Cancun, MX Indian Wedding by Ptaufiq Photography

Some love stories begin with grand gestures. Mira & Keval’s? It started with a Snapchat request at a college party — smooth move, Keval. What followed was a festive NYC date under twinkling holiday lights and a connection that lit up brighter than Times Square. Fast forward to a jaw-dropping proposal in Cabo at the stunning Sunset Monalisa — and yes, Keval did pull the “let’s take a picture” trick before dropping to one knee. Iconic. When it came time to say “I do,” Mira & Keval knew they wanted more than a wedding — an experience. And that’s exactly what they created with their destination celebration at the luxurious The Grand at Moon Palace. With waves as their witnesses and love in the salty air, this wedding was a beachy dream wrapped in elegance.

Let’s give a standing ovation to the incredible vendor team that brought this vision to life. Eunice Bravo orchestrated the wedding expertly, ensuring every detail aligned with Mira and Keval’s vision of intimacy, simplicity, and beauty. Ptaufiq Photography didn’t just capture memories — they bottled up the feels in every shot, from windswept mandap moments to glamorous reception portraits. Mira’s stunning bridal glow? All thanks to the talented Cinderella Bridez, who nailed every look — from bold bridal red to serene seaside glam — with artistry and heart. The team also handled her draping and styling, ensuring every dupatta was draped like a dream. And let’s not forget Loto Mehndi, whose intricate henna designs were pure elegance etched in tradition.

Of course, the couple danced the night away to beats by the phenomenal M4U Events, who took every celebration from beautiful to absolutely electric. From the minute the baraat drums kicked into the final song at the reception, everyone — aunties, uncles, and TikTok-loving cousins alike — was on their feet. Their seamless transitions, perfectly curated playlists, and feel-the-bass sound system turned each event into a high-energy celebration of love. Whether it was the emotional sway of the first dance or the full-blown dance-off that broke out at the reception, they read the room like seasoned pros and kept the party vibes soaring all weekend. Mira & Keval didn’t just have a DJ — they had a complete entertainment experience.

Let’s talk bridal slay. Mira’s wedding wardrobe was a lineup of unforgettable fashion moments. Her red bridal lehenga by Ruchika Hurria was a vision of tradition and grandeur — she just knew the moment she saw it. Her sangeet lehenga by Seema Gujral brought all the whimsical vibes. She shimmered in a jaw-dropping Vvani Vats number for the reception, perfectly paired with glittering jewels from Laxmi Jewellers. Keval’s looks from Suit Supply and beyond? Smooth, sharp, and sophisticated. For Mira, the mandap was the most soul-stirring moment of the wedding. With her dad no longer physically present, her mom, sister, and brother-in-law performed the pooja alongside her — a moment that forever etched itself into her heart. Cue the happy tears.

Another standout? The sangeet. Mira choreographed heartfelt dances for Keval and her entire family, including a touching tribute to her parents and sister. Guests couldn’t stop talking about it; we don’t blame them. Mira reminded us that while perfection may be the goal, presence is the real gift. Some things may not go as planned, and that's okay—the real magic lies in embracing the joy, taking a deep breath, and soaking in the beautiful moments happening all around you. (We’ll be over here writing that down for life!) Be sure to check out our social media for even more beautiful moments from their celebration.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Keval first laid eyes on Mira at a college party. It was a moment that may have seemed ordinary to some, but it would soon become unforgettable. With a burst of courage, he asked for her Snapchat. To Mira, it felt like just another casual exchange — nothing more. But to Keval, it was the beginning of something special.

The very next day, he reached out and asked her on a date. Their first outing took place in the heart of New York City, right in the middle of the holiday season — a time when the city glows with magic and charm. That night, under the twinkling lights and surrounded by festive cheer, something new began to bloom between them.

And from that moment on, the rest was history.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Keval and Mira have always shared a love for tropical getaways. Cabo, Mexico, had been at the top of Mira’s travel list for a while, so Keval finally decided to take her. But what Mira didn’t know was that this trip wouldn’t be just another sunny escape — it would mark the beginning of forever.

The couple stayed at the stunning Nobu Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, soaking up the luxury and ocean views. One evening, Keval casually suggested they check out a beautiful restaurant nearby. Mira agreed, unaware of what was about to unfold.

They arrived at Sunset Monalisa — a breathtaking cliffside restaurant overlooking the sea — and Mira still had no idea where they were or what was coming. After being seated, Keval excused himself, saying he had to use the restroom. Moments later, he returned with the waiter and asked Mira if she wanted to take a picture.

As she stood up, ready to pose, Keval got down on one knee and asked the magic question.

Her answer? Yes — it was always yes.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
When it came to planning our wedding, we knew we wanted an intimate celebration where we could truly connect with our closest family and friends. South Asian weddings are often grand, so we chose a destination wedding to keep it meaningful and personal. From the start, we envisioned a sunset beach ceremony — a non-negotiable detail that shaped the rest of our planning. We wanted a location that felt like a getaway but wasn’t too far for our guests. That’s how we chose Cancun, Mexico. Its stunning beaches and laid-back vibe made it the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding. Three words that defined our vision: intimate, simple, and elegant.

Every outfit I chose felt like love at first sight. I’d walk away, try to keep looking, but I couldn't stop thinking about them. That’s how I truly knew I had found the perfect look for me — they stayed on my mind and in my heart.

When it came to securing our vendors, hair and makeup were my top priority. I created a vision board for each event — not only to stay organized, but to help my artist bring every look to life. Barbie from Cinderella Bridez was an absolute dream to work with. She perfected each look just as I imagined — if not even better.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
When I began shopping in India, I initially considered a pastel shade for my bridal dress. But the moment I tried on a red lehenga, I knew — nothing says “bride” quite like red.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
One of the most enjoyable parts of the planning process was our frequent trips to Cancun, Mexico, to finalize the details. While it might sound like a chore, for us, fans of beach getaways, it was the perfect way to unwind and de-stress throughout the wedding planning journey.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved the combination of a vacation and a wedding. The best part of having a destination wedding was that no one had to worry about heading home after the events. Everyone stayed fully energized and in vacation mode throughout the entire celebration.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Since my dad passed away, my mom, sister, and brother-in-law performed the pooja. Having not only my mom, but also my sister and brother-in-law by my side inside the mandap was truly special. They all hold a deeply cherished place in my heart.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
When it came to the decor, I knew I wanted a simple yet elegant look that would highlight the natural beauty of the stunning resort.

My dance performances at the Sangeet were far from ordinary. I dedicated a special dance to my husband, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and to my mom and dad, with my sister by my side. Many guests mentioned that this was the highlight of the wedding events.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
As a bride, it’s natural to want every detail to be perfect, and you should absolutely try your best. But also remember: something may not go exactly as planned, and that’s okay. Embrace the process and soak it all in, because after two years of planning, I truly feel like I blinked and it was all over.

This destination wedding was a stunning celebration with beautifully heartfelt moments. Enjoy!

New Jersey - Delaware Indian Wedding by Suvarn Studio

Some weddings are beautiful celebrations of love, and then some feel like a scene straight out of a dream—Rachana & Sagar's was definitely the latter. Their wedding was a perfect blend of tradition, elegance, and larger-than-life moments, creating an enchanting atmosphere. From heartfelt vows to joyous dances, every moment was filled with love, laughter, and a touch of Bollywood-worthy magic.

Rachana looked like the regal bride in a stunning red lehenga, exuding the classic charm that makes hearts skip a beat. Her bridal look was a flawless masterpiece, enhanced by the incredible talents of Cinderella Bridez, Barbie Patel, Portal Beauty, Michele's Station Square Salon, Faces by Stephanie, and Laniidoa Artistry. Every intricate detail, from her jewelry to her mehndi (thanks to Henna by Sajani and Henna Designs by Tulsi), told a story of timeless tradition and romance.

Before the main celebrations began, Rachana & Sagar kicked off their wedding weekend with a spectacular welcome party at Hilton Hasbrouck Heights. This venue provided the perfect setting for an evening filled with excitement, laughter, and heartfelt reunions. If castles could talk, The Legacy Castle would whisper tales of grandeur, romance, and Rachana & Sagar's spectacular wedding day. Its opulent architecture, soaring ceilings, and regal atmosphere provided the perfect setting for their royal affair. Walking through its majestic doors felt like stepping into a scene from a classic love story, where every detail was designed to impress.

For the reception, the celebrations moved to the stunning Chase Center on the Riverfront, a venue that effortlessly combined modern sophistication with the warmth of a grand celebration. Its spacious interiors, elegant lighting, and seamless layout made it the perfect stage for Rachana & Sagar's unforgettable evening. When guests arrived, they were greeted by an ambiance that exuded glamour and charm.

Planning an event of this scale requires vision, precision, and a touch of magic—and that's exactly what Aria Events delivered. Every detail, from Tradition and Trends' floral elegance to the seamless flow of each event, was curated to perfection. Rachana & Sagar's dream wedding wouldn't have been possible without their expertise, making every guest feel like part of something truly extraordinary.

The reception was the kind of event where you couldn't decide what to be more obsessed with—the stunning decor, the cake and treats by Calandra's Bakery, or the live music that set the perfect mood (courtesy of Foram Shah, Medley Entertainment, and saxophonist Jason Nelson). But let's be honest, it was Rachana & Sagar's first dance that stole the show. Under twinkling lights and surrounded by their loved ones, they glided across the floor like something straight out of a fairytale.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
The first time I met Jay was at garba in 2010. I had always noticed Jay being one of the most energetic, fun, and enthusiastic dancers in the crowd, not to mention I had always thought he was cute too, but I never had the courage to approach him. I was with a group of friends when all of a sudden, someone tapped me on my shoulder and I turned around to see no one other than Jay Patel himself. Before I even had a moment to think of what I was going to say, Jay apologized for bumping into the “wrong person” (clearly me ;P) and walked away.
Fast forward two months, I built up the courage to add Jay on facebook and after a handful of fun and exciting conversations, we went on our first date and the rest is history!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Jay and a few friends planned a night at a cocktail bar downtown I had been wanting to go to for months a few weeks after my birthday. Hours before the proposal, I found it strange that my mom and friends were helping me pick out an outfit and get ready just to go to a cocktail bar, but I didn’t think much of it. As my friend was driving us to the bar, she deceptively mentioned she had to make a last minute stop at a wedding welcome dinner and very, very strongly urged (aka forced) me to check out the venue. I walked into a beautiful garden with pathways adorned with candles and the song Tera Hone Laga Hoon playing in the background, one of the first songs Jay and I had danced together to. As I walked further along the candle-lit pathway, I saw Jay standing on top of a bed of rose petals shaped into a heart. He grabbed my hand, kelt down on one knee and beautifully articulated how meaningful the past 11 years of our relationship had been and ended with a final four-worded question. A flood of memories and joy filled my heart, so much to the point that I almost forgot to say “YES”! We then rejoiced with our families and friends with lots of laughs, photos, followed by dinner and an unforgettable evening with a party bus celebrating us!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I am an absolute sucker for weddings and enjoyed mostly the entire wedding planning process. However, a few special things do stand out in particular. The first was our venture to India for wedding shopping. I went to India in May (7 months prior to the wedding) for 2 weeks with my parents and in-laws and we traveled to various cities including Baroda, Mumbai, and Surat, where we got essentially everything for the wedding: clothes, weddings invitations, welcome bags, custom made bridesmaids/groomsmen outfits, jewelry, wedding favors, and much much more! It was definitely a very hectic and jam-packed 2 weeks, but what made it so special was that we were all together and it served as a beautiful way for both of our families to bond before Jay and I officially tied the knot. Not to mention all the yummy food we ate, which made the trip even more enjoyable!

Another enjoyable part of the planning process was selecting the music and choreographing dances. Jay and I love dancing/music and by default our families and friends really made a huge effort to put on their best performances. All of the dances were choreographed by ourselves or the performers which made it even more special! Our friends and cousins put together an epic performance at our reception highlighting the story of how we met, and it was truly something straight out of a Bollywood/Bhangra competition!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
One moment during the wedding weekend I will never forget was when we entered the sangeet. This was the first of the three wedding events that took place at our main venue and included both mine and Jay’s families and friends. Since Jay and I are huge garba dancers, our entrance ended up being an energetic, impromptu dandiya performance to a garba mashup that was custom made by a very close friend (shout out to DJ Amin). After we took our seats, Jay and I just took a few minutes to soak in everything around us. We were able to see our decor vision come into reality, we could hear our DJ playing the most hype music after months of discussing our music preference, and most importantly, we could feel the love around us as we were surrounded in a room full of our favorite people, which put the biggest smiles on our faces. Truly a surreal moment I will never forget!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Enjoy the wedding planning process and do what resonates well with you and your partner - this is ultimately what creates a wedding experience unique to you as a couple! With so many different ideas on social media, it can get very overwhelming to decide what you want and may pressure you to get/do things that may not represent you and your partner. Not to mention, this also leads to overspending! It took me a while to come to terms with this, but at the end of the day, I focused on what would be most memorable for my husband and I as we look back on the wedding weekend!
The most important advice I can share is to have fun and live in the moment!! You may spend months and months planning for the perfect wedding, and when the day is finally there, it goes by with the blink of an eye! So enjoy every moment - make your rounds to greet all your guests, take some time to enjoy the meal that you carefully selected, and don’t dwell on things that are not in your control!

Witness the love, laughter, and breathtaking moments of South Asian weddings. Come back for more!
