Did you know that it takes 40 hours of manual embroidery to make one panel of the average bridal lengha?!  If you start counting the panels you ordered, it is enough to make your head spin.  I am a bit obsessed with the latest trend in indian bridal lengas called paneling.  Paneled lengas are a refreshing change to the traditional look for functions like your Mehndi or Sangeet.    Here are some lovely designs, of alternating panels, from Sangini:

Finally, some lengas are made up of a few different embroidery patterns that is linked together by a common color scheme.  The results are G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!
