Our posh princess is all dolled up and now she's got her girls by her side! This bridal party is all things beautiful with a rainbow of saris that are as pretty as can be. How amazing do all these colors look side by side?! It makes our bride's bright red ceremony fit look even more brilliant! With her gorgeous headpiece in place (still loving those amazing jewels!) and Mark Swaroop Photography on the scene to take fabulous portraits, Maharani Veena is ready for her big moment. From the bride:
"Being a Rajput I grew up awestruck by my mom's jewelry, which she got from her mother. I always imagined myself wearing that extravagant 'ardha' choker, elaborate bajhuband with traditional 'poshak.' We wanted to embrace our rajputana culture hence the decor, dress code was all Rajputa. To see my friends who all turned up wearing bright colored poshak and all men in royal turban was such a beautiful sense of being part of a loving tribe."
On planning the wedding:
"I enjoyed that unique way people made me feel loved and important. Bridesmaids chirpy emailer chains telling me how much they loved the red color of my outfit, my dad's happy face to see his daughter marry such a fine gentleman, my brother and sister in law's small but funny tips to long and happy marriage."
