Welcome back, my darlings! Here we are at the historical & highly picturesque Congressional Country Club in Maryland for this amazing Indian ceremony by Photographick Studios, who brilliantly captures the most memorable moments. The scenery is divine and the mandap is magical with the stunning peach drapery hovering over it. It's so hard to believe this venue first opened its doors in 1924! As Maharani Pooja walks down the aisle, I am just tickled pink with how excited she looks to marry the man of her dreams in her red-fuschia-gold lengha. Her new husband is no slouch either in his champagne-colored sherwani! I cannot wait to see their Catholic ceremony! For now, see more of this wonderful wedding in the gallery

From the bride, on the wedding style:

"I knew I wanted to get married outside, so searching for the perfect ceremony venue came first. The moment I stepped onto the terrace at Congressional, I knew this was the perfect ceremony venue. We were just a few miles outside of DC, but it was so peaceful, and was surrounded by trees that go on as far as the eye can see. Once that was done, my mother and I worked really hard on the decorations and aesthetics. We both agreed that light/pastel colors would complement the surrounding scenery. I wanted a soft feel to the mandap, which is why I chose a round shape with chiffon draping. Our decorator was very helpful, and made time to have day-long meetings with us to discuss every detail."

On a special moment:

"The most magical part was both of our families. Kyle has a huge family from Wisconsin that embraced Indian culture even more than some Indian people. Everyone, I mean everyone was dressed up in saris and kurtas, and completely embraced all of the Indian wedding traditions. My family said they have never seen a baraat like that before. My own family and friends welcomed the O'Mearas with open arms, and it was so amazing to see the love and joy around me of everyone celebrating together. Their love for us and each other was really contagious, and Kyle and I could not stop smiling all weekend."

On planning:

"My family - my parents and sister are what made this wedding so great. They all worked tirelessly for 10 months, and everyone was so enthusiastic about the planning process, especially my Dad! They welcomed everyone with open arms and generosity, and also made sure we paid attention to every detail. I am so grateful to them for making it the most perfect weekend."
