Experience the beauty of Manshi & Darshan’s big day—now unveiled on the Platinum Guide Blog!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I knew he was "the one" not because of one grand moment, but because of all the little ones. It was the way he made me laugh, the way we could talk about anything, and the way he showed up for the people he loves. He is one of the most loving and caring people I know, and he puts his whole heart into his relationships, always making the people around him feel valued, supported, and loved.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
He planned a trip to Antigua and Barbuda, and during our time there, he proposed on the beach. What made it so special was that he knew exactly how I would want it—simple, intimate, and just the two of us. There were no crowds or big surprises, just a beautiful moment that felt completely like us.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning our wedding was such a fun experience because we really focused on creating events that felt like us. We chose Hard Rock Los Cabos as our venue, and it was everything we hoped for. The resort was beautiful, incredibly accommodating to a South Asian wedding, and even had amazing Indian food throughout our stay, which was important to us and our guests.
For hair and makeup, I worked with @empowderbyamola, and she was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process and honestly felt more like a friend doing my makeup than a vendor.
I got my outfits from India, and shopping for them was one of the most fun parts of the wedding planning process. It gave us the opportunity to explore different parts of India, visit many shops, and spend time searching for the perfect outfits for each event.
Each event had its own theme and personality. For the Sangeet, we wanted something fun and energetic, so we went with a neon theme. For the wedding ceremony, we envisioned florals with a pop of color to create a vibrant and elegant atmosphere. For the reception, one thing we knew from the beginning was that we wanted a light-up dance floor to keep the party going and get everyone on the dance floor.
Overall, we had an incredible experience planning our wedding and loved bringing together all the details that made each event feel unique.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always knew I wanted to wear red on my wedding day. From a young age, I pictured myself in a traditional red bridal lehenga, so that decision came easily. When shopping, I focused on finding something that felt elegant, timeless, and true to tradition.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Honestly, the entire planning process was enjoyable. Having Dream Shaadi help plan our wedding made all the difference—they took care of every detail and made it feel like we weren’t even planning a wedding at times. Indian Destination Wedding also made sure all of our accommodations and travel were handled smoothly.
Having the right vendors in place really made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable from start to finish.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved that it was a destination wedding at Hard Rock Los Cabos. They really enjoyed that it was a three-day celebration, and each day felt like its own party. The resort itself was also a highlight for everyone. Having all of our family and friends together in one place for four days was an absolute blast.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the aisle and seeing Darshan waiting at the mandap replays constantly in my mind. Having all of our friends and family surrounding us in that moment to celebrate our love made it even more special.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our Sangeet, we went with a neon theme. We had a neon backdrop and neon arches at the entrance, and we gave our guests glow sticks and neon glasses to wear throughout the night on the dance floor. The sangeet was held on the terrace with an ocean view, and we had special dances from family and friends. The goal was to create a fun, high-energy night where everyone could dance and really kick off the celebrations.
For the reception, we kept things more elegant with a light-up dance floor and twinkle lights throughout the space. Walking into the reception hall and seeing everything lit up felt like a dream. We wanted it to feel elegant but still fun. One of the highlights was a surprise flash mob where both sides of the family came together for a large group performance, which was so much fun.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Honestly, to just enjoy yourself. This may be one of the few times all of your friends and family are together celebrating, so really take it all in. Don’t worry too much about the small details; it all comes together in the end. Make sure you have a team of vendors you can trust who truly understand your vision. Having the right vendors makes the entire process so much less stressful and allows you to actually enjoy the experience.
