Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, Maharani Fareeha and her Prince Charming wed in a ceremony fit for a...well, princess. From their waterfront mehndi at the World Fair Marina to their ceremony at The Castle Sheraton in Parsippany, the bride and groom celebrate their big day in regal style along with their most treasured friends and family. Lucky for us, the talented team at House of Talent Studio were fortunate enough to snag a royal invite and are in attendance to document this momentous occasion. Our beautiful bride's wedding day hair and makeup could not be more picture perfect thanks to Singhar by Ayesha and the floral and decor provided by Stylish Events take this royal couple's reception to the next level.

The bride on meeting her groom:

"I met Shehbaz at my best friends wedding. He came from Ohio and I came from New York and we met in Chicago at my best friend's wedding. I guess love was in the air!"

On the proposal:

"Shehbaz is not a shy person, rather he is very outgoing and bold. However, when it came to proposing to me he was very shy about it. I could tell what he wanted to do but he was so nervous which made it very special. He decided not to do it in the fancy french restaurant, not the beautiful carriage ride around New York City, but at home in a very nervous yet beautiful way. It was a moment I will never forget."

On her wedding style:

"For the mehndi event I wanted lots and lots of color. I had my dress designed with three colors pink, green, and yellow. I wanted everything to be colorful that day so we decided on raspberry colored tablecloths and pink napkins. I wanted a very traditional look that day so I went for a very colorful stage with a gold paisley medallion in the center. For the wedding we still wanted color but not exactly like the mehndi event. We decided we wanted the hall to be lit up with different colored lighting. I wanted the stage to stand out so we went for white stage with a light pink led light in the background."

On planning her wedding:

"I enjoyed the way family and friends came together to celebrate Shehbaz and I. It was such a beautiful process. Everyone was eager to do their part and help. We are very blessed."

On shopping for her lengha:

"I looked online FOREVER. I went to Pakistan with my mom and I searched high and low for my dream dress. I decided on my valima dress but I could not find the perfect dress for my wedding day. I finally did buy a wedding dress while I was there but I could not say I loved it. I figured once I put it all together with the jewelry and make up it would become my perfect dress but I wasn't sure. Fast forwarding to a month before the wedding, I was going through a friend of mine's photo shoot at fashion show in Pakistan and noticed a dress on a model that I absolutely fell in love with. It was a very royal and regal looking dress with a contemporary touch. I contacted the designer Wahaj Khan in Pakistan and asked him if he could make that dress for me in a months time. He assured me that he would get it to me in time and he did. I received my dream wedding dress days before my wedding but I can definitely say it was worth the wait!"

On her most memorable moment:

"I remember saying my vows on stage and listening to my husband say his. It was very surreal when we were announced as husband and wife. It was one of the most special moments of my life."

On her hair and makeup:

"I had a trial done with Ayesha Khan from Singhar. However I decided on a completely different look on the day of the wedding. I loved the end result and Ayesha did a great job."

On her mehndi, venue, cake and bouquet:

"My mehndi was done by Henna by Fatema. She did an excellent job and I can't say I have ever seen a mehndi job done so beautifully before. I was ecstatic at how beautiful and dark the mehndi was. I got my wedding and mehndi and wedding jewelry made in Pakistan from a family jeweler. We chose our venue based on the fact that Sheraton Parsippany looked like a castle. It fit right in with the royal regal theme I had in mind. My delicious red velvet and strawberry custard cake was from Palermo Bakery in Ridgefield Park New Jersey. My bouquet was designed and made by my decorator Bharat from Stylish Events."

Hope you enjoyed the noble nuptials as much as we did and can't wait to share our next illustrious event with you!
