The bride on how she met her Rajah:

"I met my rajah in college (Undergrad) at ECU in Greenville, NC. He also happened to be the captain of the bhangra team I was also on and we got to know each other through that and basically ended up falling in love"

On the engagement:

"The proposal was the sweetest! We had a long distance relationship over the past 6 years. And we are both from Charlotte, NC. He went off to med school and I went to PA school. Ironically he matched for residency back at ECU where we had first met. He tricked me into going up with him a couple of months before he started and told me all the residents were bringing their significant others for a huge meet and greet. We arrived in Greenville, he dropped me off at a friends house and told me he was going to grab some drinks with some of the guys before. He came back that night around 9:00 PM and I was starving and not in a good mood as I was all dressed ready to go out for dinner...he takes his time getting ready, showering and puts on this suit and told me "everyone was wearing suits". We get into the car and he calls one of the guys to tell them we are on our way. Bharat is directionally challenged so I wasn't surprised at all when we end up on campus and I am telling him there is not restaurant on campus when he suddenly parks and jumps out of the car and I start running behind him and all of a sudden I see a bunch of candles lining the entrance of the cupola (that we have center of our campus) and he had strung pictures of us from each pillar and a couple of friends nearby and of course I knew then what was happening!! It was an amazing night!"

On her wedding style:

"What inspired me were my favorite colors. I loved emerald green and I wanted that incorporated into my wedding lengha which I had made with a designer in Bombay, this was the same with my reception outfit. Bharat and I went to ECU and the colors were purple and & gold which we also incorporated into our reception theme."

Meet me back here to watch this long distance love story become a bit closer during this couple's wedding ceremony!
