Happy Tuesday, Maharanis -- we can't wait to dive into yet another gorgeous Indian wedding with you today! We don't like to toot our own horn, but I'm so flattered to hear that today's featured bride was inspired by our Indian weddings blog. I hope her beautiful fusion wedding, set in Sydney, Australia, will help inspire other Maharanis, too!
Let's meet up with Sidd Rishi Photography at the Westin Hotel, Sydney, Australia, where Maharani Darkshayani is getting ready to become a wifey. With hair in rollers and makeup artist Kumuda by her side, our bride has waited more than five years to marry her workplace sweetheart. Though Darkshayani and groom Shehan are of Sri Lankan heritage, she is Hindu and he is Buddhist. In order to combine both cultures, the couple decided to have two ceremonies. The Poruwa Buddhist ceremony is begins this union below. And I must say, that jewelry set and sparkling white sari is to die for!
