Aperina Studios recently covered a seriously breathtaking Sikh wedding in Sacramento, California, and we're delighted to be sharing the stunning results of their efforts from that event with you today! Indian bride, Deepa, and the Raja of her dreams, Vijay, exchanged I dos in a traditional ceremony at the Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple West Sacramento, where the blushing Mrs-to-be was pretty in pink, turning heads in a carnation-colored wedding lengha with beautiful gold details, and Raja Vijay's sherwani featured a pattern with a contemporary twist! The happy couple looked on point! They called on the planning and decor pros from Anaïs Events to help them realize the Desi wedding of their dreams, and when you get to the post-ceremony details at the Mirage Banquet Halls, you're sure to be dazzled! The all-gold sweetheart stage glitters like a newly discovered trove of treasure, and the gorgeous Sikh bride took our breath away in a red and gold gown! Rukhsana's Beauty Palace made sure Deepa looked picture perfect from start to finish with flawless hair and makeup, and you'll be blown away by every single second of this Maharani's big day!

Maharani Deepa, on meeting the Raja of her dreams, Vijay:

"I met Vijay in undergrad at UC Davis, but it was a very brief and uneventful encounter. Fast forward about 8 years, we reconnected in San Francisco at a mutual friend's birthday dinner. We both quickly realized that we always had a great time together and we had similar family backgrounds and values. Most importantly, we saw the same things in our future, our lives just felt compatible. I loved that Vijay was a very transparent and honest person, someone who I knew I could trust with my life."

On her and Vijay's engagement:

"Our engagement wasn't over the top and that's exactly what I wanted. I even remember telling Vijay I did not want it to be done in public! With that in mind, Vijay spent an entire weekend gathering some of the best ingredients to cook me a fabulous 5 course meal. He loves to cook and plan...he even printed his own menu! It was all absolutely amazing."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"I was pretty fortunate that I had help of such a loving family and group of friends who knew exactly what I wanted. I didn't have to stress much about the little details because I knew they would be flawless. I loved that my family was a part of the planning. We took a trip to India and I hadn't been there in 22 years. Being there with family and picking out all the details for my bridal outfits was a great experience and I got to share with close family."

On the search for her dream wedding lengha(s):

"I first started with a general color palette I knew I wanted. I had always envisioned my clothes to be simple, elegant and timeless. I worked very closely with a designer in India to ensure all of the details were perfect. We went through sketches and clothing/color samples and in the end, it turned out amazing."

Tune in tomorrow, same place, same time, for another unforgettable wedding film!
