Chantilly, VA Indian Wedding by Paperboys

If chemistry could be bottled, Karishma & Gireesh would’ve needed a permit. Their Indian wedding at the elegant Westfields Marriott unfolded like a perfectly scored film—fitting, because today’s feature is exactly that: a cinematic keepsake you’ll want to watch, rewatch, and then text to your group chat with three heart-eyes emojis.

Westfields Marriott set the tone with grand ballrooms, manicured grounds, and guest-friendly logistics (read: zero “where do we go?” moments). It’s the kind of venue where your décor dreams don’t compete with the space—they harmonize. And harmonize they did, thanks to Sarah Khan Event Styling, who layered traditional Indian palettes with modern textures for a look that felt both heirloom and now. GC & CO Events were the calm center of the confetti storm—mapping each transition at Westfields Marriott with editor-level precision. They orchestrated vendor timing, audience flow, and room flips so smoothly that guests only noticed how good everything felt.

A maharani knows the magic is in the details, and Malia’s Makeup Artistry delivered timeless glam that held flawlessly from “getting ready” giggles to reception encores. May Jewelers added just the right amount of sparkle—the kind that catches light (and compliments) at every turn—while Khadija Choudhry’s expert draping and styling made every pleat and pallu a work of art. Consider this your friendly reminder: perfect pleats are a love language.

When a love story arrives in style, it does so with Harmon’s Carriages & Training. Hooves met hype, and the energy was instant. The kind of baraat that makes neighbors peek through curtains and wish they’d RSVP’d “yes.” Once the vows were sealed, Luxe Event Group flipped the switch with lighting that sculpted the room and a soundtrack that moved even the “I don’t dance” uncles. The dance floor transformed into a galaxy of motion—sequins, smiles, and steps that should count as a workout. If your cardio playlist needs an update, just rip the audio from this reception (kidding… mostly).

As seasoned editors, we see a lot of wedding films. This one from Paperboys understands rhythm: quiet, intimate prep; a kinetic baraat; a ceremony layered with meaning; and a reception that just keeps giving. It’s visually delicious, emotionally grounded, and refreshingly unfussy. In short: the kind of film that will make future you cry happy tears on anniversaries.

Rancho Las Lomas, CA Indian Wedding by White Rose Production

They say a wedding should feel like “you”—and when it came to Vinathi & Jayaram’s multi-day celebration in Southern California, it felt not only like them... but like generations of love, legacy, and South Indian culture woven into one poetic weekend. Hosted at the lush and romantic Rancho Las Lomas, the wedding felt like stepping into a South Indian reverie—with tiled rooftops, flowering vines, and just enough jungle magic to make your heart skip a beat. Vinathi was instantly drawn to the venue’s Portuguese-style architecture, which reminded her of homes back in South India. And with nature showing off in all directions (hello, banana leaves and marigolds!), it truly felt like the perfect canvas for a culturally rooted celebration with a distinctly personal twist.

The Marigold Company was the secret behind the seamless experience. With Vinathi & Jayaram juggling two cultures, a bold vision, and about a million moving pieces, the team made it all feel graceful. Think logistics, love, and laughter—all handled with intention. Three Petals Design delivered florals that looked like they stepped out of a South Indian watercolor painting. From jasmine strands to papayas nestled next to coconuts, the aesthetic wasn’t just pretty—it was powerful. A décor mockup preview even brought our bride to silence (you know it’s real when a bride is speechless three weeks before the big day). Dolled Up by Lulu worked her signature magic, creating a look that was as timeless as it was personal. A long braid, traditional Lakshmi jewelry, and a soft bridal glow helped Vinathi channel generations of elegance—modern bride, but make it a goddess. From a red tissue silk saree handpicked by her mother in India, to jasmine and tuberose dotting the décor, to a two-hour ceremony thoughtfully softened by boba service (yes, you read that right)—every detail told a story.

EPDJ kept the energy flowing with expert lighting and DJ work, perfectly balancing vibrant dance floor moments with ceremony serenity. And yes, we’re still thinking about the beats that carried the crowd into the night. Natraj brought the flavor fireworks with catering that made even the pickiest auntie go back for seconds (and thirds). And we have to mention Band Baaja Boba, who stole the show with custom drinks based on the couple’s story—Georgia peach lassi? Yes please. But if you ask us, what captured the soul of the weekend? It was that first look. After a 2 AM wake-up call, hours of prep, and all the emotional buildup, seeing Jayaram quieted everything. In her words: “All the noise faded… I was reminded exactly why we were doing all of this.” Cue the tears.

And now, let’s take a moment to honor the cinematic brilliance of White Rose Production Cinema and Photo—because calling them a vendor doesn’t quite do them justice. If ever there were a team that knew how to tell a love story through movement, light, and unspoken emotion, it’s them. From the very first frame, their work felt like poetry in motion. Every lingering glance, every rustle of silk, every tear delicately brushed away—they captured it all without ever feeling intrusive or staged. They curated them with care, artistry, and a kind of cinematic grace that transforms a wedding day into a timeless keepsake. Their work will live on as a legacy for the couple and their families, and honestly? We’ve already rewatched the highlight reel more times than we’d like to admit.

Throughout the planning process, Vinathi learned one key lesson she’s eager to pass on to future brides: hire a planner you trust. Sometimes you know exactly what you want,” she shared, “but not necessarily who to turn to to make it happen.”

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My husband and I both come from South Indian families—he’s Tamil and I’m Kannada—so we naturally wanted our wedding to reflect the traditions we grew up with. That became a quiet guide for many of the choices we made throughout the planning process.

When we visited Rancho Las Lomas, I was drawn to it immediately. The Portuguese-style architecture—especially the tiled roofs, lush greenery, and all the flowering plants on the property—reminded me of homes I’d seen in South India. It felt like an unexpected but fitting backdrop for the kind of celebration we were imagining.

We brought in elements that felt familiar to us—jasmine, marigold, tuberose, banana leaves, coconuts, and seasonal fruits like bananas and papayas. These touches helped create an atmosphere that felt rooted and full of meaning.

For my bridal look, I wore a red tissue silk saree, similar to what my grandmother, mother, and sister wore as brides. I paired it with traditional Lakshmi temple jewelry and a long braid, which I’ve always associated with South Indian weddings. It felt right to wear something so rooted in tradition—something that connected me to both family and place.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For my wedding saree, the choice was deeply rooted in tradition. I wanted to follow in the footsteps of the women in my family by wearing a red tissue silk saree—something my grandmother, mother, and sister had all done in their own way. My mom actually picked it out for me while she was in India, and we made the final decision together over a video call. It felt meaningful to carry that continuity forward. I kept the saree traditional and let my makeup and jewelry be where I expressed more of my own style, while still keeping things classic.

For the reception, I chose a lehenga from Sari Palace. I knew it would likely be a one-time wear—as bridal lehengas often are—so I wanted something that really made a statement. The gold instantly stood out to me, and when I tried it on, it just felt right. It was bold but elegant, and the kind of outfit that didn’t need much else to shine.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
One of the most enjoyable parts of the planning process was gathering inspiration. We spent time looking through Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok—not in an overwhelming way, but just to get a sense of what felt right for us. It helped us clarify what we were drawn to and how we wanted the day to feel.

A moment that really stood out was when we saw the decor mock-up from our vendor, Three Petals, a few weeks before the wedding. It was the first time we saw our ideas take shape in a tangible way. I remember just standing there, not saying much, because it all felt a bit surreal. That was the moment it started to feel real—that this was actually happening.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our wedding happened to fall on an especially hot day, and we were conscious of how long our ceremony would be—about two hours—so we tried to think ahead about how to keep guests comfortable. One detail that people kept mentioning afterward was the boba we served during the ceremony, thanks to our vendor, Band Baaja Boba.

They worked closely with us to create custom flavors that reflected parts of our story: Mumbai kala khatta lemonade for him, Georgia peach lassi for me, and an Orange County–inspired Arnold Palmer for both of us. It was something small, but it added a personal touch—and on such a warm day, it really made a difference. We loved that it felt thoughtful without being over the top, and our guests appreciated it too.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The first look, without a doubt. I had a really early start that morning—waking up at 2 a.m.—so by the time we were ready for the first look, I had spent hours sitting with all the anticipation, nerves, and quiet buildup of the day.

But the moment I saw my husband, everything shifted. All the noise faded, and I was reminded exactly why we were doing all of this. It grounded me in the best possible way. That moment replays in my mind often—it was calm, emotional, and full of clarity.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
One piece of advice I’d share is to seriously consider working with a wedding planner. There are so many moving parts—big and small—that can be easy to miss, especially when you’re trying to balance vision with logistics. Sometimes you know exactly what you want, but not necessarily who to turn to in order to make it happen.

Our planner, The Marigold Company, was instrumental in bringing our ideas to life. They understood our vision and helped connect us with the right vendors, making the entire process feel so much more manageable. On the day of the wedding, they were behind the scenes making sure everything ran smoothly, which allowed us to be fully present and actually enjoy the day. That made all the difference.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I’m just so grateful for the incredible team of vendors who brought our wedding to life. There’s so much that happens behind the scenes, and each one of them played such a meaningful role in making the day feel thoughtful, beautiful, and true to us. It really was a collaborative effort, and I feel lucky to have worked with such talented and kind people.

Every detail—from the florals to the food to the music—was touched by someone who really cared about getting it right, and that made all the difference.

When tradition meets intention, weddings like this one are born—elegant and unforgettable.

Orlando, FL Indian Wedding by Sona Photography

When you plan a wedding at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort, you already know you’re stepping into a fairytale. But when Shreela & Abhishek’s vibrant Indian celebration took over the venue, it was clear this was no ordinary happily ever after—this was a full-on Bollywood meets Disney dream, with sparkle, soul, and the kind of joy that makes your heart dance (alongside your feet).

From the moment guests arrived, it was evident that this wedding was crafted with intention, imagination, and that little touch of “Wow, how did they pull that off?” From a regal baraat led by Wind Chase Farm’s majestic horse to the bride’s stunning entrance that could easily rival any royal procession, every detail of this wedding weekend was infused with personality and love. And speaking of love—Shreela’s first look with Abhishek was the kind that melts your screen. The way he looked at her, jaw dropped, breath stolen…let’s just say this is why we believe in romantic comedies. Her hair and makeup, flawlessly executed by A Touch of Fierce, framed her radiance perfectly. And Abhishek? Let’s just say he cleaned up so well, even the chandeliers in the ballroom were jealous.

Planning & Design by Eventrics Weddings was the heartbeat of this celebration. From syncing up intricate cultural traditions with modern luxury to ensuring every moment flowed effortlessly, this team didn’t just plan an event—they orchestrated a symphony of emotion, elegance, and impeccable timing. If wedding coordination were an Olympic sport, they would be walking away with a gold medal and a standing ovation. And thank the photo gods for Sona Photography, who captured every stolen glance, every twirl, and every overjoyed auntie moment like true visual poets. Their lens told the love story better than words ever could—rich in color, overflowing with feeling, and perfectly framed in golden Florida light. And their cinematography? Just watch the wedding film (yes, we cried again). Every cinematic cut brings you closer to the magic of Shreela & Abhishek’s world. The floral & decor vision was brought to life by the extraordinary talents of Dreams to Reality, who truly turned the couple’s vision into a lush, fragrant, and color-drenched masterpiece. Think overflowing garlands, whimsical mandap designs, and reception tables that looked like they were plucked straight out of a romantic garden fantasy.

Special shoutout to Garlands by Kirti, whose floral artistry added stunning dimension to the ceremonial touches. No Indian wedding is complete without a mouthwatering feast, and Aashirwad Orlando delivered a culinary experience that had guests dreaming of second (and third) servings. Every bite was a celebration in itself! On the entertainment side, Awaaz Entertainment lit up the dance floor—literally. Their energy pulsed through the crowd, from the high-octane sangeet beats to the reception's euphoric dance party. Aunties, uncles, cousins, even the flower girl—nobody sat this one out. The invites and stationery by Levimar & Co. set the tone for the celebration—elegant, inviting, and full of personality. And behind Shreela’s gorgeous mehndi was the incredibly talented Priya Shah, who adorned her hands with intricate designs that told their love story in henna.

Shreela & Abhishek’s first dance—an elegant mix of old-school romance and modern flair that brought the crowd to their feet. Between the heartfelt speeches and surprise dance numbers (yes, there was a coordinated cousin dance, and it was everything), the reception was an unforgettable, joy-filled finale to a weekend of love.

Love, laughter, and luxury—Shreela & Abhishek’s big day was one for the Maharani history books!

Cancun, MX Indian Wedding by Saptapadi Weddings

When you combine tropical breezes, vibrant traditions, and two people madly in love, you get a destination wedding that’s not just unforgettable—frame-by-frame fabulous. Aishu & Kavish took over Cancun, Mexico, with a multi-day celebration that radiated joy, elegance, and just the right amount of drama (the good kind, we promise). With the golden sands of Riviera Maya as their canvas, this couple painted a masterpiece of love, laughter, and lehengas.

From the moment the festivities kicked off, it was clear that Aishu & Kavish’s wedding was built on intention, family, and flair. Beloved Planners, along with the powerhouse team of Jennyfer Reyes and Lilly Cruz, designed and orchestrated each event with precision and personality. Whether it was the vibrant mehndi moments or the emotional vows, every detail was steeped in tradition and taste—with a dash of contemporary sparkle. Aishu, a glowing vision of bridal perfection, had her glam handled by the incredibly talented Pooja Yaragarla, who created looks that were equal parts goddess and glowing beach queen. Guests didn’t miss out either—Gamaliel Alvarez ensured the entire wedding party was camera-ready from sunrise rituals to dance floor encores.

The ceremony, held at the serene Generations Resorts, was a sun-drenched dream. With waves crashing gently in the distance and floral mandap magic all around, Aishu’s entrance was straight out of a Bollywood love story. Kavish, looking dapper and dashing, stood waiting as the two locked eyes in a moment that could melt the entire Mexican coastline. And just when you thought it couldn’t get more cinematic… Enter Saptapadi Weddings, the dynamic duo behind the lens. Capturing every stolen glance, every teardrop, and every twirl, their photography and cinematography work turned memories into heirlooms. Their eye for storytelling is nothing short of poetic. The lighting? Ethereal. The framing? Flawless. The vibe? Unmatched. Just one look at their wedding film, and you’ll be reaching for tissues and your passport.

Once the vows were sealed, it was time to party. The El Dorado Spa Resorts transformed into a reception wonderland—think candlelight romance meets oceanfront chic. The newlyweds made a showstopping entrance, but it was their first dance (and Aishu’s twirls!) that had everyone gasping and grabbing their phones. From heartwarming speeches to wild dance-offs, the energy never dropped. The vibe was expertly set by Kundan Events, whose beats had aunties doing bhangra and uncles attempting TikTok trends. We’re not naming names... but videos exist. Aishu’s stunning mehndi designs, courtesy of Loto Mehndi, were nothing short of masterpieces. Each swirl told a story—from her proposal to shared travel adventures—and we’re still not over the tiny hidden initials.

In every photo and frame, you can feel it: this wasn’t just a wedding. It was a celebration of two soulmates finding each other and honoring their heritage while creating something beautifully their own.

From mehndi to music, every detail of this wedding radiated color, joy, and heartfelt love.

Huntington Beach, CA Indian Wedding by White Rose Production Cinema

If Taylor Swift's "Love Story" ever needed a wedding-themed sequel, Nikita & Nigam already lived it. Against the golden sands and ocean breeze of Huntington Beach, CA, this radiant couple brought the WOW factor to life with a wedding celebration that was nothing short of cinematic.

From the start, Nikita knew exactly where her bridal journey would begin: Sari Palace. Since its 2016 opening on Pioneer, it had been her go-to for all things fabulous—and she made it known to Heeral (the owner) that her wedding day would one day pass through those doors. That prophecy came true in the most full-circle way when Nikita became the first bride to say yes to the lengha in their newly built bridal studio! With Heeral's guidance, she took elements from various outfits and transformed them into the custom lengha of her dreams. Talk about the main character's energy!

And speaking of dream teams, let's talk about Ethnic Essence—the planning, design, and décor maestros who turned Nikita & Nigam's whirlwind of ideas into a picture-perfect reality. Jennifer and Smita Aunty worked closely with the couple through tastings, site visits, and many (many!) planning sessions, ultimately curating stunning ceremony and reception setups that left guests—and even the couple themselves—speechless. Bonus points for bridal attendant Neha, who came to the rescue with everything from caffeine to band-aids for bridal blisters. That's the kind of magic you only get from seasoned professionals who get it. Of course, the wedding wouldn't be complete without the perfect venue, and the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa delivered coastal elegance with a side of "wow, is this real life?" The oceanfront view provided a breathtaking backdrop for every event, from the joyous baraat to the emotional vows. The Hyatt staff ensured everything ran smoother than a perfectly timed dhol beat, making it the ultimate spot for a SoCal seaside shaadi.

Now let's talk about capturing memories, because White Rose Production Cinema and Photo understood the assignment. Their cinematography and photography brought every emotion to life—from the laughter and heartfelt speeches to that iconic reception moment when "Love Story" played, and the newlyweds were encircled by all their loved ones. The team at White Rose didn't just document the wedding—they bottled up its essence. Watch the video and try not to cry—we dare you. The beauty pros behind the bride's radiant glow? Enter Theocmua and Drea V Makeup, not only for the glam, but also for bridal draping and sari styling. This trio made sure Nikita was flawless from her first step down the aisle to her last twirl on the dance floor.

And speaking of perfectly timed beats—shoutout to Scorpio Road Show DJs, who kept the party vibes going all night long. And then there was the live magic of Amy Serrano Music, whose musical touch added an elegant sparkle to the atmosphere. Let's not forget the feast! Delhi Palace delighted guests with a flavorful menu that honored tradition and satisfied even the pickiest of palates.

As for advice from our Maharani herself? "Live in the moment." Wise words from a bride who knows that while planning is essential, the real magic is in being present.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Ever since Sari Palace opened on Pioneer in 2016, I have been getting my Indian outfits from there. I would jokingly tell the owner, Heeral, that she had to stay here until my wedding came around. Lo and behold, I was her first bride in the new bridal studio they built out. I never really had a particular style in mind, but the studio helped me see all of the amazing options I had available to customize and make into my dream lengha! I liked various elements of different outfits and Heeral graciously helped my vision come true with my final bridal lengha!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Working with Ethnic Essence (especially Jennifer) throughout the planning process was definitely a joy! We had so many questions and some concerns, but Jennifer graciously helped us navigate through it all. We weren’t really sure what types of decor we wanted and were all over the board… but after meeting with her and Smita Aunty a few times, we finally perfected our vision for the ceremony and reception. They went above and beyond our expectations and were truly a joy to work with - through the food tastings, site visits, countless hours of planning, etc.

On the day of, they were also extremely helpful and ensured things went smoothly. My bridal attendant, Neha, was also a huge help in calming my nerves and making sure I had everything I needed, from coffee to band-aids for my blisters! We are so grateful to have worked with Ethnic Essence for our wedding and cannot recommend them enough!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There was one point during the reception where we played the song Love Story and my husband and I were dancing in the middle of the dance floor, with all of our loved ones circled around us. We were able to really stop and look around/enjoy the presence of our family and friends on this special day.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Live in the moment. I’m very Type A and like to plan well in advance, but I went in with the mindset knowing that something may not go as planned due to what I had heard from many couples. Thankfully, things went smoothly, but it was over before we knew it! Months and months of planning were over in the blink of an eye. So definitely live in the moment and enjoy each other’s presence. It’s your day as a couple, and you want to make it memorable for decades to come! The little things won’t matter down the road.

From the beach to the ballroom, Nikita & Nigam’s wedding was a dream from start to finish.
