Sadly we are at the end of our glorious Baltimore Indian wedding by Story Motion Studios, but we are going to go out with a bang! With purple being at the top of the trend charts for Indian weddings, I was delighted to see this reception use a bright blue color palette. It’s always a challenge to design a room in blue (because there aren’t naturally occurring blue flowers), so it’s a good thing that Partyland Flowers & Event Decor was in charge.  By adding a touch of hot pink to the palette, they were able to use roses and orchids in the centerpieces, and blue on the table clothes, lighting, and stationary. And, make sure that you take special note of the floral panther they created, it’s totally divine!

From Story Motion Studios :
A precious gem – that is what comes to mind when thinking of Seema and Ashish’s wedding at the historic Treemont Grand in Baltimore, MD. The old-world style venue, decorated with carved columns, elaborate chandeliers, marble floors, and deep rich colors was itself like an intricate jewel box, holding inside the treasures of this wedding celebration. Everything, from the bride’s own gold sparkly Badgley Mischka stilettos, her ornate jewelry and richly-embellished outfits, to the other women’s brightly-colored glittering saris and lenghas, were reminiscent of precious gems.

The cake was crafted with jeweler-like precision by renowned bakers at Charm City Cakes (of Ace of Cakes TV fame), decorated with a fondant that replicated the bride’s shawl, as if it was embroidered with golden thread itself. Not to be outdone, the décor crowned the wedding as a glowing colorful centerpiece setting the tone for the celebration. Designed by the Queen of Bling herself, Sachi Sood, and brought to life with the help of her talented mother Sunita and the team of @Partyland Flowers & Event Decor, the décor was awe-inspiring. Set at the Edwardian Hall, carved pedestals, resembling ornate wooden bracelets, supported delicate filigree of rose and orchid floral arrangements. Ceremony mandap presented a beautiful juxtaposition of a solid carved wood structure and soft, airy, semi-transparent fabric and crystal decoration. The warm décor of the ceremony transitioned into cool party atmosphere at the Mirror Hall, where Swarovski crystals together with orchids and candles made up the decorative backdrop for the couple at the center of the celebration. Sophisticated lighting design, along with monogram projected on the walls, provided an unforgettable atmosphere and set an intimate tone for the party.
In the midst of all this elaborate color and sparkle was petite and elegant Seema, who seemed to shine brighter than it all. Her eyes and smile lit up especially bright in the presence of her new husband Ashish!
Congratulations to the adorable couple!
