There is so much Maharani fun going around the web today!  We have breathtaking beauties entering our Maharani of the Month contest on Facebook today and over here we are kicking off the day with a delightful Same Day Edit by 618studios.  A mix of charming, traditional style with a swanky W Hotel spin on details, this Southern California Indian wedding will make you smile from ear to ear.  The light airy mandap, the bride’s two toned lengha, and her super high high heels are some of my very favorite parts. But the detail that takes first prize in my book is the children's education charity on Jolkana Foundation that these two lovebird donated to. So, sit back and relax Maharanis, because this morning treat is sure to make your heart sing!

From our Maharani, Anjali :
Trendy, modern, and chic mixed with tradition and romance plus details to the 10th degree would be the inspiration for Anjali and Mohsin’s wedding events.  The bride, a consultant by day, who frequents the likes of W and JW Marriott hotels on a weekly basis pulled elements and ideas from hotel lobbies and rooms.  Her groom, a finance manager, budgeted out all the expenses and the couple pulled together the wedding(s) of their dreams.  This interfaith couple who met back in 2004, went to USC business school together, and had been dating almost 7 years...they couldn't wait to get married.  Their joy was completely evident as they couldn't keep the glowing smiles off their faces. The events spanned across 5 days and 8 events, including a damask themed Mehndi/Sangeet and 2 wedding ceremonies, a Hindu ceremony and a Nikkah, at the beautiful Soka University with three completely different looks, topped off by a reception at the Irvine Marriott.   The serene and breathtaking Soka University only heightened the décor and floral created by Three Petals and the additions of details by the couple.   Anjali personally created all the signs, from buffet item name tags to reserved signs, to go along with the theme for each event.  Anjali and Mohsin wanted to make sure the wedding was something their guests would enjoy and remember, they included the standard candy/dessert bar and photo booth, but also wanted to mark their special day with a donation to charity as guest favors. Anjali and Mohsin donated to a charity with their own customized page that told their own story on Jolkana Foundation where guests  and others can contribute to their cause as well.  For the couple, the most important thing they did was to pull in vendors they trusted and enjoyed working with, they were open to working with vendors who may or may not have done many or any Indian weddings.  In the end this decision helped to create a mosaic of ideas and perspectives. Smooth execution by Elegant Events by Nutan added to making an unforgettable labor day weekend for everyone involved. Last but not least, the same day edit captured and beautifully put together by 618 studios captures the emotion from a true love story perfectly!  It's hard to believe that this was the first same day edit and first Indian wedding that came from the awesome 618studios couple, Kelley and Paul!

We aren't done yet, more Film-y Friday fun coming right up!
