Some weddings feel like a beautiful celebration. Others feel like a full cultural experience wrapped in emotion, fashion, music, and enough unforgettable moments to leave guests emotionally attached for months afterward. Shilpa & Cyrus’s Dayton wedding weekend was exactly that kind of magic—a celebration where timeless South Asian traditions met modern elegance in the most joyful and deeply personal way.
Hosted across some of Dayton’s most iconic venues, this multi-day wedding perfectly blended grandeur, warmth, and personality from beginning to end. Every event carried its own unique energy while still feeling beautifully connected to the couple’s story—and honestly, that balance is wedding gold.
The festivities began at Dayton Masonic Center, where the sangeet unfolded with all the vibrant energy South Asian wedding lovers know and adore. Behind the seamless execution of the wedding weekend was Roop Events, who orchestrated every celebration beautifully while ensuring the couple’s personality remained at the center of it all. Multi-event South Asian weddings require an extraordinary level of coordination and creative vision, and this team delivered an experience that felt polished, immersive, and effortlessly elegant from start to finish.
Adding vibrant beauty and layered detail throughout the weekend, Happy Claps alongside Sphire Elegance transformed each venue into a stunning celebration space filled with luxurious florals, romantic décor, and elevated design moments that enhanced every event beautifully. From colorful sangeet energy to sophisticated reception glamour, every space felt intentionally curated without losing warmth or intimacy.
The wedding ceremony itself took place at Hindu Temple of Dayton, where tradition, spirituality, and emotion came together in the most meaningful way. Surrounded by loved ones, Shilpa & Cyrus exchanged vows in a ceremony that felt deeply rooted in culture while still reflecting their modern love story beautifully. And Shilpa? Absolutely breathtaking. Wearing stunning bridal fashions by Seema Gujral, she embodied modern Maharani elegance effortlessly. The intricate detailing, rich textures, and regal silhouette paired perfectly with glamorous beauty styling by Ravina Patel, creating bridal looks that felt timeless, sophisticated, and completely unforgettable. Add in intricate mehndi artistry by Henna Art by Rashida, and every bridal detail came together flawlessly.
Guests were also treated to incredible cuisine from Desi Bites, whose flavorful dishes brought another rich layer of tradition and celebration to the wedding weekend. And because South Asian weddings essentially function on equal parts love and food, the culinary experience absolutely mattered. The celebrations culminated at the breathtaking Dayton Arcade, where historic architecture met modern reception glamour in spectacular fashion. Candlelit details, elegant rentals from Prime Time Party & Event Rental, and seamless service from Elite Catering created an atmosphere that felt luxurious, welcoming, and celebration-ready all at once.
And then the dance floor officially took over. DJ Mavi Productions brought nonstop energy to the reception, creating the kind of packed dance floor that South Asian weddings practically require. Guests danced, celebrated, and fully embraced the joy of the evening with the kind of enthusiasm that guarantees sore feet and zero regrets the next morning. Capturing every emotional moment, glamorous detail, and joy-filled celebration was Bambino International, whose photography and cinematography beautifully documented the weekend with cinematic artistry and heartfelt storytelling. Every frame feels vibrant and immersive, preserving not only the visual beauty of the wedding but the warmth and connection shared between Shilpa, Cyrus, and everyone who celebrated beside them.
Shilpa & Cyrus’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most unforgettable celebrations are the ones filled with intention, culture, emotion, and pure joy. Elegant yet lively, timeless yet modern, this Dayton fusion wedding delivered every bit of Maharani magic we could possibly ask for.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I knew he was "the one" not because of one grand moment, but because of all the little ones. It was the way he made me laugh, the way we could talk about anything, and the way he showed up for the people he loves. He is one of the most loving and caring people I know, and he puts his whole heart into his relationships, always making the people around him feel valued, supported, and loved.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He planned a trip to Antigua and Barbuda, and during our time there, he proposed on the beach. What made it so special was that he knew exactly how I would want it—simple, intimate, and just the two of us. There were no crowds or big surprises, just a beautiful moment that felt completely like us.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning our wedding was such a fun experience because we really focused on creating events that felt like us. We chose Hard Rock Los Cabos as our venue, and it was everything we hoped for. The resort was beautiful, incredibly accommodating to a South Asian wedding, and even had amazing Indian food throughout our stay, which was important to us and our guests.
For hair and makeup, I worked with @empowderbyamola, and she was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process and honestly felt more like a friend doing my makeup than a vendor.
I got my outfits from India, and shopping for them was one of the most fun parts of the wedding planning process. It gave us the opportunity to explore different parts of India, visit many shops, and spend time searching for the perfect outfits for each event.
Each event had its own theme and personality. For the Sangeet, we wanted something fun and energetic, so we went with a neon theme. For the wedding ceremony, we envisioned florals with a pop of color to create a vibrant and elegant atmosphere. For the reception, one thing we knew from the beginning was that we wanted a light-up dance floor to keep the party going and get everyone on the dance floor.
Overall, we had an incredible experience planning our wedding and loved bringing together all the details that made each event feel unique.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always knew I wanted to wear red on my wedding day. From a young age, I pictured myself in a traditional red bridal lehenga, so that decision came easily. When shopping, I focused on finding something that felt elegant, timeless, and true to tradition.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Honestly, the entire planning process was enjoyable. Having Dream Shaadi help plan our wedding made all the difference—they took care of every detail and made it feel like we weren’t even planning a wedding at times. Indian Destination Wedding also made sure all of our accommodations and travel were handled smoothly.
Having the right vendors in place really made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable from start to finish.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved that it was a destination wedding at Hard Rock Los Cabos. They really enjoyed that it was a three-day celebration, and each day felt like its own party. The resort itself was also a highlight for everyone. Having all of our family and friends together in one place for four days was an absolute blast.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the aisle and seeing Darshan waiting at the mandap replays constantly in my mind. Having all of our friends and family surrounding us in that moment to celebrate our love made it even more special.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our Sangeet, we went with a neon theme. We had a neon backdrop and neon arches at the entrance, and we gave our guests glow sticks and neon glasses to wear throughout the night on the dance floor. The sangeet was held on the terrace with an ocean view, and we had special dances from family and friends. The goal was to create a fun, high-energy night where everyone could dance and really kick off the celebrations.
For the reception, we kept things more elegant with a light-up dance floor and twinkle lights throughout the space. Walking into the reception hall and seeing everything lit up felt like a dream. We wanted it to feel elegant but still fun. One of the highlights was a surprise flash mob where both sides of the family came together for a large group performance, which was so much fun.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Honestly, to just enjoy yourself. This may be one of the few times all of your friends and family are together celebrating, so really take it all in. Don’t worry too much about the small details; it all comes together in the end. Make sure you have a team of vendors you can trust who truly understand your vision. Having the right vendors makes the entire process so much less stressful and allows you to actually enjoy the experience.

Some weddings whisper luxury. Priya & Parth’s wedding? It arrived fully dressed in couture, surrounded by overflowing florals, cinematic sunsets, and the kind of effortless elegance that makes everyone immediately update their Pinterest boards.
Hosted at the breathtaking Fairmont Grand Del Mar, this wedding weekend felt like a masterclass in modern South Asian wedding sophistication. Every event blended timeless romance with elevated design, creating a celebration that was equal parts regal, emotional, and impossibly stylish. Honestly, if “soft luxury meets Maharani magic” were an official wedding category, this would be the cover photo.
From the very beginning, the weekend carried an atmosphere of refined grandeur thanks to Elegant Events LLC, who flawlessly orchestrated every moment of the celebration. Multi-day South Asian weddings require an extraordinary level of precision behind the scenes, yet everything unfolded with a calm elegance that allowed guests to fully immerse themselves in the experience. From thoughtfully designed guest flow to seamless transitions between events, every detail felt intentional and elevated.
And then there was the décor. Because when Bloombox Designs is involved, you already know the floral artistry is about to become a major character in the wedding story. The spaces were transformed into lush romantic dreamscapes overflowing with luxurious blooms, layered textures, candlelit elegance, and sophisticated design moments that perfectly complemented the venue's grandeur.
Priya herself looked absolutely radiant across every celebration, embracing bridal fashion with a level of versatility we deeply admire. From the intricate artistry of Mrunalini Rao to the romantic sophistication of Ridhima Mehra and the glamorous detailing of Dolly J Studio, every bridal look reflected a different layer of her personality while remaining effortlessly cohesive. Paired with flawless beauty styling by Beauty by Lishma, she embodied modern Maharani elegance in every possible way.
And Parth? Calm, stylish, and completely captivated by his bride—which, frankly, is exactly the energy we like to see. Together, the couple brought warmth and authenticity into every event, creating a celebration that felt luxurious without ever losing emotional intimacy. Their chemistry translated beautifully through every glance, every laugh, and every quiet in-between moment shared throughout the weekend.
Of course, no unforgettable South Asian wedding is complete without an unforgettable party. Thankfully, DJ Dholi Dev understood the assignment completely. Between expertly curated music, vibrant lighting production, and nonstop dance floor energy, guests quickly abandoned any plans of “taking it easy tonight.” The atmosphere shifted effortlessly from elegant celebration to full-scale dance floor takeover in the best possible way. Honestly, somewhere between the dhol beats and the late-night dance circles, everyone collectively forgot they had feet.
Adding another layer of sophistication to the wedding design, Illuminate Event Services provided rentals that enhanced the luxurious atmosphere throughout the celebrations, tying together the modern romantic aesthetic beautifully.
Capturing every emotional, glamorous, and joy-filled moment was our Platinum Guide member, White Rose Production Cinema and Photo, alongside photographer Makenzie Rogers. Together, they documented the weekend with breathtaking artistry and cinematic storytelling that perfectly reflected both the grandeur and intimacy of the celebration. Every image feels luminous, emotional, and editorial-worthy while still preserving the authenticity of the couple’s connection. The result? A wedding gallery that feels timeless, romantic, and impossibly beautiful from beginning to end.
Priya & Parth’s wedding was the perfect reminder that true luxury isn’t just about beautiful venues or elaborate décor—it’s about creating an experience where every detail reflects the couple’s story, energy, and love. Elegant yet joyful, refined yet deeply emotional, this San Diego celebration delivered every bit of Maharani magic we could possibly hope for.
Return for breathtaking bridal couture and celebrations worthy of a red carpet.
Your wedding day is not just a celebration - it is a living story. The mandap draped in marigolds, the sound of the shehnai echoing through a grand hall, the Baraat winding through a venue so stunning that every guest stops to take it in. For a ceremony this full of meaning, you deserve a setting that rises to meet it.
MGM Resorts has long been synonymous with spectacle, luxury, and the kind of unforgettable moments that define a city. Now, as a certified vendor on MaharaniWeddings.com, MGM Resorts Signature Events brings that same energy to South Asian weddings. "We don't just host, we curate. Our job is to translate your vision into a venue, the venue into a night, and the night into something the room will still be describing eight years from now."
What sets MGM Resorts apart is sheer scope. With 13 iconic resorts across the Las Vegas Strip, including Bellagio, ARIA, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay, and Park MGM, the portfolio spans hundreds of distinct spaces. Whether you are envisioning a grand Walima reception beneath crystal chandeliers, an intimate Haldi ceremony on a sunlit terrace, or a Sangeet night that spills into a sophisticated ballroom with views of The Strip, MGM has a room, or an entire property, that was made for exactly that moment.
Think of a cocktail hour fountainside at Bellagio’s CARBONE RIVIERA pheras ceremony in an open-air setting at the Grand Patio. An intimate gathering tucked into The Vault, the semi-private dining room at ARIA’s Gymkhana. Renowned for its bold flavors and layered spices rooted in tradition, the menu features signature tandoor-grilled specialties, regional curries, fragrant biryanis, and chaat-style sharing plates, alongside exclusive dishes created specifically for Las Vegas. Complemented by Indian-inspired cocktails that reimagine classic favorites, Gymkhana brings an authentic and sophisticated dining experience to wedding celebrations, rehearsal dinners, and intimate gatherings alike. These are not generic banquet halls or dining spaces - they are experiences, each with its own personality, each capable of being transformed into something entirely yours.
South Asian weddings are not a single event, but a multi-day, multi-ceremony experience that requires a team who understands the difference between a Baraat entrance and a standard processional, who knows that a Sangeet is its own evening of choreography and celebration, and who respects the spiritual weight of the pheras and Nikah alongside the joy of the reception. MGM's MaharaniWeddings.com certification means exactly that: your events team has invested in understanding your culture, so you never have to over-explain what matters most.
Las Vegas has long been a dream destination for Indian and South Asian weddings, and MGM Resorts is why. The Strip offers proximity to world-class hospitality for your out-of-town guests, extraordinary dining experiences for rehearsal dinners and day-after brunches, and venues dramatic enough to match the grandeur of your ceremonies. From glittering ballrooms to starlit outdoor terraces, every celebration finds its home here.
Your iconic 'I Do' is waiting. Let MGM Resorts Signature Events help you build not just a wedding, but a legend.
