park to take our photo not realizing this stranger was the hired Italian photographer. As he started taking our photos, I realized he wasn't using the phone any longer. Before I could understand what was going on, Ricky started to get on one knee and said 'this trip isn't just for our anniversary...' The rest is a beautiful blur! :)"

On the wedding style:

"Our wedding style was an elegant and magical event from start to finish. It seemed each function leading up to the big day was celebrated so eloquently by our families and friends, that we really think the energy in the room is the sole reason for making it as beautiful as it was. The colors were rich in blush pink, deep purples, and crystals everywhere."

On the planning:

"The celebration is only as amazing as the person you will marry and begin a life with as husband & wife. We enjoyed the little details incorporated in the decor which we felt represented our relationship, while trying to make it as enjoyable for our guests who traveled all around the world to be able to celebrate with us."

On hair & makeup:

"I had an incredible glam team for the wedding! For the weddings (Sikh & Hindu), I wanted my make-up to be subtle during the day and heavier by evening. My makeup artist, Sara Shakir, is based out of Washington D.C. and flew to Toronto, CA for our wedding per my request. She knew exactly what I wanted, and added a touch of red lips to my Hindu ceremony without going overboard on anything. I also added jasmine flowers to to my hair, just to give it a more traditional appeal. For our reception, my hairstyle was inspired by Deepika Padukone in the 2013 Delhi Couture Week fashion show as she modeled for Manish Malhotra. My great hairstylist and friend, Amy Putens, mirrored this style for the reception and I loved it! For make-up, Sara gave me sultry smokey eyes with a hint of glitter since my gown was a coral color with gold & silver work. It was absolutely perfect!

On the bridal fashions:

"I actually chose an anarkali, to wear for the Sikh ceremony in the morning and a sari to wear for the Hindu ceremony in the evening. My goal was to chose ensembles which would be unique to each ceremony, while I strived to look like a traditional Indian bride by wearing red on both occasions."

On the first dance:

"Coldplay, "Always in my head." Being in a long distance relationship is definitely not easy, it takes the right people, patience, and love. This song symbolizes that love, in every word.

On special details:

"Our families & friends are by far the greatest in the world. Since I am from Washington D.C. and he's from Toronto -- we had a friendly USA vs Canada competition at the reception which was led by our MC's, Yaminee & Nav - our older siblings. Needless to say, every guest left our wedding saying it was one of the best and we have only the amazing people in our lives to thank for making it so memorable."

Additional details:

"I had a few events take place in Washington D.C. and need to thank Suman Khosla for her amazing make-up and hair styles for our sangeet. In addition, Bhavna Naik for doing my henna and preparing custom designs based on the specific details I told her I love. We want to give a huge shout out to R5 Vibe, who single-handedly provided the most beautiful decor for the Hindu ceremony as well as our wedding reception. Every detail was mastered, including the table number cards with our signature red lips & mustaches to our stage which was fit for royalty. The team is extremely professional, and filmed our same-day edit video before our entrance into the reception. From what I heard, people were in tears and felt so touched by the whole thing. Our 3 tier cake was extremely grand, provided by Fine Cakes by Zehra who is a Toronto based baker extraordinaire. And last but certainly not least, our amazing photographer, Nimboo, who was able to capture every detail of the each day so beautifully through his incredible photos."
